Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the Everest 700 Wireless Over-the-Ear Headphones' excellent sound quality, comfortable fit, and impressive battery life. Many appreciate the reliable Bluetooth connectivity and strong bass response, while some users noted that the volume could be improved and that button placement is not ideal for all users. The lack of a carrying case was also mentioned as a drawback by a few customers. Overall, the positive feedback on sound and comfort outweighs the reported minor issues.

I tried about 5 headphones. While I'm not 100% pleased with this specific headphone and brand, the music quality is good. They are bulky and bad quality when talking.

I purchased these headphone because they have an input to wire if you need to. That comes in handy, when not charged. Took for my first run and they did well!!

My son had them less than a week and we need to repair a volume switch. Thankfully I got the coverage for Best Buy to fix it. Otherwise my son loves them.

Wanting to get a new pair of headphones, I went to Best Buy and tried on many pairs by different brands. I eventually purchased Beats Solo 2 Wireless headphones, which were on sale for $200. I returned them a couple hours later. The sound quality was what I expected, but they were uncomfortable and the sound leaked pretty badly out of the speakers. I was always hesitant about Beats headphones, and this confirmed for me that they are an overpriced big brand name whose products don't measure up to competitors with lower price points. So, I went back to Best Buy and purchased this pair of headphones after a little more browsing. I decided I wanted an over-the-ear style, rather than an on-the-year (like the Beats), to prevent sound leakage. My budget cap was about $200, ruling out the $300 elite pair. Bose headphones were out of my price range, and the Sony wireless extra bass headphones were a bit large and bulky for my taste. So that's how I landed on this pair. The first and most important thing I'll address is the other reviews that mention the audio lag when watching videos. On first use, I tested this out via Youtube and experienced it myself. As some of the JBL responses indicate, there has been a software update that completely eliminates this problem. It is a very easy process and takes about 5 minutes to complete. At first it seemed a little intimidating and strange that headphones could need a software update, but it's painless. I promise. Here is the url for the software update (Yes, it's a link to the Everest 300 pair, but the proper software isn't available on the Everest 700 page for some reason. It's the same software though) http://www.jbl.com/bluetooth-headphones/EVEREST+300.html After clicking the link, scroll down and click on "Manuals & Downloads" and then "HID software". After it downloads, unzip the files, open up the pdf instructions, and follow along. Again, it only takes a few minutes. Once the firmware update is done, you will no longer experience any lag while watching videos. My entire review is based on having the updated software, listening to primarily rock/alternative music, and using the wireless function rather than the aux plug. Pros: Comfortable - the cushions around the ears fit well and are soft. The cushion on top of the head is also comfortable Great sound - They get impressively loud and the bass is just right in my opinion. Not too much to where it overwhelms, but not too low either. In most cases though, I recommend to use EQ settings on whatever device you're using to listen to music to personalize your sound preferences. Bluetooth connectivity is simple and quick Very minimal sound leakage - I tend to listen to my music loud, so this can create a small amount of leakage at times. Compared to other headphones I've tried, the leakage here is MUCH smaller than other pairs. If you're listening at a normal volume, leakage is basically nothing The headphones fold up nicely The buttons on the exterior function well on android (play, pause, volume, etc.) You can use the provided aux cord (which has a volume button, play/pause button, and mic) if you wish or if the battery dies Style - Personally, I dislike how Beats headphones look because they're plasticy and glossy, meaning finger prints get all over them. I also don't prefer big bulky headphones, such as the Sony wireless extra bass headphones. For over-the-ear headphones, these were the sleekest and most stylish in my opinion. The finish on the headphones is nice, and for over-the-ear headphones, they're pretty lightweight and compact. Cons It does not come with a carrying/travel case If you want to count this as a con, I wish it came in more colors. The store I purchased from only had gray in stock, and it looks decent. According to the site there is also black though When adjusting the headphones to fit the size of your head, the slider does not have any lock-in feature to keep it at that size. Sometimes I'll adjust them to the appropriate size, and I'll accidentally expand or retract one of the speakers when putting them on or taking them off Overall, I feel as if this pair of headphones deserves 5 stars. For $200 it's hard to find a great pair of headphones. Everyone has different aesthetic, sound, and functionality preferences on their headphones. Personally, I use my headphones in more of a causal setting when lying around the house listening to music, or the occasional traveling on airplanes/in cars. So I just needed something that would stay comfortable for a long time, provide great sound, and not leak out sound to disturb others who are around. These headphones do everything I need them to do. I feel that my money was well spent on these.

Great headphones. Battery life is amazing. Not only that but they look good. The only issue is the fitting if you have a small head then you cannot go to the gum with these as they may fall

Bought these to wear at work to drown out the same f*****g 20 songs that get played on coworkers stereos everyday. Comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Nice and loud as well. Had skull candys and a pair of sonys. Returned both of them and bought these.

After less than a year these stopped working, other than via Bluetooth. Tried several replacement cables and sound only comes through one side when using wired connection. Definitely not worth the $165 paid for them, I have Bose OE Soundlink headphones that are still going strong after 3 years, with better sound quality and much better build quality than the JBL's (and only slightly higher price). Can't recommend these.

These are without a doubt the best headphones I have ever owned. They fit comfortably over the ears and are adjustable. The cushioning drowns out the chatter from noisy coworkers and the sound is impeccable. I would definitely purchase these again.

I bought these earphones for my sound who is very picky. He loves these over the earphones. They are soft, loud enough, and fit very comfortable. I am very satisfied with this purchase and he always have the things with him no matter what!

I caught these on sale at $179.00 I was in a rush to get to the airport so I didn't have time to read reviews and these looked like they were pretty good. They have good mid range but they are no Beats by Dre or Sony Extra Bass. They were very average sounding to me and the button placement kept me hitting the share to other headphone feature and my music would stop playing every time.
