The Jaybird Vista 2 are another entry into the growing active noise cancelling earbud market, and they did most everything right, though one bud does keep rebooting itself at random points (see more on that below). Starting with design, the buds come in a nice, very compact recharging case which can recharge with a USB-C (thank you for not using Micro USB!) or with a QI charger. The buds snap firmly into the case with magnets, ensuring they stay in place & charge each time. Pairing was incredibly easy with my Android device. Removing them from the case caused my phone to immediately recognize them (no pairing button or steps) and offered to download the app. The app is a must to allow you to control the various sound modes, shift between active noise cancelling or a mode that allows ambient sound in (for running or biking), and also to configure the buttons on the sides of the buds. The app also allows you to track your buds should you lose them. The sound quality is excellent, though the default had a little too much bass by default. The app, however, allows you to select any of 8 preset modes, and to edit each of those (and save them as your own). The noise cancellation works extremely well, and rivals over-the-ear ANC headphones. At the gym or when out in public, the The buds fit fairly comfortably, though I found it disappointing that the silicones on the buds are a 1-piece design, meaning the part that you insert into your ear canal and the “wing” that then fits into the cartilage of your ear to hold it in place is all 1 piece. If you have a larger ear or smaller canal, there is no ability to interchange a large say “wing” and a smaller canal bud. You’re stuck with small, medium, and large. The mic also does well and provides good quality when using for in-call features. Jaybird states that the headphones have up to 24 hours of use – 8 hours straight before needing to be recharged, with the case capable of 2 additional chargings. I have not gotten below 70%, even when using for 2 or 3 hours straight with ANC on. If you find yourself running low on power, Jaybird states that 5 minutes of charge will get you 1 hour of additional use. Finally, the devices feature IP68 protection against water and dust. Jaybird shows a user being able to rinse them off with a water bottle, though I’m not eager to try this feature. CONS: As mentioned above, I have had a redundant problem with one of the buds “rebooting” itself. It shuts off and then comes back on, reconnects, and picks up where it left off with the music. As for the color, it’s advertised as blue, though it’s much closer to a purple than a blue color. If you’re looking for something darker, go with the black color. Overall, these are a good entry into the ANC bud market with a ton of features. They’re comfortable to wear and have excellent sound. The rebooting thing, though, remains a concern, and not sure if it is a hardware issue or something that can be resolved with a firmware update. Jaybird should really take this into account and work on a solution.

These are great! The only downside is that the ear pieces aren't as customizable as the old X4 so they get uncomfortable after about an hour of use.

The ear buds sound amazing and if it’s not to your liking you can customize it to sound exactly how you want.

Normally won’t do this but these are the best earbuds I’ve had and believe me I’ve had them all. I’ve had all the AirPods, I’ve had the JBL, and even have the new beats EarPods which are great may I mind you but when it comes to workout earbuds these are the best. The best part about them there’s no real ear fatigue. I can have them on for over an hour without my hears hurting like the rest of them. I would recommend these to anyone.

The mic on this is super easy to overpower if you remotely dont talk like you're hiding from the villain in a horror film
