The price and sound make this much better than the other 12 or 13 speakers I tried. The Bluetooth connects fast and easy every time and the range is very good. So far the battery life has been better than expected. The volume is good and my wife thinks I play it to loud, but if I had to change anything it could be just a bit louder for me.

I needed a speaker for work which happens to be a noisy environment, so I needed something loud and portable to move with me around the building. It's loud enough for me at 50% volume, it's crystal clear, has good bass, and the Bluetooth reciever has good range. I give it a 4 because the battery life per charge isn't that great, about 4hrs Worth. I still think these speakers are priced higher than they should be, I mean there are entry level soundbars out there at this range of these small speakers.

This speaker is amazing! It has 2 little subs, one on each side so if you like dance music it actually sounds how it should. The speaker gets nice and loud. Very easy to set up on Bluetooth. The battery life is also really good. We can be in the garage all day using this speaker with no issues

I must say that the sound is sick! this little thing reaches levels of volume that can be easily compared to big speakers with bass. Most of the time I don't even reach the half of the volume because it's so loud. The quality of the sound is amazing, after all, it's JBL. There is not a single person that has heard them and wasn't super surprised and impressed with its quality. For the Bluetooth reception, very strong and high quality as well. I am constantly moving in the house and taking the phone with me and it just keeps on playing (I have a big house with thick walls). The design is beautiful and impressive as well. I can't say a lot about the battery, I know it could get up to 12 hours of music, but I didn't test it yet. Although, I am sure it won't fail. Worth every penny.

This speaker is outstanding, big sound, deep bass and the water resistance on the + model is a bonus. Battery lasts forever, no issues pairing at all. Would highly recommend

For this size/price point the sound profile for the Charge 2+ I feel can't be beat. In the the same room on the same night three people happened to bring there Bluetooth speakers to work. First up was the UE Boom2 $200 Msft-$150 on sale. very clear, good volume, and due to orientation of the driver in the housing, good 360 deg sound dispersion, but lacked in the bottom end. Smooth roll off but with any kind of electronically generated bass, it just wast there. Made songs sound like drummer stayed home. (Freq response on UE website 90hz-20khz) Pro's Water Proof, comes with a lanyard, fits in most cup holders. CAN MAKE A STEREO PAIR w/ companion app. Cons: Stand up only, rolls of set on its side, no bottom end esp at low volumes. Next up was Bose Sound Link Color:$129 msrp, Pro's: Very clean sound especially with acoustic music, Con's: again no bottom end with anything Rock or electronic. Some drum beats sounded like when you flick a finger on the bottom of a paper cup. And by design sound primarily in one direction. Bose site doesn't even list freq. range?? Or if it has any water resistance or proofing. Third up was the JBL Charge 2 $150msrp-$120 on sale): Within seconds of pressing play you could see the looks of approval from all in the room. What was so different? The bottom end! (75hz-20khz on JBL site) you would not think 15hz would make that kind of difference (especially if bass isn't your thing) but WOW! Pro's: The songs just sounded FULL, and at low volumes you could still here the drummer and deeper tones, they didn't disappear like the UE and the BOSE. Water Resistant, has a USB out to CHARGE OTHER DEVICES! Can simultaneously pair to 3 devices (2 for the UE and 1 for the BOSE) so in a group setting the last person to push "play" will be heard with out having to re-pair anything. Now I won't comment on battery life as type and overall volume listened to will will affect that. But listed times are 15hrs for the UE, 12hrs for the Charge2+, and 8hrs for the BOSE. I have since purchased a Charge 2+ and every place I take it, it gets the same reactions from people.."wow, that sounds really good", " man that plays deep" Cons: could be more stable when resting on the long edge, and would be nice if could be used in a stereo pair like the UE. They will all do speaker phone but I have yet to personally try that feature. The USB out charge port works really well too, will charger my iPhone 5s as fast as the factory charger will, and still have juice left over to play for a few hours. So overall for its size and price point I feel the JBL Charge 2+ is really hard to beat, fullest sound range, water resistant, EASY to use "social mode" , and the BONUS Charge output! Highly recommended and would happily buy again.

I have owned the original JBL Flip for approximately two years. I have enjoyed countless hours on vacation enjoying the music that makes my soul happy with that little guy. I auditioned all of the other big names in portable audio at that time (Jawbowne, Beats, Bose) before selecting the Flip for having the best overall sound quality (even against units that were three times more expensive). I have raved about the Flip to my friends and family. This has led them to purchase portable speakers of their own. Two of my brother in-laws purchased the Charge 2+. I was immediately jealous of the additional overall volume and bass the Charge 2+ had over the original Flip...so now I own both. Highest reccomendation. The Harman Brands (JBL / Harman Kardon / Synthesis / Revel / JBL Pro) are consistantly among the best electronics and speakers I have had the pleasure of owning and enjoying.

