Summary: Great for exercising or outdoor use. The active noise cancelling (ANC) is worthless. Pros: - Stay in ear due to rubber fins - Good battery life - Great audio quality, sound great! - Very loud volume - Clicky buttons easy to use even when running or sweaty - Touch controls not as easy to use when running - Good audio EQ in app - The case is waterproof - Find my earbuds per bud, and includes case - Great passive noise cancelling due to snug fit - Wind noise cancelling from app Cons: - The ANC stops won't stop any noise, it does almost nothing when vacuuming or driving etc - The case is a bit fragile, particularly the hinge - Bad connection during runs starts playing loud static noise like losing reception on radio station not cool - A little slower to get in/out of ear due to wing tips Comparison to Jabra Elite 7 Active: These are worse in almost everyway to the the Jabra. The Elite 7 Active have better Bluetooth connection, multipoint pairing, better customization. Both have worthless ANC. The Vista 2 does block wind noise allowing use of pass through sound when running, and stay in ear slightly better. Review: I changed the settings to toggle between passthrough audio (for use when home so I can hear if my wife is trying to talk to me) and off (for running, gym, or when when I just want quite. I don't use ANC, it literally does nothing. Pass through has option to cancel wind noise in the app, this works well. These stay in your ear great due to wings. They snap into place in the case every time with no effort. These have physical buttons and touch controls. The controls are pretty easy to use and are customizable. I would prefer physical buttons and no touch controls. More customizability would be great, like the option to not use touch controls at all etc. The audio is very good and volume is very loud even in a noisy gym. The Google assistant functionality is pretty good, but not perfect. Overall would be much better if they could stay connected, actually had ANC, and we're more customizable. Would have given 4 stars if they weren't marketed as having ANC, because they don't! These are a great outdoors buds for a very active lifestyle, but they had to many issues for me so I had to return them.

so.. I ended up returning these, even though I rated it 4 stars. I ended up buying the bose noise cancelling. That being said, these things are amazing in certain aspects. 1st off, the app for this is the best headphone app I've ever used. eq settings, customizable, etc. 2nd, The case that these things come in, are really good as well. Very pocketable, and the loop thing is useful. 3rd. These things go in your ear, and will not pop out on accident no matter what. I feel like you could go on a roller coaster ride, and they would stay in. Best headphones for HIT or crossfit type of workouts I can imagine. IF you are needing a headset for that type of stuff, then this is it, period. read no further. Now comes the reasons why i returned it. wind noise, when hitting the fabric is horrible. if you are riding a bicycle or anything, or even sitting near a fan, or ac in your car, then you will catch it hitting the mic in anything excent ANC mode. Sound is just ok. for a $200 set of earbuds, I expect better. ANC, is more like ANR. you really have to blast your music for it to work, and that's not what I want to do, I get ANC so I DON'T have to blast the music. I needed something to mute out the music at my gym, and this wasn't it. I got better passive reduction with my old galaxy buds. Simply put. wind noise was the breaker though. I probably would have put up with them if ANC worked better, or if it had better speakers, but I can't pay premium price for earbuds, for the performance. I'm hoping the next gen eliminates the wind catching fabric, improves speakers and ANC, then for sure, it's an all around reccomend.

