I had reviewed the opinions expressed by a lot of folks on a number of similar speakers before I settled on this. I have to say I am way more than pleased with this purchase from Best Buy. It has become a go to store for me for all items electronic-- where you have helpful and knowledgeable assistants who are able and willing to explain the vagaries of the latest and the finest products. I always watch/listen before I buy these types of products. I am amazed at the ease of set up and the quality of sound one gets from this speaker. The bass is absolutely amazing! I went with a red one but all colors looked truly great. I love my new Bluetooth speaker from JBL.

This is my second JBL Charge 2 (first was stolen). When comparing this with the newer Charge 2+ the only difference I found was the the water resistant wrapping. As I do not take the speaker near any major sources of water the 50.00 savings over the Charge 2+ made sense to be. Clear midrange and highs, and decent bass for a small speaker. I am a musician and I am fussy over the overall sound quality. This JBL speaker does not disappoint!

i bought the brv-1s about two months prior to purchasing this unit. two factors made that decision: 1.the charge 2 was $50 dollars more 2. three best buys i visited had non-working demos of the charge two. when the price dropped to 119 i had to do some research and trust those reviewing the unit. all in all, i'm impressed. this blows the brv out of the water in sound and loudness. great bass and clarity for a unit so small - i thought the brv1s was impressive for it's size too. i'm more of a mid-tone fan with bass being just as important, but clean bass is better than loud mud. treble fatigues me quickly and the charge isn't as tinny as the monster and UE sounded. this has become my work out buddy now! the brv is now my daughters, so it's still getting use.

Bought the JBL Charge 2 after several researches and an advice from a Best Buy employee at the store. I was to pay $200.00 for the Bose Soundlink mini and asked for his opinion which came without a doubt: "Save $50 and get the JBL that is way much better. I have a band and we use JBL for testing our sounds". No regrets so far after 2 months of use. Battery lasts at least 5 hours IF working full-time and in high volume. If you use it regurlaly like once or twice a day expect to only charge it once a week or every 10 days!! As for the sound quality, it is great for indoor use (I would say it's even more than what I needed). It is easy to carry but the base is too thin which makes it easy to roll down from any surface as per its rounded shape. For the latter I only give 4 stars. Tip: Use it smartly. Once the sound is generated both in front and on the rear (which is annoying to be honest), try to use something like a shell-format (a dish, any objec or even a wall) facing the rear of it and you will see a great boost on the overall sound.

Very good sound for a small package that can also charge your devices if needed. I use this when working in the garage or in my workshop. Connects fast and effortlessly. Too bad it doesn't come with a case.

I got my JBL Charge 2 as a gift. It's perfect for sound quality. Not too big to carry wherever you need to hear great sounds. I would recommend this product to any music lover who enjoys good sounds.

Sound is awesome. Two mini subwoofers on either side really add to sound quality. And battery life is impressive.

the first time i herd about JBL charge was that they where released in radio shack and man they sounded great. Now the charge 2! they put music to another level and that is something i would be proud to pull out of my backpack and show off. best medium size speakers to buy. worth its price!

Awesome speaker for the price, great sound and plenty loud. I love the feture that allows it to connect to up to five devices at once so friends can play the next song.o has very good battery life.

Bought this to use around the house but I've been using it at church with my kids class. It's great, the sound is very bassy and clear and it's size makes it easy to carry in my purse. I love it!

This speaker was purchased for a teenage who loves to play all the music on her phone everywhere she goes. The speaker charges quickly and last much longer than Mom and Dad would like it to sometimes. The sound quality is excellent and not metallic in nature, it actually sounds like the music that the artists made not a recording of a recording of a vinyl record from a cassette tape.

I purchased this item for my son for Christmas. I was very budget conscious and selected the next lower model when looking online, so I didn't even review or compare this one at all. When I got to the store, I found there to be only a $20 price difference and thought the differences to be worth the minimal cost. Now I feel like there's a party in my house every day! The base is very strong! We can hear the speaker clearly wherever we are in the house. He also loves that he can charge his phone through the speaker and that he and his friends can alternate who's music they are listening to without having to disconnect one phone to reconnect the other. Great buy!

This bluetooth speaker was easy to sync and the sound quality is unbelievable for its size! One charge and the speaker lasts all day.

The sound is great love the bass. It's portable, so I can take it to my friends house and listen to music there. My friend actually loved it too and she ended up buying one herself.

No, not Wal-Mart; I mean the speaker! For what you're paying you can't go wrong with this speaker. It sounds deep and has no trouble filling up a room. The battery life is great, I've only had to charge it a handful of times in the last month. I recommend this to anyone looking for a quality speaker at an affordable price.

It's so small and compact but gives a full sound. It's so handy and works well. Very easy to use. I dropped once from 3 ft high, but nothing happened. Well built. Love it!!!

Loved this purchase. It connects to your iphone through Bluetooth and you can just carry it around with you anywhere in the house or outside on the patio. It has a great sound.
