These are my second pair by this brand; I purchased these on sale and I'm pleased, sound quality and battery life is pretty good however I wish the charger was not unique to the product. Clothes clip is nice to have to avoid accidental loss, works well with multiple devices; customer care team member was nice and accommodating.

I was a little underwhelmed when I first used these, the sound was just a bit too flat for my liking. But after I began to play with the app and equalizer, I am very pleased with the sound quality. The fit is nice, the cord management is helpful. I haven't tested the water resistance, but it feels good knowing that these have an improved IPX rating.

    Best Sports In Earbuds

If your primary interests are the sound and your earbuds being sweat/water proof then these are the best hands down. The only ones to compete with these are the Jaybird Tarah Pros. The main difference being that these are in ear and the Tarah Pros are not. If the X4s had a braided cord and magnets to connect the buds when not wearing them I’d say they would be above the Tarah Pros. The sound is incredible once you tweak them with the app. The short cord could be a minus if you prefer a longer cord like the Beats X. The clip helps keep these from falling and losing them. I suggest using some comply foam tips for the best results for passive noise cancellation.

I bought these for working out because fo thier water/sweatproofing. They also have a long battery life. They connect easily and the only problem connecting is with my Garmin watch. I am not sure if that is a watch or Jaybird issue. They fit well and cut out outside noise be careful running with these you may not hear cars approaching.

These are great headphone, bass is very good. Battery life is also very good. Only cons for me is that its not type-c; its proprietary charger type. Also if the wires weaken or get excessive use, you will need to replace them. I recommend pairing bestbuy insurance plan with it

I got these to replace my X3's which I used almost daily for about a year and a half. There are a ton of great improvements to these. The bootup sound is not some loud ear busting bass sound, but instead a soft sound, which I really like. The inner ear parts are a lot more comfortable and stay on better, haven't had it fall off yet. The ear-shaped pieces are also a lot more comfortable, They flex more to conform to the shape of your ear. The tips also have a more rounded shape so they don't get annoying and uncomfortable. Only thing I don't really like is that the charging cord is really short.

The good: Excellent sound quality that is customizable through the Jaybird app with a pretty extensive curve-based EQ. Volume can get pretty loud with an adjusted EQ, which is nice. Ear tips and wings provide enough options to perfect the earbuds’ fit in your ears no matter their shape. ---- The bad: Build quality. These headphones claim to be waterproof/sweatproof, but the contacts used to charge the headphones get gunked up fairly easily. This is the third pair of Jaybird headphones and the second pair of X4s that I’ve owned. I had a pair of X3s that lasted for about two years before they stopped charging, but I only had my first pair of X4s for about four or five months before running into a similar problem. The metal contacts on the back will inevitably get clogged up with sweat (especially if you sweat a lot like I do while running in the Georgia summer heat/humidity). Once this happens, you’ve got to meticulously place the headphones on the proprietary charger in just the right way to ensure that they begin charging, which can be a headache because I probably have spent more time after getting home from a run making sure that my headphones were actually charging than the time it takes to charge them. (I’m kidding, but it feels that way sometimes.) On top of that, I purchased the Geek Squad protection plan for $20, but upon using it on my first busted pair, I was made aware by a store associate that I would need to purchase another protection plan to continue coverage. I have since bought a different brand/style of headphones and I don’t intend on returning to Jaybird just to save myself from the headache of having to possibly return yet another pair of X4s in the next month or two. -- Overall: If you use these for light exercise or non-cardio activities, they could very well be great for you. The sound quality is very good and they can hold a pretty long charge. Unfortunately, if you are prone to sweating a lot or live in a climate that induces excessive sweating, these are not the headphones for you. Exercise caution when purchasing.

I was looking for bluetooth but not totally wireless, to use while exercising outdoors. These sound great, handle the bass but not overpowering. So far, the battery life is better than expected. I have not yet found the perfect fit combination, however, and they have fallen out of one ear a few times.