I have been on the hunt for some true wireless earbuds for the pets 6 months now. I almost was going to stay with some Jabra Elite Active 75ts that I have tried but they would not stay in my ear and I did not love the way that they sounded even with equalization. Upon returning those earbuds, I have tried several other brands some more expensive some fairly cheap but none checked all of the boxes for me. I needed Great sound, secure fit, and button controls (not touch), and a hearthrough function when out on the street. I was really interested in the first jaybirds but the fact that they did not have hearthrough was a deal-breaker for me. Compared to the Jabras I had, these are not as good but they are good enough. What sold me on these is the sound quality and the secure fit. I found a preset EQ that was submitted that I love and it really lets me enjoy the music that I love while working. Also the fit is really good though I feel like they may start hurting my ears with extended wear. That leads me to the cons. I did not like that they only came with three rubber fittings and because they are all one piece (ear tip and fin) you don't have any other options. I find myself having to change to the fitting without the fin when not running and putting it back on when I am active and constantly moving when I fear they could fall out. I wish there was at least an option to buy more tips on the website, even a foam option. Maybe Comply will make some for purchase and I can buy them separately. Also, the ANC on here is pretty bad. Not only does it not block out sound that well, it also changes the sound quality of the music for the worst IMO. I actually use the SurroundSense or just turn it off most of the time. Again, comparing the 75ts, Jabra wind in this category hands down. Hopefully there will be a firmware update in the future. Last thing, these are button AND touch controls. Buttons work great. Touch controls not so much. I find myself having to double tap them multiple times to get them to work. Luckily I just have it set for SurroundSense on and off so it's not used that often. My final thought is that I feel these are an excellent set of earbuds that check off many boxes and I am really happy with my purchase. I do not see myself getting another pair of earbuds for a very long time

This is the third set of these earbuds ive used. I love the way they sit in my ear, and the sound is good. This is the first pair with Active Noise Cancelling. Using the ANC while riding a bike doesn't work. make sure to turn it off. To my knowledge, the only way to change this is through the app on the phone. ANC works pretty well in other situations. The auto pause feature threw me for a loop also. Once i figured it out, it was cool.

They have a good sound. The only issue with them is that the connectivity, it sometimes turns off by itself and also the anc isn't even that noticeable at all. The SorroundSense they have works good enough but not great. The battery has really been upgraded gets me really close to the 8 hrs in that it says in the box. I really wouldn't recommended it for the price unless they would go on sale even still they have issues, hopefully a software update could fix but i doubt there will be one.

If you liked the vista 1 then you will like these, they are more or less the vista 1 with ANC, better battery life, and soundsense (just sound passthrough). They are the same size and comfort level as the originals, have almost the same controls, and are even more water proof. I don't care what some people are saying about the ANC not being amazing which it isn't but who cares, you get so many other things for the money and when you use the ANC right it does it's job great!

Worst Bluetooth headphones I've ever used. The app to control the equalizer and ANC does not work at all on newer Android phones. The buds themselves are extremely inconsistent to connect to the any phone Android or Apple. The right bud will sometimes not charge at all, even though the charging light is on. These are by far the worst earbuds I've ever used. When they work they are great but they rarely work. Please buy literally anything else. I bought cheap Chinese earbuds off of Amazon and gas stations for 20 bucks that have been better than these over $100 buds. If your going to spend the money just pay more for Sony or Bose if want good ANC.

I’m sure these earbuds are great if they fit your ears. They tick many of the boxes for feature-packed true wireless earbuds: they have a small case that charges via USB-C and Qi, they’re small and can survive the elements, they have a stable fit, have ANC, sound quality you can personalize while pulling from a mass community of others, and (supposedly) have a solid connection. Sure, the ANC isn’t as good as AirPods Pro or the new Sony earbuds but something is better than nothing. Despite all that, I had to return these because they didn’t make a seal in my ear canal unless I physically held them in. These sound like garbage without a proper seal, as is the case for all in-ear earbuds. I tried all three tips and none of them made a seal. I wanted to like these and I’ve heard good things about Jaybird but they would not fit my ears. Their sound quality was flat and lifeless whenever I did press them into my ears and their ANC softened the sound of my air conditioner but didn’t take it away (I wasn’t expecting these to be on-par with $250+ ANC earbuds). I adjusted the sound with the EQ and they were fine. Still nothing to write home about but I’ve also heard much worse. I think I would have eventually found an EQ that worked for me if they fit. I wanted to like these but I had to return them. I’m still looking for the perfect pair of wireless earbuds, ones that I can fit in my pocket, will actually stay in my ears, are comfortable, have good sound quality I can adjust, Qi charging, and some level of ANC even if it’s minimal.

