Almost perfect, but one major flaw

These headphones are almost perfect. When I shop for headphones, wireless or wired, I look for three important things. 1. They have to be comfortable for a long time and not cause my ears pain after hours of wear 2. They have to have good to great audio quality depending on price 3. The earphones have to have good durability/construction quality, again depending on price There are several headphones I've worn that have excellent audio and durability, but constantly lack the comfort I seek. That's why comfort always is my top priority even over audio quality. Since these headphones are wireless, I also look for a long battery life and these do not disappoint in that area. I got real close to the advertised 14 hours constantly. These also have earfins so that the headphones stay in your ears for hours and don't fall out, a really nice bonus that does work. Honestly every in-ear headphones in this price range and above should have that feature, don't know why it's not a more common design. After all the positives about these headphones, there is one major negative that cannot be overcome for me at least. That's comfort. These headphones are not comfortable at all for long term wear. Even after less than 10 minutes of putting them on, they cause my ears pain. These headphones have a "bulge" near the tips on the side that cause a painful pressure against my ears, specifically the area called the concha. Yes, that's what it's called, look it up lol. There's also one minor annoyance I must mention as well. The volume control piece creates a little tug on your right ear because of its weight. Therefore, the wires always lean to the right, and you notice the weight of the volume piece and you know it's there most of the time. It didn't bother me much, but it might bother others more. Just wanted to mention it. It's a shame really. If these were comfortable, they would be such awesome headphones because everything else is great. As such, I cannot recommend these. Overall I give them 3.5 stars.

The sound quality and battery life of the Jaybird Tarah Pro is fantastic, my only complaint is the earbud tips...I have tiny ears and I thought the buds with fins would be fine but I cannot wear them for long periods of time. I work 12.5 hour shifts in a powerplant and the battery life and noise reduction has never let me down. I had a pair of the Jaybird X3s and the earbud tips from those fit the Tarah Pros so I've just replaced the tips with those and I've been fine. The magnetic tips are a life saver. The power saving functions are great in theory but it gets a little annoying that the earbuds keep powering themselves off if the magnetic tips are connected for a little bit (15 mins, I think). All in all, I would and have recommended these

These are really great earbuds. They stay in during exercise, and the wingtips prevent the buds from moving around. The design and charging are great, too. Even though I'd rather not have a proprietary charging cable, the magnetic snap-on means that I won't have to worry about damaging a usb port. However, the earbuds don't do a really great job of sealing out noise. I also don't like how when you snap the earbuds together magnetically, they disconnect. This is probably for battery and they reconnect after you separate the buds, but there's no way to turn this feature off in the app. The buds are really slim and fit well under my snowboarding helmet. Braided cable also prevents the wire from getting stuck, and won't drag on my neck if I'm sweaty.

I've tried many Bluetooth Headsets & I regularly follow tech reviews. I found this to be the Best Bluetooth Headset to be made yet. It got Good sound almost the best sounding right now, good fit. But the Best parts are its excellent battery life, magnetic play pause & sleep features & water resistance. What more do you want in a Bluetooth Headset. I felt it is better than & worth it for 160$ compared to Bose Soundsport wireless for 150$.

Previously I owned the X3's and I'm glad I upgraded. The battery life is superb. The durability of the rubber buds is better. I live the new tightening system, although the cord will hang off the back like a tail but it hasn't bothered me even while running. I'm no sound quality expert but these sound great to me once you choose an EQ preset from the app. The app lets you customized the EQ however you like!

The battery life alone on these is worth the price of admission. Battery life would be useless though if the buds sucked, which these do not. Great bass response, tips are easy to swap out, and being able to easily switch between behind ear and below ear is wonderful. I don't actually have anything negative to say about a tech purchase for the first time in a very long time.

These earbuds are excellent. Customizable sound profiles via the Jaybird app. I have several different bluetooth headphones and earbuds. These are probably my favorite. They are very comfortable while wearing them, even for long periods of time. The way the earbuds are designed they are able to get a tight seal in your ear canal so that they sound good. There is no sound leakage while wearing these. I have had these on while shopping in crowded stores while talking on the phone and the other party is able to hear me just fine. They do a good job of blocking out a lot of the noise around you so that the other party can you hear you clearly. I would recommend these if you are an avid runner or need something to wear while working out at the gym. I don't really care for the true wireless earbuds because most of the true wireless one's either don't have a good fit and are more prone to falling out of your ears, or they have sound leakage so they don't sound as good. My only complaint about the Tarah Pro's are the price. They definitely aren't cheap. But in this case I didn't mind paying more money to have a good sounding pair of earbuds that are just good all around earbuds for most uses. Highly recommended.

