Customer Ratings & Reviews

The JBL Bar 1000MK2 delivers an amazing surround sound experience. Movies feel immersive with clear dialogue and deep, punchy bass, and music sounds rich and well balanced. Setup was quick and easy, and the wireless speakers work flawlessly. The detachable surrounds are a great feature and really make a difference. Excellent sound quality and performance — definitely a 10/10. Highly recommended.

Best surround sound system I've ever had. Pricey but the sound quality and effects are top notch. I don't even have it up halfway and its loud. Clarity is really nice bass is insane and the surround sound is really great.

Very loud sound bar, perfect for movies. The detachable wireless speakers is also very nice for surround sound, Definitely recommend. The bass is incredible and sound is very clear.

The soundbar is worth the money. Just spend the money. You won’t regret it. It was so easy to pair with the tv and you can use with other devices wirelessly.

Pros: - Minimalist design - Loudness / Sound quality - Simplicity of setup - Lower price point vs competitors Cons: - Limited audio adjustment features - Periodic charging required

Good sound, good price, setup ease, easy to connect, very discreet

Amazing product. I have always wanted a great surround sound system. So happy with this purchase.

I love my surround system is loud. It’s worth the money that I spent.

Quality sound , save space and when you remove the side speaker is diferent experience…

This home theater system has surpassed my expectations! The sound quality is pristine and it feels like I am in a movie theater! I highly recommend this JBL sound system if you are in the market. It is well worth the price and has special features including speakers that detach and you can set them anywhere in a room.

I am not a soundbar person at all. I have a full receiver/speakers/Atmos system set up in my TV room and love having all the separate speakers for both movie and music enjoyment. Like most men, I was not allowed to put any "large or black boxy speaker things" in the living room when we moved and got a new TV. So.... I had to audition sound bars for our living area TV. Let's be clear, no sound bar is going to come close to sounding as rich and full as a full receiver/speaker system, it's just not possible, but I had to find one that was at least decent without breaking the bank. I finalized my top three, the Samsung Q990, the Sonos Arc, and the JBL Bar1000MK2. I brought the samsung and the JBL home and auditioned them for 4 days with movies, music, and regular shows. I felt the JBL was a bit better than the Samsung overall, and better price. And the spousal unit liked the sleeker look of the JBL. We already had the Sonos in the main bedroom as my wife liked the ease of use of the Sonos App to turn on sleep time music/forest sounds, etc. The Sonos did not have any back speakers so it was not quite a direct comparison. The Sonos ARC sounded really good, but the JBL was very close, and it was much less expensive. Also, I really enjoy being able to easily disconnect the two speakers and place them behind us wirelessly when we want to watch a movie (also, we have no electrical outlets behind us to plug a set of speakers in). They last for days and it's much better than leaving speakers plugged in behind you and be limited to where the plugs are located. Overall, the JBL 1000 cannot be beat for the price and sound.

If you like the high quality sound of a movie theater this is the system for you. The incredible bass from the subwoofer is unmatched, it is top of the line. This is also true Bluetooth, no wires to connect to the satellite speakers.

I rated this 4 stars because my first one had connection issues. The left rear speaker would constantly disconnect. Sometimes it'd stay connected 10 minutes, sometimes 1 second. I returned ir to Best Buy and the 2nd one works much better, however, getting the right rear speaker to charge sometimes requires me to finagle it around. Outside of those issues, the sound is pretty good for a sound bar. The bass is the best of all the soundbars I've heard. JBL doesn't skimp on adding a powerful subwoofer. The dialogue can sometimes be a little hard to understand during action scenes, but that happens in a sound bar. Obviously you're not going to get what you'd get from building a big full-on home theater system at thousands of dollars. Set-up is pretty simple

We previously owned an Alien 4500W speaker karaoke machine. We used the system to amplify our TV because I'm hard of hearing. When the speakers went out 2.5 years later we chose the JBL soundbar to replace the previous system. We have found that this is a better quality system than the Alien because we don't have to turn up the TV as loud as we did with the Alien. We can put the soundbar on 20-21 and I can hear it with or without my hearing aids in my ears. The surround sound is of better quality than the Alien.

I listen to many sound bars. Even bought a Bose and took it back.when I heard this one in the store I said, that's the one. I did buy an open box because it was a good deal. I dont seem to get much volume out of the satellite speakers even when I turn them up. Hopefully I just have to play with it. I just hope they are not defective.

Great bang for the buck system. Easy to set up, great sound for a medium sized room. This is not a system that will thrill a hard core audiophile, but that is not what this is about. I like that the detachable speaker can be charged be reconnecting to the sound bar or via USB C, I do the latter so I never have to worry about running out of battery.

A good quality of sound and style. Only downfall is the surround sound. Speakers do not keep a good charge

I’m really happy with this soundbar. The sound quality is honestly amazing it makes movies and regular TV feel way more immersive. The bass hits strong but doesn’t overpower the voices, so dialogue still sounds clear. My favorite part is the detachable side speakers. I love that you can move them around the room and still hear everything clearly, even if you’re far from the TV. It really makes a difference compared to regular soundbars where all the sound just comes from the front. The surround effect with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X makes it feel like you’re in the middle of the action. Whether it’s a movie night or just watching regular shows, the sound fills the room really well. Overall, it was a great upgrade and definitely worth it if you want better sound without setting up a full home theater system.

When we went to best buy we originally went with a Samsung set we tried it but it was not giving us what we were looking for, we went in again and brought home another home theater system it was good but the sound would go in and out in certain cases so we came back. Until we saw the JBL sound bar and we already have JBL mini speakers so we said JBL couldn't let us down. They say the third time is the charm, and we have been very satisfied with this choice of sound bar system, the speakers are wireless and can be easily moved where ever we want.

This was a great purchase. I got it during a sale and i was able to save money on it. It was easy to instal and connect through bluetooth to the tv. The detachable speakers last me up to three days without having to connect them back to the sound bar for recharge. The sound is great. And through the app i am able to change the sound system to adapt to my needs. Like during the night to movie theater sound like system to broadcasting. It has many different features which i love!