The new Jaybird Vista 2s are a pretty good set of Bluetooth buds, but it has some issues I've found that keep it from being a great set. After my Jabra 75ts died out on me I started looking for a new set, I needed something that could handle sweat/dirt better since I use my buds alot when I'm working but didn't want to compromise on the sound quality. Pros : • The sound quality on these buds are great. Using the Jaybird app you can see it has all the standard features as far as EQ and sound settings go. I was thrown off by their options for preset EQs though, instead of the usual genre based EQ options they have them under unusual names like "ex. Warmth, Bringing the Bass, Rory Bosio, Timothy Olsen". Despite being uniquely named the preset EQs are customizable, so if you like one but wanna tweak it a bit you can. It also has some very good ANC capability, blocking out most of the noises you'll hear when using them either outdoors or indoors. I used them to listen to music while I was using an angle grinder and could barely even hear the thing, just mostly my music. It also has a great voice speaker, I've found myself making calls without any issue in clarity. • They have a sport fit so that they sit in your ear perfectly without falling out. These things fit so snug I was dizzying myself just trying to shake my head around enough to see if they'd even get a little loose. • The best thing about these buds for me is the IP68 rating for the buds and the IP54 rating for the case. These buds are really made to withstand the strain of your workout or outdoor use. They're gonna get dirty and or wet and that's what Jaybird expected so they make them to be pretty durable and resistant. I use them alot when I'm working and my work is primarily outdoors and with machinery so I sweat alot and deal with dust, dirt, oil, fluids, and generally messy conditions. These buds have so far held up amazingly. • The app also let's you track not just the case but the buds as well. This is a great feature because my last buds only tracked the case so if I dropped a bud and couldn't find it then that was it. Cons: • I found myself having alot of connectivity issues from day one. I couldn't get them to pair with my phone. I would constantly get error messages or prompts to connect through the app but the app would say to connect manually through my phone's Bluetooth settings. It was like this for about 3 days. I had tried all the troubleshooting options available that eventually I just had to contact customer support. I've never had an issue pairing a Bluetooth headset or buds to my phone, bit these were such a hassle and it was annoying. • For some reason they just will randomly disconnect during use. It doesn't happen very often but it's definitely happened enough for me to ask "what's going on here?". I will check the battery levels and settings on my phone to make sure it isn't something I'm doing or neglecting, but everything appears fine. They just randomly do this despite my phone being on my person in my pocket, well within Bluetooth range. It's definitely a stupid issue to have considing how much they cost. • Another issue for me is that ANC is great at blocking almost all outside sounds except for strong wind. I noticed this when riding in a Skytrack and ANC blocked out the sound of the loud engine perfectly but the wind didn't get blocked out as well. It's weird since it's designed with a fabric outer surface on the buds which is intended to be better at blocking wind but they don't seem to do it well. Anyone biking isn't gonna like this. Overall, I think the Jaybird Vista 2s are good. They have a solid sound quality and fit, with a few features that make them really cool. They're really durable and are a set of buds made to handle some rough conditions. However, connectivy issues is not something I'm just seeing and really keep them from being a perfect set of Bluetooth buds .

I wanted to love these, but I didn’t. The music sound was really good. The ANC was not intuitive and didn’t disengage/re-engage without using the app. Construction was solid for the buds and the case. The biggest issue was the audio when calls came in. VERY BAD. Crackling in my ear.

