noise canceling
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ended up returning. these were too heavy in my ear so they were uncomfortable. they did not link to the app very well. but the sound was very good and blocked outside noise which was nice but i also needed some sound to come through because of my job. i gave 3 stars bc the sound was great but docked 2 off because i ended us returning. also takes a VERY long time to charge. my air pods charged super fast, i could check the battery without using a separate app and if i ever lost them i could use the find my app to locate. for the jaybirds you have to use their app to paid your earbuds to the phone, the connection between them and the app was very poor and if i were to lose them, i again would have to use the app and hope they connected to find them

Great for running
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first cordless ear buds and I was worried they might fall out when running, especially given my excessive sweating, but they do not move and the sound is great. The battery life is better than expected as well

Great headphones
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones sound really good. I like that they have the wing tips so they don’t get loose in your ears and fall out. I also like it had a case that can be charged wirelessly on a pad. Case is really small and fits in my pockets with ease. The app is really easy to use.

A bit louder than the original Jaybirds
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound can be great when downloading the Jaybird app and turning off the ambient mode or the noise cancelling mode. Ambient mode or the noise cancelling mode take away from the sound quality and loudness when turned on. The case is too slippery for my taste but love the fact that case is wireless charging capable.

Great in some ways, horrible in others.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start off by saying what Jaybird did right with these headphones: the design is beautiful, the fact that even the case has a form of water resistance is something I haven't seen in other comparable headsets, especially not in any in this price range. I LOVE the fabric on the outside of the earbuds that is meant to mitigate the wind noise. The app that you use to balance the EQ and customize the sound is phenomenal. The sound is actually pretty good, I must admit, the base is very punchy and the lows and mids come through quite nicely. There is an assortment of options (EQ wise) in their app for you to experiment with. Battery life is excellent as well, all the aforementioned featured would get a 5/5 except for maybe sound quality but that would still get a 4.5/5. Now, lets talk about what Jaybird did horribly. I don't know if I got a bad pair or what but the fabric and the feature in the app to help reduce wind noise during a phone call is useless. With the slightest breeze I was told "I can't hear you, it's really windy." Imagine my surprise when I was told that the person on the other line couldn't hear me when these earbuds had two features (an in-app feature and an actual physical feature on the earbuds themselves) to help stop that issue. I couldn't use these earbuds outside of the house at all. The other MAJOR issue I had was connectivity. I would lose connection so randomly. If I was in the gym and I had my phone in my pocket and I moved around too much my connection became very choppy, it was like using a bad portable CD player. I had to bring these back. I wanted to like these, I really did, but they were bad for me. If you can't make calls while outdoors and can't hold a strong connection when using them-then what's the point? The touch controls on it are very spotty as well, I found myself constantly tapping on them like a maniac at some points. ANC is pretty good though, the earbuds give you a tight seal and offer great passive noise cancelling and then when the ANC is turned on (via tapping earbuds or through the app) it is very effective.

Great wireless earbuds.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality is great, the build quality is sturdy, and they fit nice and snug in my ears and have yet to fall out. The battery life is alright, I can't complain too much as I never use them for longer than 30-45 minutes.

Jaybird Vista 2’s are good.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty good for the price and it comes with features I love like custom eq settings and the option to customize touch controls. Overall the sound quality is pretty good when you get a good eq setting. Active noise canceling could be better and some software issues need to be ironed out.

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These were not what I was expecting. I have been looking for good quality noise-cancelling earbuds around $150 or less and these were a little disappointing. Pros: lightweight small case wireless charging noise-cancellation cool color Cons: feel a bit cheap poor sound quality poor noise-cancellation quality couldn't find a good fit with the wing tips they hurt my ears after just a few minutes but would have been nice and snug otherwise

Average- JB Vista 2 ANC headphones
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a pair of the original Jaybird Vista Headphones. I like those better. They (Vista) connect easier than the Vista 2, the battery life on both the individual headphones and the charging/carrying case is better on the original Vista. I bought the Vista 2 for the Active Noise Canceling, which does work pretty well, but I suspect there are other brands with ANC that might work as well with perhaps better battery life and an easier Bluetooth connection. I do like the compact case on both the Vista and Vista 2. It seems to be smaller and more compact that other brands.

