It has a great loud sound and the light are a good touch

I dealt with JBL products since the speakers in my car had to get upgraded to meet my level of audio. The Pulse 2 is pretty big in size and a bit heavy like comparing the weight to a candle in a jar. When I first purchased it the unit played music for at least 5 hours with the led lights on (w/o would've lasted an hour and a half more). You can't put the unit horizontal, because the speaker itself is where the led lights are so it'll sound muffled hence why it should be propped vertically even if a subwoofer gets covered. For a full charge it can take an hour to an hour and a half after the speakers been completely used up. The Pulse 2 can last with the led lights on up to seven to seven and a half hours. Without the led lights it can be eight and a half to nine hours. The led lights are neat from fireflies, traffic lights, rain drops, and even a campfire flame. A couple come with ambient sounds according to the setting. (campfire sounds for the flame, ocean sounds for the waves setting, etc.) Each one you can customize the setting for each from low, medium, and high. If connected to the JBL connect app it can be updated to fix certain issues and add a few more tidbits, but mainly to added a touch effect that'll show up on the led screen. You don't have to keep the app on your phone, but if you want it running the most recent version of the Pulse 2 it wouldn't hurt to have it just for said option. As mentioned above you can use the led lights the whole time or just turn them off completely, so it won't burn the battery if it were just on all the time. There's also a small lens on the pulse 2 in which you press the sync button while having anything colored facing said lens the led lights change according to the color, but it's limited to basic colors not advanced. (red, blue, green, yellow, etc.) All in all I don't regret my purchase. The audio is ridiculous especially the bass depending on what I'm listening to and the battery is amazing compared to other speakers. If you can test one out in store give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Very easy to use. Clear sound. Lights really enhance the experience. I would recommend this product. We enjoy it everyday.

What you're really paying for here is the whole dazzle of it all. It's easily one of the most aesthetically appealing speakers because of all its light and effects, but not one of the most powerful portable speakers out there. BOTTOM LINE: if you're going for looks and want a "cool" and unique set of portable speakers then get this. But, if you don't care for any of the bells and whistles, you can get similar sound quality for cheaper for sure..

This thing is fantastic. Great sound and the light show is just cool. 4+ hours with lights on, 9+ with no lights.

The sound quality of this unit was good, and the lights are in need of fact. However the charging port failed in less than a year, making it impossible for the unit to receive or keep a charge. Returning it is a gigantic hassle.

The speaker volume is high which is great. Light show is very entertaining. Easy to connect through Bluetooth also the app for the speaker is available and easy to use. Overall great speaker. I had the first jbl pulse and loved it and bought the JBL pulse 2 as soon as it came out. 10 hour battery is awesome and doesn't take to long to charge.

This product was a Christmas present for my girlfriend. She wanted a compact, blue tooth compatible speaker that packed some serious sound, and this product delivered 100%. As an audiophile, I am very particular about speakers and sound quality. The bass is great, and this speaker has very clear highs and mids. A big bonus that she really loves are the lights that really make listening to her favorite jams a blast!

I can only compare this product to the UE Boom wh/ is $199.99 compared to this JBL Pulse 2. Overall sound depth is not as good as the UE Boom but the light show makes up for that somewhat. If sound as good, and when I say good, I mean as loud. Don't get me wrong though, the JBL Pulse 2 sound is very good, and I would recommend, but being honest, I would spend the $50 more on a deeper louder sound. Again light show is awesome, but doesn't make up for it...