I've been shopping for a set of wireless earbuds for a while, and looked many reviews. When these went on sale, combined with the good reviews, I thought I'd try them out. The sound is awesome, especially paired with the app where you can load different sound EQ firmware settings that follow the headphones wherever you pair them. Battery life has been as expected. I wish it used a more universal charger, such as Type C, but the proprietary charger works well. They fit comfortably in my ears after finding the right ear buds and wing holder things. Comes with a convenient travel pouch as well.

Before X4 , I tried X3. Right Out of the box , it was okish. Sound quality was bit harsh for me and not to mention uncomfortable in ears due to the fact that I currently Own Bose Soundsport headphones . But when I tried X4 , right out of the box , sound quality was darn good. And much much comfortable. Being Bluetooth 5.0 in built , they have lot of advantages especially in battery life and range. Plus not to mention the connection will be superior and less music bitrate compression. I would highly recommend the product. For $129 its worth it when you compare others in $100-$200 range.

The 4 by far is the most comfortable headset I have used. The sound is great and the 4 is very user friendly when making calls, listening to music, audiobooks, etc. What I do not like is I cannot charge without their proprietary charger, extremely annoying.

The Jaybird sounds great but depending on your ear you got to play around with the different ear pieces it comes with to find a good fit. Once you do find a good fit they hold pretty good and the battery lasts a long time.

I have a pair of Jaybird X2's and was very happy with them but decided to upgrade to the X4s. Absolutely love the sound quality and the app with the equalizer is amazing! BUT!!!! They kept cutting out... I counted them cutting out over 60 (yes 60) times in just one song. It was terrible. I searched help in the app and found I needed to reset them, which I did. It helped with the cutting out some. Still 10x plus per song. So I exchanged them where I purchased them for another pair. This pair is much better... they still cut out occasionally, but only occasionally. So I'll keep them. The fit & sound is Great!!

These were an upgrade from the Jaybird Freedoms. I ran them through the washer and dryer 3 times and they still worked! But they finally broke after about 18 months of heavy use. I upgraded to the x4 and so far they are the same quality. Definitely more customizable fit and way longer battery life. I highly recommend these if your an avid runner or fitness enthusiast. Can’t beat the quality and durability!

I needed an additional set of headphones. I was so impressed with my X3 performance and durability (forgot them in workout shorts, they made it though the wash and work perfectly!) that my only choice was the X4. The sound is excellent. They can handle all the sweat you can throw at them, and they stay secure through a wide range of workouts

Nice they offer multiple fitting options But the foam ear tips Didn’t work for me. I like the way how the rubber ear tips are designed, they are inspired by the EarPods and Bose soundsport wireless ear fits. the way I like to wear them the most is over the ear and no ear fins. With having Bluetooth 4.1 the connection is not as stable as Bluetooth 5 which means the connection cuts off outdoors sometimes. The battery life is very accurate 8 hours and with the fast charge for 1 hour. And getting them for $100 is nice $30 savings. Sound Quality is amazing and customizable with the app.

Like the X3s I had before (lost, not broken), the X4s have amazing sound and do a great job of blocking ambient noise. I wear them in the gym and on airplanes, and I find them better than bulky Bose (also have) headphones at making things quiet. Sound quality from music and phone calls is great. Nice base. Good highs and meds. My only complaint: the mic pics up everything. If you are in a noisy Starbucks (which one isn’t?), the people on the other end of your call will hear the conversation from three tables over. Unfortunately for most work calls I have to switch back to crappy Apple plugins.

I wanted wireless headphones that I could use while running. These fit my ears perfectly and comfortably due to the different attachments to fit your ear size. The sound is fine, but don't except much noise cancellation, especially not in comparison to something like iPad pros. Charging is a bit difficult, especially if you don't have a good look of where to attach it, but otherwise not too bad. I would recommend getting these on sale, however, as cheaper and better products do exist at this point.