I have purchased or received as gifts at least 20 pairs of earbuds in the past 3 years. Wired, Bluetooth, and Truly Wireless models, a good mix of each. I like earbuds, and I’m always looking for my next go-to model. I have owned other Jaybird earbuds, but none have ever risen to being a favorite. Either I disliked the controls, or the ear fit and sound quality weren’t to my liking. These are important issues for me, and ultimately play a big role in how I rate them. Battery: These buds have 24 hours of battery time. This isn’t class-leading by any means, but it is perfectly fine for me. I rarely use buds for more than a couple of hours at a time, so it’s not a fail-test for me. The 24 hours consists of 8 hrs for the earbuds and 16 hours for the case. Quick-Charge: You can get 1 hour of play time with a 5-minute charge. A full charge can take up to 2 hours. Charging: You can charge using a wall charger and the included USB-C charging cable. It also supports QI Wireless Charging. I successfully charged the Jaybird using my Samsung S20 Ultra, by the way, so that does work. I have a Otterbox case on my phone, so the trick is to find the sweet spot on the back of the phone for the QI charging to begin. Ear tips: The earbuds come with medium ear-tips w/wings installed. A pair of larger ear-tips w/wings are included, as well as another set of medium ear-tips wo/wings. Charging Case: The case comes with an attached Lanyard, which is nice. You could loop the lanyard around a keyring for safe keeping, or hang the case and buds in your close, or perhaps slip your belt through the loop. Color me uneducated on this point. The top of the charging case is kept closed by powerful magnets. I had to give the top a good tug to get it opened. Once it was, both earbuds were solidly secure by strong magnets just like the case. There is a pairing/status button right between the two buds for easy access. By status, press the button one time and it’ll illuminate three LEDs showing the battery status of both earbuds and the case. Pairing: This is a simple task. Open the case (leaving the buds in place), then press down on the button and hold until the outside LED begins flashing. Then, using the device you want to pair to, open Bluetooth on the device to select Jaybird Vista 2. IP68 Rated: These buds are IP68 waterproof with military-grade construction, and an IP54 weatherproof rating for the charging case. ANC: Jaybird has 3 ANC modes. Mode 1 is ANC, which is their full ANC implementation. Mode 2 is what they call SurroundSense. Per their documentation, this mode amplifies ambient sound for safety. Mode 3 is Off, which turns off any implementation of ANC and SurroundSense. Thus, you will not readily hear any ambient sounds either. Phone calls: There are 4 mics with WindDefense fabric for high quality calls. Jaybird App: This is a comprehensive app that lets you control numerous aspects of your experience. Here are some notable features: • ANC: As noted above, the app lets you decide if you want ANC full-on, full-off, or if you want to have SurroundSense turned on so you can hear ambient noises. If you’re jogging, for example, for safety’s sake you might want to have the SurroundSense turned on so you can more easily hear what is going on around you – like car or foot traffic. The app has a slide bar adjustment to allow you to specify how much ambient noise you want to seep in. I found that I preferred this at a lesser volume because it sounded more natural to me. As I increased the ambient noise, outside noises seemed to have a shrill to them that I found uncomfortable. The app has checkboxes for ANC/SurroundSense that are turned on by default. These cannot be changed. A third checkboxes allows you to turn off ANC entirely. This shows as “OFF”. To change how ANC is working on your buds, Dbl-tap twice to toggle from ANC to SurroundSense, to OFF (if you have Off enabled). There are also options to customize how you want the buds to deal with wind filtering. • PRESETS (Equalizer): The app offers a good number of presets for your enjoying pleasure. Select one and you are set to go. Not enough highs or bass, then look for another present that addresses this. Or create your own preset and customize it exactly to fit your needs. There is a Discover option that has gobs of presets based on other people’s preferences. Or select presets based on Genres: R&B, Jazz, Rock, Pop, and more. • BUTTON CONTROL: The app allows you to customize how the earbuds will react when tapped or pressed (see below). Here is how they are set up out of the box: Left & Right Earbuds: - Single Press: 1) Play/Pause, 2) Next Song, 3) Previous Song (#1 on both left and right buds) - Double Press: 1) Play/Pause, 2) Next Song, 3) Previous Song, 4) Sound Mgmt Switch (#2 on the right bud and #3 on the left bud. - Double Tap: 1) Play/Pause, 2) Next Song, 3) Previous Song, 4) Sound Mgmt Switch, 5) Disabled. (#4 on both left and right buds) - Press and Hold: 1) Google Assistant, 2) Volume Control, 3) Power Off/On, 4) Disabled (#2 volume down on left bud and #2 volume up on the right bud) Let me explain my tapped vs pressed comment. “Pressing” an earbud means that you are physically pressing the outside of an earbud until you hear a click. A single-press means that you will only press one time. A double-press means you will press the outside of an earbud twice, thus hearing two clicks. When you “Tap” an earbud, you superficially touch the outside of a bud without pressing it. Both buds are configured so that dbl-tapping either bud will activate the Sound Mgmt Switch, and as such will toggle you through ANC, SurroundSense, and Off modes. My Conclusions: So, how do I like these buds? I marginally like them. The buds are solid feeling. And the Jaybird app has a ton of built-in features. However, after using the Active 2 for a while, I don’t think they’ll ever rise to being one of my go-to favorites. Here are some of my biggest gripes: 1. Ear-tips: I don’t care which ear-tips I used, they all hurt my ears. The only way to stop that from happening was to pull the buds slightly out from my ear canals which, obviously, defeats the whole purpose of ANC. At best, I never found a happy medium. 2. Their implementation of ANC is marginal at best. Full-on ANC (with the buds properly seated) still lets noise in. I tested this extensively both outside on a walk/run and on my treadmill. I found it quite distracting. When dbl-tapping through the ANC modes, I regularly had to go to the Jaybird App to see what mode it was in. I shouldn’t have to do that; it should be intuitively obvious. 3. Pressing versus Tapping. Tapping is not an issue at all. However, with the earbuds already feeling tight inside my ears, Pressing the buds just jams them deeper into the ear canal. So, if I’m increasing or decreasing volume – which requires you to Press and Hold – I had to follow each volume change by pulling the buds away from the affected ear and reseating it. On the plus side, I like the following: 1. The case and earbuds are solidly secured by magnets. If you dropped the case, I doubt you would ever find the buds falling out. 2. Pairing was easily accomplished 3. The app offers many preconfigured equalizer presets, which means that you won’t have to create your own preset if you don’t want to. 4. The music quality was okay, although not exceptional. 5. The buds stayed in my ears even when jogging In the end, sound quality, ANC, and fit all played a big role in my final rating. The uncomfortable fit could not be overcome. Ear pressure was such that I didn’t want them in my ears after just 30 minutes. The equalizer is a nice feature, although even with it – not all earbuds let you tweak the sound – music lacked the quality I prefer. And lastly, I thought the ANC was subpar on many levels. If you are a Jaybird fan, these might be exactly what you’re looking for. But for a bit more money, you could get some industry-leading, high-quality earbuds. As such, I wanted to give them a 3.5-star rating, but will make it a 4-star rating because of all the features they built it.

