For being my first pair of Jaybird headphones the experience has been good. Out of the box you get plenty of ear tips and wings to find a comfortable size. The app is very well designed and provides extra functionality for the headphones like adjusting equalizer setings or setting them up. Equalizer settings works well with my Android device and with most music players. One of my favorite features is how Jaybird allows you to upload your equalizer profile to share just like you would with your Spotify playlist. I found several ones that I like already and being able to preview them without having to save them is nice. Sound quality has been good with difference genres of music from rock to hip hop music. The headphones seem to be built well and being sweat and water resistant should help with the durability term. My only gripe would be how you charged them. I can see why they designed it this way due to the water/sweat resistant design but if you forget to bring the charging cable you will have no way to charge them. Jaybird does offer a charge crade that uses a micro usb connection but for now it's sold out at this time. Overall I could not find any cons besides the short proprietary charging cable. Battery life is decent and the sound coming out from the headphones is good. With the additional ear tips and wings provided they don't fall off easily and are comfortable to use for an extended period of time. The Jaybird x4 should be on top of your list of Bluetooth headphones that you are considering purchasing. For future purchases I will definitely be considering Jaybird.

First set of Bluetooth headphones I’ve owned. The sound is good, the battery live is nice (~8 hours), and the app is nice if you want to tweak the sound a bit based off what you are listening to. Only complaint is that at least in my iPhone the sound doesn’t get as loud as my previous corded ones do. Still sufficient for most folks I assume.

Was pleasantly surprised by the rich, full-bodied sound and the power—not to be confused with volume—that pumps through these buds. Spotify Premium member here who loves trance, dance, and electronic music. Where other buds may fall short, the X4 makes up for it by offering an immersive sonic experience complete with premium bass performance.

I have purchased many in ear headphones over the years including urBeats3 and BeatsX and I always keep coming back to Jaybirds because they have the best sounding audio and last much longer. It's also beneficial to download the Jaybird app so you can modify the audio such as boosting bass.

These are my new best friend when working out in the gym. Personally, they are better than AirPods when working out. They are sweat and water proof. They also create a comfortable seal around your ear canal for better music listening, blocks outside noise and prevents music leaking. Battery lasts 14 hours which is amazing.

Used Jaybird headphones before, tried other brands but came back. Great bluetooth headphones. Must get the free app to hear the full range of these headphones. The comply eartips are best I have used for running, they stay in place and let you enjoy your music and the run without constantly having to adjust them.

I got these in Jan '21. I have gotten 2 pairs of the Jaybird x3 previously which I loved. At the time I needed long battery life for work, which is why I bought 2. The sound quality was amazing on the x3. And both lasted quite a while. One has given out, and one is still working but only holds a charge for about 3-4 hours give or take. Sound is still amazing. So, then, I bought the x4 to replace the one x3 whose mic died. As you can see, it's not even been a year. They're sound is still fine, but as with both x3 and now the x4, the protective silicone around the wire is detaching from the command piece. Since I tried to super glue it back like I did with the old ones (which then held fine), I thought I was good to go. Unfortunately, the silicone is still too oily. It didn't take. I'm about to order the Vista True, since there jury is still out on the Vista 2 on the overall reviews. I think Jaybird really needs to find a way to marry the longevity of the X3s, and sound of x3s, to the comfort of the x4s, and work out the glitches on the Vista 2s while giving more battery life. Will see what the next gen holds. In the meantime, years later, the x3 is still my backup pair.

I've had the X4 headphones for a few months and I can honestly say that I enjoy listening to them while I work out - mainly walking. I also have Sennheiser Momentum Wireless Earbuds and Sennheiser PCX550 over the ear headphones. The Jaybird X4 does NOT sound as good as either of the Sennheisers. Having said that, using the Jaybird app and the EQ in the app, the sound quality is quite good. Without the EQ, though, they don't sound good at all. I also use the supplied Comply ear tips for a better seal and sound. They hold up to sweat (Texas heat) and weather very well and that was the main appeal of them. The battery life is also very very good. I only have 3 complaints. First, is that the cord can get "sticky" behind my neck as I turn my head. I knew that was probably going to happen, though, based on the design. Second, the charger is non-standard. It doesn't actually come with a wall charger, just a weird little charging cord that can plug into a wall charger. Lining up the charging dock with the headphones can be a little frustrating. Lastly, the Bluetooth is a little choppy. I have to have my phone in my right pocket in order to hear my music. The headphones will also cut out very occasionally. Overall, though, I'm pretty happy with the performance and sound quality and I would recommend them despite some flaws.

I usually have issues with buds falling out during workouts, but these stay in place with the Comply tips and typically keep sweat out of my ear canal. The sound is also customizable with their mobile app. I'd burned through several pairs of powerbeats (which are not as loud IMO) before switching over.

Good bass, volume range and battery life. Does wear over time and you will need to replace if there is excessive use. I suggest pairing with BestBuy's insurance plan so its easy swap if they fail or break. Wish the charger type was type-c

I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for headphones to wear while working out. They stay in well, sound great, and you can customize the EQ on their app. I have no issues with the range. I can leave my phone playing music in my locker and hear it all throughout the gym.

I had the X3 before these and loved them while they lasted -- just over 2 years, then just quit working. It may have been because I charged them through my car (oh, you didn't know that could kill them? Perhaps you wouldn't until you go through the Jaybird support community and find the replies from Logitech listing the many ways you can damage your buds in charging.) I liked the X3 a lot, though, so I took a chance and bought the X4 (at a great price during Christmas). Made sure I only charged them through my computer's USB. Eight months later, they're dead. Kaput. Battery shows as charged but nothing happens with the buttons. Nada. Can't even do factory reset or any troubleshooting. I really want to like them. They sound great and fit great. The app is really nice as well. But all the hype about being so rugged, waterproof, athlete-inspired, blah-blah? Yeah, maybe on the outside, but the insides appear to be delicate and flawed. (Just check the Jaybird X4 support communities for this problem -- I ain't alone.)
