I don't have a very detailed write-up, but after first trying the Hw-M550 from Samsung and being underwhelmed, then trying the vizio SB4051 and being let down, I landed at the JBL Bar 2.1. My gf and I spent around 2 hours in the store testing the available options and felt that this hit a sweet spot for price and sound. It does a remarkable job with imaging though the mids get lost a tiny bit. The bass, though, is super. The only cons I'd say is that the bar lacks a standalone SW setting (can only adjust bass level). JBL has really surprised me with this! I'm actually returning this 2.1 and getting the 3.1 for even more sound after being very satisfied with JBL's end product.

The sound is so good for the price. The wireless Base is super good and will make your home rattle. It paired right up with my TV and the Base all it had to be was have the power plugged in. I used the optical cord connection to connect the sound system to the TV and the quality just lit up with quality sound.

This sound bar is nothing short of fantastic. The big feature is pairing with the cable remote so you don't need another remote just for volume. Speaking of volume, this thing cranks. Super crisp notes at all levels. The subwoofer really fills the room with sound, while being a compact unit. Setup was a breeze also.

Sound was OK, but not enough bass. Of course I knew this before I purchased, but I was not willing to pay for a speaker with more base. More than two times more, So for what I paid for the sound bar it is good. However I could not get the optical cable to connect, I tried three different cables.

This soundbar really surprised me it sounds great and bass is perfect. Love the remote, it connected to my tv and dish remote on it's own which I thought was awesome. Setup was a snap, optical cable and power, boom done. I would definitely buy this again

wow the sound from this bar and sub is really good, i initially bought the bose sounbar and returned ot for this one. One of the best decisions I've ever made, not only was this one a better price point but way louder and better sound.

Bought this to enhance the sound in a large living room. It does not disappoint! Easy to set up and configure. The wireless sub-woofer produces amazing sound -- thought bass was noise coming from outside until I muted the sound. Great quality for the price.

I spent quite a while searching for a sound bar that would suit my needs. One of the features I really wanted was HDMI ARC so activating and turning off the sound bar worked with the television off and on. Unfortunately, in my price range few sound bars include that feature. This system has this feature. In our medium size living room, volume, voice clarity and bass umph from the wireless subwoofer are all just what I hoped for. Some reviews complain about the strength of the bass. Personally, I find the subwoofer provides perfectly balanced sound without overwhelming the other sounds. I would recommend the JBL 2.1 Sound Bar and would definitely buy it again.

My sister gave me her 55" tv and this goes great with it in my small living room .. bass enough to rattle the windows but not set off the neighbor's alarm system. Good sound clarity .. very pleased. JBL delivers .. AGAIN.

I brought this for my husband as a graduation gift and he loves it! I researched and played with a lot of sound bars before I made a decision and I picked this one and don’t regret it one bit. The sound is great! We love that it’s Bluetooth as well.

The sound from this sound bar is very good. The best buy salesman said it would not regulate the sound from show to commercial and it does not. It gets much louder when commercials come on. But for the price it is very good.

I purchased this product for my vacation home and loved it so much I brought another for my house. Packs great sound and easy to use. Excellent price.

I’ve owned a few different home speaker systems and this by fair blows them all away, for a sound bar it puts out great sound, add the subwoofer and the bass is spot on, movies are amazing with this system, highly recommend

Setup was easy using the optical plug. Had to do the wireless bass a couple of times to get it hooked up right. Now it's putting out good Sounds and much improved experience. Not bad for the price.

Bought this product for myself and another as a Christmas gift. The sound quality is excellent. Easy to set up to both TVs. Excellent quality product. Very happy with the purchases.

Sound bar is very sleek and has great sound quality. This system rocks my bedroom with solid bass, highs & mids. Easy installation, bluetooth pairing to mobile devices and A/V connections.

I tested 4 low end Soundbars prior to purchasing the JBL. The JBL has by far the best sound, design, and construction. I really wish they would sale add-on wireless speakers for this model.

I looked at six different soundbars before selecting this one, and I'm really pleased with the purchase. Most importantly, the audio quality is excellent - even the simulated surround sound is valuable. Lots of connectivity options (ARC, optical, and Bluetooth), and the remote control is easy to use. Setup was a breeze - just disable the internal speakers on the TV. That's about it; I really couldn't be happier.