Jaybird has a reputation for quality, so I expected a lot from their flagship Tarah Pro Wireless Headphones. Not only did their performance meet my expectations, but they exceeded them in every way. They are expensive but are worth the price if you want the ultimate active lifestyle in-ear headphones. They sound great, have an incredibly long 14 hour battery life, and can survive anywhere you need them to go. SOUND QUALITY: I listened to many hours of music and found the sound to be full range, detailed, and accurate. They put out a surprising amount of bass for such a compact design. If you are upgrading from the earbuds that came with your phone, then you will really hear what you have been missing. The Jaybird App has several different EQ presets available to help customize the sound. There is also a customizable EQ, so that you can adjust the sound to your individual preference and to accommodate various content. This is critical because content can be mixed at such different levels that adjusting the EQ can help greatly with performance. Bluetooth 5.0 compatibility allows a higher bit rate signal that will sound better because it is less compressed than the earlier Bluetooth standards. DESIGN: I am very impressed with the feature set, design, and build quality. They have some very neat features that make using and wearing them a pleasure. The earpieces are magnetic and snap together so that when they are not in use they securely hang around my neck. The Speed Cinch allows me to tighten the cord, so I can keep it tight around my neck and shoulders. The cord is made of a comfortable fabric that is also reflective. The in-line remote is close to the earpiece so it is not dangling on the back of my neck. The buttons feel solid and durable. They are water resistant (IPX7) and can handle exposure to the elements. I am reluctant to take some of my other expensive headphones on the go because I am worried about them getting damaged. I do not have that concern with these headphones. They can be worn under or over the ear. I find that over the ear provides a more secure fit. Under the ear allows easier access to the inline remote. They are very lightweight and the ear gels make them so comfortable that it almost feels like I have nothing on. A huge benefit is the incredibly long 14 hour battery life, as opposed to most other compact in-ear headphones that top out at 5 to 6 hours. It only takes about 2 hours to fully charge them, and a quick 5 minute charge can power them for 2 hours. I am able to confirm that the battery lasts as long as the 14 hours it is rated. After using it for about 2 hours a day, I have only had to charge them once after about one week of use. They use a proprietary charger that magnetically snaps into the remote to charge. This method is effective and looks very elegant when connected. Per the brochure I received from Jaybird, the benefit to doing it this way is that the inline remote can be made lighter and thinner because some of the circuitry is incorporated into the charger. This also helps with the waterproofing by not having an exposed charging port on the headphones. The drawback to this of course is that if you lose or damage the charger then you will have to get a replacement from Jaybird A soft pouch is included that fits both the headphones and charger. VERDICT: I give the Jaybird Tarah Pro Headphones top marks for design, sound quality, durability, and comfort. The battery lasts incredibly long, they sound good, are comfortable to wear, and are virtually impervious to water. If you need headphones that can survive extreme conditions, then they are everything you would want and more.

As a trail runner, how the earphones fit is super important and Jaybird has done an amazing job with its new system, which also greatly improved the sound quality, with more bass than the Run I had been using. Battery life is amazing. Overall a great buy. Now I’m waiting for my wife to surprise me with a new pair of Jaybird Vista, I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

I purchased this back in November of 2019. And from the get go I was iffy about it. But I decided to give it a try anyways. Giving ample time with each size of the rubber plugs over a period of more than a month using it four times a week when i work out. Nothing fancy... Just some weights, no sudden movements, no treadmill, just lifting weights. And all three plugs have never been able to keep this things docked in my ear properly. Just the smallest amount of sweat and bam they pop out be me just moving my head to look down or up. But since I paid 170ish on this dam things I am not going to throw them away or anything of the sort... i just been enduring and dealing with the headache so not to be wasteful. But they aren't good. The lack of aftermarket tips for it makes it even worse at least that I could find. Other than that... battery life seems okay for me... I tend to plug it every other week as I only use it for about 4~6 hours weekly. The sound of when it is in your wear is pretty good for what it is... When you reading all this reviews saying that they are great when it comes to staying in during activity... well take those with a grain of salt... because not one single work out day I have been able to make it through without having to pop this things back in a dozen or more times. And that is with both under and over ear configurations. So yeah...

These had great sound, second to the Bose that I returned them for; however, the connecting strap was the dealbreaker. Jaybird is a great product because I already own a pair similar to these that I've had for over three years and still works great. These have better sound, but still the same nagging problem that ultimately drove me crazy. The strap that connects them would constantly get snagged on whatever I was wearing, my neck, etc and became a PITA for me. These had great sound, good battery life and a really good IOS app, but I just couldn't overcome the strap issue.

I like these headphones alot.. Sound quality is great, Battery life is amazing. Unfortunately they are not waterproof so do not take them into the shower.. after a while the rubber will start to bubble up and the headphones will stop to charging. The Cable should be a bit longer (maybe 2")... The length is not good for guys of average build and 18" necks. The current length doesnt allow you to wear them around your neck whenever the headphones are not in use. in which a carrying case would be helpful.
