It will charge their phone and play their music. Use in your vehicle = great rear speaker. It also fits nicely in their backpack to have while riding their bike.

My son is now the coolest kid in school…everyone begs him the bring his speaker to the park. What’s also great is you can charge your phone from the speaker…now he has no excuses why he missed my phone call

They produce a lot of sound in outside environments and the way you chain link them together is great. Sound quality is very good, even at high volumes. I bought three of them to use when I host outdoor events.
