I CANNOT stress enough how amazing this speaker is! The sound quality is stunning. It is extremely loud. The bass is amazing and bass is something i really look for in a speaker. The fact it's waterproof ties the 5 stars in all together. Stays charged for a LONG time, and is easy to use at any occasion. Has a very good range length for bluetooth to work. I own a Beats Pill, and heard my friends speaker (the JBL flip 4) and was completely jealous! The sound beats A BEATS PILL which costs more than double the amount of money. Very happy with this purchase. I wish I could provide at least one con of this product so anyone reading this would know I was not hired to write this, but there is nothing bad about this speaker! I normally don't write reviews, but literally i was so happy with this that I wanted to share this with anyone interested in buying one. DONT HESITATE!! Amazing speaker!!

This is a great speaker for use around pool and general outside places. The sound is amazing for a smaller size speaker!

The sound and quality is excellent. I love the color red, but I wished a carrying case came with the speaker.

This little speaker is amazing, is suprisenly loud and I love how I can use it with my phone as a speaker too, I own the extreme as well, I would Def recommend this item. The color is beautiful, I gifted my daughter the aqua one

This is a fantastic Bluetooth speaker. Very high quality and built extremely well, durable. Very high quality sound, deep bass, very loud for the size of speaker. Fills a few rooms at full volume easily if not more. Battery life is very good, easily 8-12 hours or more on one charge. Highly recommend!!

Wow. JBL just made the best speaker (flip 3) in its category even better. I didn't think you could "up" the game of the Flip 3. However JBL just did that. For me the most important thing is always the Quality of the Sound. Owner of the JBL Flip 3 and Xtreme (The reference on the Market) I was gravitating around the BT Speakers area testing all of the usual suspects (Bose, Sony, Altec Lansing, Beats, UE Boom) Nothing Spectacular, even the new Bose 360 didn't really put a smile on my face. Then I saw that the Flip 4 just arrived. I put out the cash for it as I wanted to test it in my own terms. Went back home tested against my JBL Flip 3 and oh my..... the difference is clear. And I mean clear and crisp. My father in law left his Bose soundlink Mini 2 and was an oportunity to test them head to head. The Bose sounded like a kitchen radio compared to the JBL flip 4. The Clarity, Crispness, soundstage is on another level. Let alone the style (The bose looks like it was designed after and old CRT TV). The JBL just looks so tight and well made. It is Waterproof and gets up to 12 hours play time and you can use it anywhere you want it. Just simply the best speaker out there. I didn't believe Bose was not that good (You know, the Audiophile Cousin of the Family told me so) until I tested. Superbly done JBL, superbly done.

I’m happy with this purchase. Sound is awesome for a small speaker. It’s portable an resistant to water spills. Battery life is great, especially because I use it for short durations. It makes watching video on a pc/tablet more enjoyable. I’d definitely repurchase as a gift.

Wanted something small and light, but also loud with base and clear sound for listening at the beach, definitely happy with this.. I was skeptical, but getting this is one of the better of my decisions I've had lately. Highly recommend it.

Sound is so amazing. Clear and loud without distorting sound. Great battery life, lasted 10 hours of straight play one day for me! Color is so nice and the mesh looks and feels super sturdy and expensive. Easily pairs with my iPhone.

Paired easily with the press of a button and a few seconds with an iPad Air2. It reacts to the volume and mute keys on the iPad's Logitech Bluetooth keyboard (both from Best Buy) My Mom listens to the news on internet wi-fi cable TV app in the kitchen. We could also listen to baseball and football at dinner. iPad speakers are fine up close but this speaker sound is good across the kitchen and when the stove fan is on. I walked down to the office and basement in a tri-level home and it worked from the iPad. She ws sold on it as soon as she heard it. Rich full sound for the size. A nice balance between treble and bass (not adjustable). Nice size and appearance. It can be stood straight up or laid flat (but you have to roll it over to use the power button. It makes an alert noise when it's turned on and off. It was charged out of the box (not sure how much). Rated for 10-12 hrs so we'll see. It comes with a nice short orange USB charging cable. But just like iPads you have to buy an AC wall adapter. I don't know what kind. I suppose you could charge it with a computer not sure (I keep my MacBook Pro plugged in) It has a carrying cord attached. It's JBL by Harmon which are trusted names. Made in Vietnam on the box fwiw It was on sale which helped the budget. I don't want to jinx it since we bought it today. It is an electronic USB battery charged after all. One year limited manufacturer warranty. Could still get 2 yr Best Buy protection. So far so good.

This speaker is very loud and clear. It pairs instantly and without any trouble.. the battery lasts for several hours even at a high volume. Very high quality sound and durability

I wanted a Bluetooth speaker small enough to take with me but powerful enough for usage in my apartment and at work... the JBL Flip 4 does this well. Pairing w/my cell phone & laptop was simple with good connectivity and range. Of course it all comes down to sound quality...while not a huge bass-boomer, there is sufficient low end while managing to have a clean/open sound. Vocals are pleasing and instrumentals sound "right". Volume is better than I would have expected, and time between charging is very good. This is great for personal listening, small groups, etc. I am very pleased with it's design, construction and sound quality.

I love the way it sounds. I love the size of it, it’s perfect! It’s easy to connect to the Bluetooth. I like the design of the buttons. Also, I like how it’s waterproof.

I had bought a Flip 4 right when it came out, after comparing reviews of UE Boom, Bose, and other JBL models. I chose this because of the sound quality makes you think it's a huge shelf speaker yet so portable, plus it's waterproof. I just bought another one in an awesome blue color in the store because I can easily link the two to one phone and have them play in unison, or just the R or L output for true stereo performance (needs JBL app to do this). At a recent party, even borrowed a third JBL Charge 4 and all were in sync, filling up the room with same music from one cell phone.

Hands down the best speaker I have used in my whole life. I will never use anything else it’s so loud with amazing sound and bass. It’s small, portable and keeps a long charge. I bring this little guy to work, the beach, on the boat, use it around the house when I’m doing housework and I am so impressed with it. If you’re undecided, buy it. You won’t regret it!!
