However, some users have experienced connectivity issues and difficulty finding the right fit for their ears. Additionally, a few customers have mentioned that the bass is lacking and the price is not the most competitive in the market.

I was really excited to finally have a set of truly wireless headphones and the JBL Free looked like it would fit the bill. Unfortunately, these headphones are just okay with lots of room for improvement.
First, the good. The fit of the earbuds can be customized to your liking fairly quickly with the included ear tips and silicone sleeves. Once I got the right combination, the buds felt good, were comfortable, and didn't make me worry about one falling out. The pairing process worked as expected and I had no issues. When you take the buds out of the charging case, they automatically turn on and connect to the last device they were paired to. They turn off when you place them back into the case and automatically begin charging. The case has a series of four LED's showing the charge state of the case itself.. Sound quality is decent (more on this later). Battery life appears to be in line with JBL's claims. So far so good.
But now the bad. As I said before, the sound quality is decent...just decent. Lows are missing and highs get muddled. Not what I expect from JBL. The volume is noticeably lower than other wireless headsets I use with the same device (iPhone 7). The main point of headphones is to listen to music, and these unfortunately don't shine on this simple task. Then there's an intermittent connection issue between the buds. Only the right one connects to your device and the left gets its sound data from the right. In normal use, the sound in the left will simply drop out for no apparent reason. It's unpredictable and annoying. Also, if you plan on wearing anything that covers your ears for warmth (or fashion), the connection dropouts will increase exponentially so they won't be a good choice for anyone who enjoys winter sports and staying warm. On an aesthetic side, when the Free's are on, a blue ring pulses on each one and there's no way to turn that off. Although I obviously can't see the glow unless I look in a mirror, that pulsing light will certainly bring a lot of attention to the fact you have these in your ears. I simply prefer to be a bit more discreet. There is no way to change the volume through the buds, requiring you to pull out your phone, use your smartwatch or invoke your voice assistant. Not ideal in my opinion. Also, the controls are not simply touch sensitive areas, but physical buttons, meaning double "taps" are more cumbersome and somewhat slower.
I really wanted to like the Free's but there are simply too many areas that need improving (especially basics like playing music reliably). There are other options in this arena and price point that don't appear to have as many flaws that would likely be worth looking into.

I like the idea and the comfort of the in-ear headphones however the left ear has an issue staying connected. Sound quality is ok, but if you are wanting to hear any base these are not for you. A little disappointed considering JBL is one of my favorite brands.

Not bad. Sound is good, a bit bulky and the shape is a bit odd for ear fitment but overall not terrible. Comes with a nice little case too!

Let me start by saying these headphones are super cute and comes with an awesome charging case. The down side is I have not been able to sync the headphones since I purchased them weeks ago. They also don’t have bass, so the quality of sound is not great!

Bought these as a recommendation from a Best Buy employee. The sound quality for music is decent. That is all I can say good about these. When receiving a call, the volume is super low, I had to turn the volume all the way to max. Once the call is over and they transition back to music, it will bust your eardrums because of the volume now being at max. Also, I didn't like the fact that they glow "blue" in your ear while you wear them. Can't say anything else as I only tried these for 3 days and returned them after 6 days.
