No, it won't blow you away with concert grade sound but the 6W speaker setup is a definite upgrade over the Moto Z's front facing speakers. Currently using it on a Moto Z Play and while it's a little loose around the top portion, the magnets hold the mod to the phone tightly.

no need to carry a speaker, this give you loud sound and good base. and has a built in battery

A little but overpriced. At the sale price, it's worth it. Good sound for the size. They should have built in Bluetooth. That would have been awesome.

Solid speaker, good balance. Tight fit, no problems. One wish is it could get a little louder.

This thing is great. Mind you, it isn't the bassiest thing in the world, but it still sounds great. Sound is clear, and very loud if you want it to be. I use it for music (obviously), watching Initial D with my sister, and watching YouTube videos. It's good for all that. Great as a first mod, other than perhaps the Turbo Power Pack.

I really like the way it works and it sounds great and pretty cool to use whenever I like to use it for more lights out

For such a small speaker it produces good sound, and decent volume. The modular concept is fun, and I enjoy being able to change the abilities of my Moto Z2 Force so easily

This speaker definitely enhanced my music I listen to while I'm at work , a lot better than stock speaker for sure. Has a cool little kick stand and a great equilizer so you can. Tune to your type of music, would buy again.

I purchased to use as a better speaker phone. It works well. The better sound for music and videos is a bonus for me.

It doubles the weight of the phone and sounds like a cheap Bluetooth speaker. But JBL is the only one that does this, so it is the best. It is pretty tough. I have dropped it a few times and it hasn't broken, which is great. It doesn't even show signs of wear which I was concerned about. I was afraid the fabric would get dirty or tear and it still looks like new, so I can say that it seems to be made very well. I just do not like the sound quality. To me it sounds like a cheap Bluetooth speaker rather than a quality speaker.

Puts our surprisingly good sound for such a small and inexpensive device. First Moto Mod I've purchased, and it works great, worth the price. Only issue is transporting it separate from the phone - should've come with a case or even a small drawstring bag. Minor complaint, still 5 stars.

The speaker mod was a really nice addition to the Moto phone. It added quite a bit of quality sound to an already decent speaker.

This speaker really puts out good sound and at a high level. I've used it outside, in a gym and inside... great in all instances. Plus the battery really lasts as well. Only have to charge it once a week.

Moto mod fits my Moto z2 Play perfectly. Excellent sound, but bass is a little weak. Speaker is somewhat bulky. Haven't yet been able to use some of the features that are supposed to be available with the associated free app. Must remove case to use. Overall, very happy with the JBL Soundboost II.

I am a huge Motorola phone fan, and bought this mod so that I can play my music at work without using a bluetooth speaker. The sound is pure and fills the room with a very clear sound, and good bass.
