I just charged this up the other day to see how it sounded, It took a couple of hours in its initial charge, and has a life of 10 hours. It does give you some decent stereo sound when playing back your music. IT can be tough to carry in pocket attached to phone though- as it is a half inch thick and adds extra weight.

This Moto-Mod speaker is fantastic. It enhances the sound quality immensly. It attaches easily with powerful magnets built into the case and can be recharged while attached to the phone. Got a great deal on it as well!

The JBL speaker is a nice compliment to the Moto Z. It shows the potential of the Moto Mods. The sound quality is better than you might expect for a speaker this size, but it doesn't have the presence of a Bose bluetooth speaker. On the flip side, you can fit this one in your pocket (although it may have to be a big pocket).

Its pretty cool to have the speaker attachment, but......it isnt very pocket friendly and makes the phone pretty bulky, adds lots of weight, and isnt as loud as I thought it would be. Sounds great if you are maybe in your office at work where its a small space and you cant really crank it up. Its DOES have good sound.

It's so awesome not having to carry a separate bluetooth speaker, this one attaches by magnet very securely and has its own battery and lasts long and if your phones battery is is dead it will use the speakers battery as a backup

The JBL Moto Mod speaker is the simplest phone speaker you could ever use. With Motorola's magic magnet back on their Moto Z's, you have an instant speaker upgrade. I can't say you get top notch speaker sound, but uou do get a great jump in sound and loudness. It lacks deep bass but is plenty loud in most situations.

Purchased phone and speaker as a package and have used on a regular basis. Easy to just snap on to boost quality of music. No Bluetooth syncing, etc. Very well designed with kick stand. Just feels good in the hand and looks great!

This speaker mod is surprisingly great. No need to buy extra Bluetooth speakers now. Snaps on and you are ready to go. If you love music it is a must to have with this phone.

I flat out love it. You attach it in seconds and instantly your phone is LOUD!!! It has its own battery so you can play music without having to worry about your battery being depleted. For the money, this is a great Moto Mod.

This mod eliminates the need to connect to a remote speaker via bluetooth. It's own built in battery so using it doesn't drain your phone battery and the kickstand creates the perfect reflective angle to get the best sound.

Bought since it was on sale for $59.99. good speaker, only complaint is the stand isn't adjustable.

My friends can't believe you can get such great sound out of a add on. Easy to use and doesn't have to be charged as often as I would expect. Also great for hands free calls. You'll be happy you added this Mod.

Full disclosure: If they didn't come free with the phone I wouldn't have bought them because I already have wireless speakers. That aside, the speakers actually sound pretty good and get pretty loud. I was surprised. It's a cool concept. If you don't have speakers already, go for it.

This thing rocks! got it for free with phone. very loud and crisp for what it is. Not as good as other stand alone speakers but so easy o use and starts immediately when you put on the back of your phone.

this is a jbl speaker has great sound and easy to use just put on phone and it does the rest, even has a kick stand for movies or listening to music

This speaker is loud and sounds great. It is great to just snap on my phone at my desk and listen to podcasts at work. Charges separately from phone and has its own battery so it doesn't drain phones.

This is a must purchase for anyone buying the new droid Moto z phone. The sound is great and since it has its own internal battery, I have played it for over 6 hours without any dying battery issues.

Very good speaker. It is the perfect size to carry around. I usually bring it to work and the battery last a long time. The clarify and volume is good for its size . I would recommend it !