Great sound in rugged package
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Jaybird has updated their successful Vista true wireless earbuds, this time adding active noise cancellation and going all in on making them tough enough to stand up to any workout. As a fan of their X4 earbuds, I have been anxious to get my hands on the Vistas for some time, and I finally did. One of the things that I typically do not like about earbuds designed for sports is the mechanism used to keep them in your ears. An over-ear hook does do the job, but the earbud itself inevitably feels like it will not stay far enough into your ear canal. The “fins” or rubber hooks that many manufacturers use for the inside of the ear itself are often difficult to position properly, and constantly feel like they are falling out. That is why I was incredibly surprised at the way this is handled by the Vista 2. I did not have the previous model, so if this is old news, forgive me. The ear gels for the Vista 2 are integrated with a fin on top, and this is the first such fin design that I think really works. The Vista 2 earbuds are easy to insert into the ear, and the fin can simply be rotated into place. It is easy to get the right fit and you’re on your way! The Vista 2s come with 3 sets of ear gels. Size 2 is already installed from the factory. For a while, I thought these were the right ones for me since I generally use medium gels with most other manufacturers. However, I noticed that they sealed up my ear canal too well, so I wanted to try the smaller size. Jaybird offers two other sizes, one smaller and one larger than what is already installed. Interestingly, the smaller size does not include the fins. I do not necessarily mind going without the fins, and they still stayed in my ears no matter what, but I think it would have been good to have the choice. I did experience one unfortunate incident when I changed out the gels. The instructions show that you are supposed to grip right behind the fin and pull it off. When I did that, I tore the ear gel, so I was pretty disappointed by that. Hopefully, I can be satisfied with the smaller size gels, as the only way to replace my torn gel is to buy all 3 sizes again for $20. Sorry for spending so much time on the gels, but fit is extremely important. I’m happy to report that the Vista 2 earbuds are very comfortable, with or without the fins. If they’re not comfortable, you won’t wear them, it’s that simple. These are comfortable enough to wear for extended periods with no issue. The next important characteristic is sound quality. In my opinion, Jaybird’s sound quality is excellent, and the Vista 2 continues that tradition. The Jaybird app allows you to set a custom EQ and save it to the buds. This is important because, while you can use the buds without the app, having the ability to shape the sound no matter what you are listening to is a great feature. The sound produced by the 6mm drivers is full and rich, with crisp highs and solid lows that are not at all muddy. I found it very easy to get just the sound signature I was looking for. These are among the best I’ve heard. Connectivity is where a lot of earbuds stumble. Jaybird connects to each bud separately, providing a stronger connection and allowing for either bud to be used by itself. I did experience a few stutters, but nothing serious and not very often. Even when it happened, it would resolve itself quickly and didn’t continue. Beyond basic listening, the Jaybird Vista 2s offer a number of great features. New to this model is active noise cancellation, as well as SurroundSense that lets you hear what is going on around you, for those times when shutting out the world isn’t safe. Both ANC and SurroundSense relay on microphones to make the magic happen. The ANC is quite good, but if there is any kind of breeze or wind, you are going to hear that to the detriment of all else. When using SurroundSense, the microphones amplify the wind even more. The buds are covered in a mesh that is supposed to cut down on wind noise. If so, I would hate to imagine the sound of the wind without those. Another review completely panned the Vista 2 because of this, but I do not think it is a deal-breaker. It is, however, disappointing to encounter this at the upper end of the price scale for this category. When you are in a windy environment, it is best to just turn off ANC altogether. Each earbud features a physical button, as well as the ability to tap for certain functions. It is a great implementation and allows for a wide range of functions that you can invoke, either with a button or a tap. The buttons on mine were a little harder to press than I would have liked, and this resulted in my pressing them further into my ear than I wanted. As with most earbuds that include touch-sensitive controls, the tap functionality on the Vista 2s was a little temperamental. Other features include the ability to stop your music when a bud is removed. This comes in handy when the person you are passing wants to chat. The Vista 2s are IPX rated 68, which is the highest you can get, so you don’t have to worry about sweat or even getting caught in a downpour. If you like to take your tunes while you get some rugged exercise, these buds will be able to keep up with you. One thing Jaybird thought of that is rare is that the case itself is also IPX rated so it can take a splash as well. This matters because the case is small enough to go with you in your pocket. That is becoming all too rare these days, but it means you might actually bring these along with you. Plus, the case can be charged by either USB-C or wirelessly, so Jaybird’s got you covered no matter what. I am very impressed with the new Vista 2s, but I must say I’m disappointed in call quality. While my voice sounded just fine to the person on the other end, sound on my end wasn’t so good. It is hard to explain, but the sound quality of the call was kind of warbly and varied up and down. It was quite unpleasant, so I would have to say if calls are a big part of what you’re looking for, you may want to look elsewhere. I am hoping that a firmware update will correct this at some point. The Vista 2 is a great addition to the true wireless earbud space. If great sound, comfortable fit and rugged toughness are what you are looking for, then look no further. If you are someone who will use these for phone calls a lot, you should try to use these in person and compare to some others before deciding. I love these, but I must take off a star for the call quality. If a future update fixes this, they will be 5 stars in my book.

Great earbuds
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love these earbuds they worked for me in all settings. The only issue I had at time would be the left ear bud would disconnect. It didn't bother me much and would just reset them.

