This speaker is a flat out amazing. JBL did a great job creating a balance. Great volume capabilities, long charge, accessible, booming!

The sound and volume are great. The battery life is super. It connects quickly and the controls are easy to use.

This unit really packs a punch for being so small. I've been a mobile disc jockey for many years and am really awestruck at some of the newer portable sound technology. The bass in this unit is excellent (almost like a sub-woofer). However, it does dissipate the further away you go from the unit. It's very good within a 25' radius, and unbelievable. JBL has always been in the top few brands chosen by DJs, and this unit carries JBL quality.

It was a choice between this and the Bose soundlink mini. Am glad I made this call. The sound is comparable if nit better.. hard to believe... but it is true. JbL charge 2+ is clearly More versatile, better battery life, rapid charging, splash proof, universal adapter, using the speaker as a phone charging source are all practical advantages.. not sure if I have much use for the multi device connect ability...yet.

Bought this for a road trip because my Volvo doesn't have bluetooth or an AUX input. I wanted something that I could use that was at least close to using the built in sound system. I went back and forth between the UE Boom 2 and the JBL Charge 2+. They both sounded good in the store but since they weren't on the same display I couldn't really get a direct comparison. I ended up buying the UE and going out to my car to listen to it. When I cranked it up it just didn't quite hit it for the bass beat. I went back in and exchanged it for the JBL, put it on the dash, pressed play and....wow... the difference was huge. When I looked it over I noticed why. Both ends of the JBL are low end speakers. Watch them work when you have a bass beat. Used it with my iPhone throughout the trip in the car. We also brought some movies to play on my macbook when we got there. Paired with that (you can have more than one device connected at the same time) it felt like a movie experience even though the screen was small. Good audio makes a difference. Bottom line. Its bigger that the UE but the sound quality and range is like night and day. Buy it!

Love this. My husband was going to get me a Bluetooth speaker for our anniversary, so I figured I'd just read reviews on Amazon and have him order one. Wrong! There are so many out there so we went to Best Buy to try them out. I was set on the Bose until I heard the different ones (which all seemed very comparable). What made my mind on the JBL: it got louder than the Fuego, was water proof unlike the Bose, came in several colors (got the turquoise), had a nice bass (husband's concern), although it was round had a flat area on one side to stand up on (plus u can stand upright on either end, was just worried about blowing over on a boat or at the beach), and price ($150 at the time I believe). Bought a case on Amazon and plan on taking this to the beach with us next week. For now I use it every morning getting ready while my toddler claps and dances...

For me, this is the best all around speaker system for your iPhone, great sound, perfect size and the water resistance is plus for either home use, or out by the pool or the beach. I am sure there are speakers that sound better, or are smaller, but for this price point, I don't think you can beat the JBL. Super easy to use, you almost don't need to bother with the instructions.

I have to give praise to the BB sales rep for this one. Was actually looking at the more expensive model that lights up but she recommended this model as having better sound. She's right in my opinion. Really kicks it out! Might be a little too much bass for some of you but works great for us. Quick, easy sync, water resistant, and very portable. Recommended!

Received this product as a gift. Wasn't sure if it would be good or not but turned out really great. I am a real fan of this product. Battery life last a long time and output on souf is crisp and sub woofers do not take away any clarity. Also I like that it is splash proof so I use it around the pool or during a workout. I would recommend this to anyone

When factoring cost, durability, and sound quality this speaker is definitely the best choice. Other speakers may have slightly better sound quality or additional able to withstand water damage, but if you're just looking for a way to listen to music on the deck, in the garage, or at a tailgate then this is the one for you. Well done JBL.

Quick charging, long battery life and great sound! That's about all you want In a smallish portable BlueTooth speaker. When things warm up a bit, this waterproof speaker will be on my sailboat all summer! I bought one for myself and was impressed enough to buy one for my beach loving daughter-in-law for Christmas. I highly recommend!

I must say I am impressed by the big sound coming from this little speaker. Nice highs and lows. Turn it up to the max with little to no distortion. Wanted something portable we could use on vacation that would "get the party started." This did just that. Easily connects to my iPhone. Purchased the red one. Love the color.

I bought this after returning the UE speaker on the similar size and range. Much happier with the sound, hands free calling capability, and aesthetic of the JBL speaker. Bass is much fuller, which seemed to be lacking with the UR speaker, and overall volume is improved. Fair trade off for lack of waterproof covering.

Purchased as a gift for a teenager. Unit syncs easily and had good volume, clarity, and volume. Was also looking at the Bose Soundlink Color and Soundlink Mini. All 3 sounded good. I hate to say it but design and color were the primary determinants. It is getting daily use since Xmas and seems to be holding up fine.

I had bought the orginal charge a year back and I ended up returning it I just wasn't that impressed. I actually went in to buy a bose and saw this one for the same price and thought I'd give it a shot. The sound quality is awesome, I love the color selection that they have now and the battery is awesome. I brought it camping and it was perfect and the water resistance for me was a big plus

We bought this speaker to use outside in the backyard. It is perfect for travel or even just moving your music from room to room indoors. The sound quality is very good. Nice bass sound. Lasts fairly long on a full battery charge. And the price is better than some of the higher end portable speakers.

For what it is, the sound quality and volume are excellent. Lows good, mids a little bit muddy but OK. I'd rank it as even with an inexpensive but good quality bookshelf or floor speaker. Highs recessed as they go up and absent over about 12,000Hz. Looks good, and I appreciate the color choices in-store. It charges other devices well. Its power lasts a long time with or without use. Perfectly enjoyable to hear and to use. I sometimes use it for convenience while walking around the house instead of the $800+ headphones that I have. Comparable to maybe $100 headphones. I haven't had the need to evaluate durability, but it feels and looks sturdy.

I decided to look for a speaker to use at home and in my car because it does not have Bluetooth connectivity for my phone. I listen to radio at home and audio books and music in the car. Not only is my smartphone speaker tinny, but I couldn't get enough volume to cover the road noises in the car. Got this speaker set it up outside Best Buy in less than 5 minutes and love it. Battery lasts a long time, plus can plug my phone in to it. Sounds great and really easy to use, even when driving. I didn't even realize it works for phone calls too, but it does. I don't even use the car radio anymore, just my phone and my JBL speaker. I'm really happy with my purchase!

This speaker is small but it is SO LOUD!!! This thing is amazing! The sound quality is absolutely excellent! The bass and the crystal clear sound the speaker projects is excellent! JBL is a wonderful brand and if you are in the market for a great-low-cost Bluetooth speaker, this is the one for you!
