I’ve had a few of the Flip series of JBL but wanted to go a little bigger, and this thing does not disappoint by any means. It’s just a little bigger than the Flips but packs a whole lot of power and sound. When I play my music, I immediately go to this thing to bring the music to life and fill the whole room and then some. I love my JBL products!

Best Speaker I have ever purchased. The battery life in this speaker amazing. Great for a fun day at the beach or blasting music while cleaning. JBL is the way to go!
Great Speaker-Not Much of an Upgrade Over Last-Gen

This is a very good speaker. I actually own the JBL Charge 5, and purchased this when my 5 took some water damage (probably due to the USB port cover not being totally closed) and stopped working. I purchased this as a replacement and the new features like the carrying strap and the larger base are nice, but honestly I don't see it as enough of an upgrade to be worth it other than the fact that there is no more USB port cover to worry about - as far as sound quality I can't tell much difference between this and the 5.
The other thing that I found very annoying is that they have a new version of the connectivity used to put these speakers in party mode and I can't pair it with my Charge 5 (which started working again after a few days of drying).
Overall I would save the 50 bucks or so extra that this speaker costs and just go with the 5, especially if you won't be using it in water.