Great sound from this portable speaker that is now water resistant. JBL makes a great speaker with good battery life, good sound, and the ability to charge my phone is I'm out and about if needed. Great for the pool, patio, or even beach.

I owned a JBL Flip portable speaker but gave it away as a gift because of the awesome sound that it had. I went to Best Buy to purchase another portable speaker and ran into this little gem. Best Buy lets you test the speakers there on the floor and the JBL Charge 2+ had the best sound for the price. I've tried different branded speakers before and they just don't have good bass. This speaker has great range and is water resistant!! I use it outdoors when we are swimming in the pool and we don't have to worry about it getting wet. Downside is that at high volumes, the sound fades when the bass drum hits within the song, probably signs of it draining too much power when playing bass notes at high volume. Overall a great speaker. Charges quickly with an indicator of charge strength. Bluetooth or 3.5cm cable.

This speaker has not disappointed me in the slightest, so far. It is slightly smaller than an Arizona Iced Tea can but puts out a very nice full sound that does not lack in the bass or mid tones. The sound is very well balanced and sounds good at all volumes. I pretty much use it all the time working at home, on trips, in the shower, and rarely have to charge. Have used the charge function for my phone as well, which is handy. The sound keeps it integrity at high volumes, although this speaker gets very loud. I pretty much never turn it up all the way for this reason, and this speaker would do well in noisier party situations.

I'm definitely a fan of this bluetooth speaker. There were other options in the store, but it seemed limited, so I was disappointed. I tried the demo in most of the bluetooth speakers and I liked what the JBL Charge 2 had to offer. I love that it's splash/water proof. I don't think you can submerge it in a swimming pool like most electronics, but if you get some water on it, then I don't think there should be any issues. I've yet to try it, but I bought the warranty just in case. I also like that you can answer your phone on it. Also, there's a social mode, where other people with blue tooth can connect to it. There's also an external charger, so if you're running low juice on your phone or electronic device, then you can charge it. The sound is so powerful. I'm really impressed!

The Charge 2+ is a real good deal for the sound that you get. I had the Charge 2 but exchanged it due to me using it by the pool all the time. The sound is great and the bass is right there. Compared the UE Boom this speaker just sounds better all the way around. Not as loud but it has more thump. I would say the only draw back is that it's not loud enough. With the right music app (for Android) it can boost the volume slightly. 4 stars because it didn't come with a case.

We are trying to look for a portable speaker and glad we found this. At first we are hesitant to buy it but because i found other speakers to be a bit expensive so i said let's try it and test it.. Finally when we play the music it really fascinated us because the sound is loud and yet the music is clear, the bass is good too. Also, since i have kids, i don't have to worry about water splashes because it's waterproof... This portable speaker can be use aa a power bank so you can charge your devices thru usb even your smartphones, which is a plus factor. Overall I strongly recommend this to anyone who wants a portable speaker with a reasonable price..

We were getting a new phone and an associate was playing with this-they had just started selling them. Bought one immediately. The sound is great. Small, easy to use, water resistant.

This unit has excellent bass and the sound quality overall is better than I anticipated. Ease of use is a plus and I like the Charging option. About the only negative is the round shape that tends to roll around in some applications.

Had the Beats Pill and then heard this from a friend and was blown away.Sound is much fuller than the Pill, much more bottom end. Love the fact that it's splash proof. A little bigger and heavier than the Pill but not by much. My only gripe is that it doesn't have a case for it, especially with the woofers exposed on both sides of the unit. You'd think that they would give you something to put it in to protect it instead of just throwing it in your backpack when taking it on the go.

Overall I am satisfied with this speaker for what I do musically. Battery life lasts are advertised, my one suggestion for android users is... if you want the best sound from this speaker is, go to Google Play Store and download a Music Player (I use Music Player for Android by JRT Studios) which will enable you to use your built in equalizer. Better yet, download a Equalizer to use in conjunction with your playback player, you won't be disappointed. dj Blue Note

This JBL speaker is incredible... It will fill the whole entire room with amazing sound for it's size. This speaker is a superior designed product, I'm so impressed with this JBL product I now own three of these units. The (((BASS))) on the unit is truly amazing with a bumpin' kick that you can actually see. Why doesn't JBL make this unit in the all WHITE? They would capture a whole other market in the Marine world. This item would be perfect to take on the boat, at the beach or around the pool. They could call it the JBL Charge 2 Plus Marine. Get with it JBL!

Sound is very full even with base. Battery life is amazing, and you can charge your phone off the stereo!!! Best part is it's well made. Someone knocked it off the table and I was afraid it was broke. But I picked it up, dusted it off, and it was just fine!

While streaming music this speaker has held a charge for 12 hrs. Also has good bass and clear sound. Great for an outdoor portable speaker.