We have a lot of headphones in our house, including over-the-ear sets from Sony and Bose and earbuds from Bose, Jabra, Sony, AUSounds, LG, JVC, and JLAB. For highly portable music or hanging around the house, these are now my go-to set. Ruggedly built and with IP68 certification, these buds are waterproof up to 1.5 meters as well as dust and dirt proof. They are also MIL-STD 810G compliant for shock, freeze, or drop resistance. Even the magnetic close case is IPX5 resistant to low-pressure water spray. You have to try pretty hard to damage these earbuds. The earbuds are reasonably if not fashionably slim, and they avoid the icicle shape that looks like something dripping from your ear. With eight hours of charge in the buds and another 16 hours from the case, they’ll run for a long time without issue. A fast charge of five minutes gives an hour of listening time in a pinch. And about that case – it’s easily the smallest bud case I own and well designed to fit into a pocket or attach to a bag with the incorporated lanyard. With three included silicone cases, fit should be easy. I have somewhat small ear canals, but the medium size fit perfectly. The attached fins on the medium and large earpieces help them stay in place even while exercising. I found them quite comfortable for extended wear, and they never budged no matter how much I moved. Incidental to this, earbuds with automatic pause are frequently too sensitive, pausing the music if you reach down for something or move your head suddenly. These are just about perfect, sensing that you have removed the buds very accurately. For me, the most important part of any headset is the sound, and the Jaybirds are remarkable. Clear and balanced, with great dynamic range, the sound is up there with my Bose and Jabra true wireless sets. There are no dead spots or dropouts. Highs are crisp, mids are balanced, and the bass is appropriately solid without any artificial thump. The Jaybirds provide beautiful audio from Joe Williams to Glenn Gould to King Crimson. The app is very well-designed and useful, allowing you to customize the equalization not just vertically (volume) but horizontally (frequency and range controlled). There is also a Jaybird community for the Vistas which allows you to download presets that others, from everyday listeners by genre to professionals, have created. This saved me a lot of time finding a starting point for the adjustments that worked for my ears and environment. If you want digital help, an assistant in the app will analyze your hearing and make recommendations. The ANC works, as in there is a distinct difference between when it is on versus off, and it even has that slightly disconnected feeling you get from better ANC sets. It is a couple of notches below the Sony and Bose noise cancellations, and for this reason I’ll stick with a larger headset when I fly. Calls are clear, with a couple of quirks. The Bluetooth range for the microphone is surprisingly finicky. Callers could hear me clearly so long as the phone was in my front pocket or hand, but in my hip pocket my voice became garbled. Call audio was clear for me, except it sometimes did a phase-shift sound and switched between buds, and once went from stereo to left bud only and would not switch back. If you decide to ditch the buds and speak into the phone directly be prepared to either put them back in the case or leave them on the ground, as they are very aggressive about taking over control of your audio. While these work for me in a pinch, I’ll stick with my Jabra or Bose sets if I’m only planning on making calls. There are a number of outstanding true wireless earbuds in this price range, and the ones you end up with will be to some extent a matter of how you use them. If you value the ability to be very active, are looking for outstanding sound, and need a comfortable fit, then these should be at the top of your list.