Disappointed. Battery issues
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These were highly rated so maybe I just got a bad pair, but some issues I think were just flaws. They wouldn't stay charged. I could go from 100% charged (case too) and leave them for a few days and they'd be almost dead. Most likely just a bad pair, but the ANC didn't do much and was a hindrance if I was running. Just a small breeze or the breeze from my running would be picked up the by mics and amplify it in my ears. I had to turn it off while running and turn on the pass-through, and even then the noise from the breeze would come through, never had that happened before in my previous earbuds. I could also never get the touch buttons to work properly, so that was frustrating. They sounded pretty clear if I was indoors in a quieter environment though, so it that sense they were just fine. All in all I was disappointed in a pair of earbuds that I finally selected after a lot of research into what I was looking for. Ended up with my other top pick the klipsch ts II sport (went with the jaybirds for cost) but the klipsch went on sale, so price was a wash. So far I like the klipsch, haven't had any battery issues but admittedly haven't run outside with them yet.

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid wireless headphones. These are to replace my tarah headphones that are reaching end of life. In the first few uses, I noticed that either the left or right would turnoff or disconnect randomly. Great improvements cover all the bases!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great improvement over previous model… covers all the bases! Jaybird - Vista 2 True Wireless Noise Cancelling In-Ear Headphones - Midnight Blue OK I love me some Bluetooth earbuds, and these are the best I have tried so far! Up until now, for active use and long-term comfort, the Jaybird RUN XT Sport were a good choice, except for a few issues with lag, ANC, and pocketability that have been totally improved upon by the Vista 2 model. SOUND is fully customizable with the Jaybird app, and with literally hundreds of customizations available to choose from, you should be able to find the ones that are best for your listening. Phone calls are not a problem – sound coming and going seems to be as good as any I have tried. Please note there is NO LAG if you are watching video, which was a bummer to me when using the RUN XT Sport buds. PULL-OUT STOPS PLAYBACK – this is a nice feature that might take you by surprise if you are not expecting it. If you remove one of the buds to talk to someone or for whatever reason, it will automatically pause playback on your device until you put the bud back in, then the playback resumes. ONE BUD will work just fine if you want to keep an ear open. Pop in EITHER the right or the left bud to listen or to use for phone calls. Either one works just as well as the other. The other bud can stay in the case – and hey you can swap out the right for the left or the left for the right and double your listening time if you are in the habit of only using one bud. FIT is excellent, with a low profile that doesn’t stick out from the ear and is comfortable even laying your head on a pillow for times of rest after exercise. The buds do not fall out when active, and can tolerate a lot of movement while keeping a secure fit. BATTERY runs for 5 or 6 hours per charge on the buds using ANC, and longer without. The case holds a couple of additional charges with a “quick charge” that gives you another hour to finish up with only 5 or 10 minutes in the case. The buds have a magnetic connection to the charging terminals, so they pop right in and line up properly to get a charge. There are indicator lights on the case to let you know you have a secure connection for charging. POCKETABILITY is very comfortable, with a slimmed down case that is comfortable in the pocket. There is also a pretty strong cord on the case if you want to hang them on a hook or clip, and I pop a thick band around the case just to be sure I don’t lost an earbud when using the cord instead of putting in the pocket. The case has a good magnetic closure, but I don’t want to run the risk of losing a bud so the heavy band is just to be sure I’m not worrying about it. CONTROLS are also customizable with the app if you don’t care for the default setup. I particularly like being able to “tap tap” on the buds without having to push down on a button to switch between modes. NOISE CANCELLING and SurroundSense both work well for me. The ANC works well, and is comparable to my headphones. Some reviews indicate that there is better ANC available on buds that are a higher price, but no surprise here and these are totally satisfactory to me. Tapping on the buds will switch from ANC ON to ANC OFF to SurroundSense. The SurroundSense is good when you want to hear what is going on around you, like when talking to someone or out on the road jogging or walking, and it seems like the ambient sounds are actually increased by the microphones. There are also settings for how much amplification you want to have using the app. I have read some reviews about wind noise with the SurroundSense when biking or running at a fast pace, but those are not my activities so no experience with this particular issue. If you don’t have earbuds in at all, and are riding or running at high speed, then your ears are going to “hear the wind” going by so maybe that’s just how it has to be? DURABILITY is the best I have found. Waterproof – so they can be washed off to remove sweat. I have read the advertised claims of “crushproof” which is nice to know but I hope there will not be a need to see how “crushproof” these are – but accidents happen and a cheaper pair that gets crunched if one falls out does not seem to be something to worry about with the “Earthproof Durability” design. Wireless CHARGING is coming on for many portable electronics, and the wireless plate for my wife’s phone seems to work just fine for the Vista 2 earbuds. I mostly use the USB-C port to charge, and either way these get charged up in just a few hours and then you are good for a day’s activities. JAYBIRD APP does just about everything except sell popcorn and make change. You can adjust the sound settings, adjust the “tap” settings, adjust the button settings, check the charge on each earbud and also the case, locate the last signal received from an earbud if you happen to lose a bud and need to retrace your route to find it, and even the case can be tracked to the last point that the case was open and sent a signal. Overall, this is the best set of true wireless buds I have tried – and I have gone through a good number of makes and models! I honestly cannot think of anything that is missing from the Vista 2 model. You can drop them, wash them, use one at a time, block out the noise or let it come through, low profile in the ears, easy to put in the pocket and lasts all day away from the charger.