First thing's first, if you want top quality ANC, go with Seinnheiser or Sony. The ANC on these is ok. But everything else? Man, I loved my Vistas but the Vista 2 are just a huge step up from everything they already have. If you are thinking about getting these bur are not sure, this is a sign to do so. Your ears will thank you.

Was hoping this would be a step up from the original vistas. I am a HUGE advocate for the edition. Figured with ANC and pass through that this would be worth the upgrade. Pass through works as intended it the ANC is no different then running it in normal mode. Also it is extremely difficult to switch between my watch, iPad, and iPhone. It says it’s connected and plying but nothing happens. Also out of nowhere it stoped charging. My left ear would stay at 10%, right ear 100%, case 50%. When I would place the buds in my ear I would hear the assistant say “10 percent “. Extremely frustrating. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I have trouble with earbuds falling out, and I specifically bought these because I have always heard they have a great fit. I can confirm they have a fantastic fit and stay in my ears 99% of the time without the need for adjustment. The sound is fine, they use the SBC codec which isn't know for high end audio, but sounds fine. The ANC is absolutely terrible, I mean the worst I have ever experienced. DO NOT BUY THESE IF ANC IS A FEATURE YOU WANT. Having ANC off blocks more sound than ANC on. I feel they only included it because they had to justify $200. I would have rather them left it out, call quality is also reportedly terrible from what people tell me and the wind reduction does nothing according to them.

I like how tough they are supposed to be and do have good sound quality but man these buds NEVER EVER work right. Wheather for whatever reason the battery isnt fully charged or drains crazy fast, to one or both randomly turning off or disconnecting for a period of time, to controls dont always work, the list goes on an on its an every time i use i know something isnt going to work right. Oh and all this started after the return window closed, so now Im stuck with a decent sounding pair of earbuds that almost never work correctly!! I cant tell you how good or bad battery life is cuz i magically never have a full battery, even if i charged them all day somehow when i use them one or boths battery drops extremly fast and if it says i do have full battery one could randomly die within an hr or two who knows! ANC is just ok so dont expect much there. Also going between ANC/NORMAL/AMBIENT MODE, they all make the sound chnage and sound differeny from each other. Lastly ive never used this outside, ive never worked out in them because they are so unreliable.

I wanted to love these as the original Vista's are great but they feel rushed. The ANC is bad compared to jabra, as well as the surround sound basically useless. But because these have great passive noise cancelation, I could overlook those issues. However they also promise better microphones and wind blocking and they fail to deliver on that promise. I would recommend skipping these and going with the original vista, basically the same thing. I hope jaybird can work on better software and design for the next itteration.
