Awesome party speaker

I’ve had many JLab headsets and have always been happy with them especially considering the price, their new party speaker delivers on that same premise. When you first take it out of the package, you’ll be impressed with just how robust and well made it feels. Connecting your device can be done like any other Bluetooth device or you can set it up with the app which allows for customization of the sound, lights and other features. You get three preset EQ settings and one custom EQ setting. You get two USB-C ports, one out and one in and you can charge your device from one of them. You also get a headphone jack and a microphone port which gives you the ability to use the speaker for Karaoke.
Sound wise I use the bass boast EQ setting as I think it delivers just the right balance for all types of music. With the said if you’re into Rap or like bass heavy stuff the speaker doesn’t deliver real deep bass, it’s not boomy but it’s not real deep. You can sync the lights with the music or turn them off. The device also can be linked with other party speakers. If you’re looking for a small portable speaker for a tailgate, pool party or just the backyard the JLab epic party speaker is a great option.

Unbeatable Value!!!

I’ve been hunting for a solid party speaker that doesn't cost $400–$500, and after living with the **JLab Epic Party Speaker**, I’m convinced this is the best "bang for your buck" option right now. It has a few quirks, but for the price, it is phenomenal.
**The Experience:**
The first thing you’ll notice is the **360° sound**. Most of these big tower speakers only blast in one direction, but this thing has drivers all around it. I put it in the middle of my backyard during a BBQ, and everyone could hear the music clearly without it being "too loud" for the people sitting right in front of it. The build quality is also top-tier; the aluminum handle feels like it could survive a drop, and I don't have to panic if it starts drizzling because of the IP56 rating.
**The "Catch":**
Out of the box, the sound is just "okay." It’s a bit heavy in the middle and feels a little flat. **DO NOT judge this speaker until you download the JLab App.** Once you go into the 10-band EQ and boost the lows and highs, it completely transforms into a beast.
---
#### **✅ THE PROS**
* **Huge Soundstage:** The 360-degree audio is a game changer for outdoor gatherings.
* **Pro Inputs:** It has a 1/4-inch jack for a mic or guitar. We used it for karaoke last weekend and it worked perfectly.
* **Built-in Power Bank:** You can charge your phone directly from the speaker via USB-C, which is a lifesaver for long beach days.
* **Downward-Firing Sub:** Since the sub points at the ground, it uses the floor to make the bass feel much "thumpier" than it looks.
#### **❌ THE CONS**
* **Software Quirks:** The "LabSync" (for connecting multiple speakers) can be a bit glitchy. Sometimes the app loses the speaker settings and you have to restart it.
* **The 90% Rule:** It sounds crystal clear up to about 80–85% volume. If you crank it to the absolute max, the treble gets a bit "screechy."
* **App Dependency:** You really do need the app to make it sound premium; the built-in presets aren't the best.
**Final Verdict:** Is it as polished as a $500 JBL? No. But is it 90% as good for less than half the price? **Absolutely.** If you want a rugged, loud speaker with "pro" features on a budget, this is a no-brainer.

Bring the (sound) party with JLab

This JLab Epic Party speaker is, at its heart, really just a BIG bluetooth speaker. But that’s not a bad thing, since it’s also a VERY good one. This speaker is sized up to hold a strong / long-lasting battery and LOTS of sound components. So you get a great sound that can get quite loud and that lasts through the whole party. It can even act as a large external battery and charge your phone over the USB-C output port (handy since bluetooth streaming CAN also run down your phone battery).
Charging the unit is quite easy - it charges at up to 30W using the included USB-C ac adapter or you can use another one you have around the house (and who doesn’t have a USB-C charger these days). Pairing is equally easy via bluetooth or you can connect using the 3.5mm audio jack (standard headphone port) or a larger microphone port if you’re using this as more of a “PA” system. The multiple connection options provide a lot of flexibility if you want to use this with something like a projector for an outdoor movie night or such. You can also install the app if you want to control the lights more granularly or set up the equalizer - I either turned the lights off or tried them on the default mode when I DID use them so I never bothered with the app, but it’s nice to know it’s there.
The sound even on the default EQ setting is quite good for general music listening and I didn’t feel the need to adjust it, but some audiophiles might. JLab has been making quality speakers and other audio accessories for some time and this one is a great example of what they can produce. It’s well-built with sturdy components (it’s even water/splash resistant though you can’t immerse it in water) and a nice carrying handle so it should prove to be quite durable (it’s also fairly stable and doesn’t knock over easily).
So if you want to bring the sound / music to your next outdoor party, this is a great option to do just that. Give it a try today!

If you are in the market for a speaker that can go with you anyplace, and play loud enough for about any occasion, the JLab Epic Party speaker just may be worth looking into. The JLab speaker is rated at 100 watts and includes four 2.5-inch full-range drivers, a 5.25-inch subwoofer, and a 5-inch passive radiator. The speaker is designed with an omni-directional design that can fill the room with sound in every direction. As an added bonus, this speaker can be paired with a bunch of other JLab party speakers to form a massive music filled area. Almost all of the controls for the speaker can be accessed on the top of the speaker with hard buttons, but the JLab app is also really good. In fact the app has some nice features that aren't normally found in these type of applications, like a multiband equalizer and a section that has several ambient sounds that can be played, a burn in tool for headphones and control guide to help you understand the default controls on the top of the speaker itself. Through the app you can also control the light pattern on the speaker. The JLab has a customizable LED light ring with 6 different patterns that can be synced to the music. As an added bonus, the JLab also includes a 3.5mm aux input and also, a 3.5mm microphone input so the speaker can be used for Karaoke. I guess the most important part is that the speaker has great volume and very good sound. Of course, it could always have more bass, but for a portable speaker, this one does a good job. This is a great outdoor and indoor speaker and one my teenage kids have had a great time using. It has a water resistance rating, but not a dust rating that I could find, so sand could be an issue if you go to the beach.

A lot of boom for the buck

As with every JLab product I’ve owned, the Epic Party Speaker offers a lot for the money. The build quality is very good, and the appearance matches that. The battery is long lasting, and the 360-degree sound is pretty darn good. With 100 watts of power, it’s plenty for any house and modest outdoor locations. Since it can link and sync with up to 100 JLab speakers through their “LabSync” feature, it could be expanded to an entire house or to handle very large locations.
The Bluetooth 5.4 linking is quick and trouble free. The volume, equalizer presets, and six different light modes can be accessed on the unit, but you’ll want to use the JLab app to make full use of these features. The equalizer and light functions can be customized to your heart’s desire. The JLab Signature equalizer preset is the default one that the most will likely use, but it can be improved upon if you’re willing to spend a bit of time adjusting it to your taste.
Battery life is rated at 16 hours (14 with the lights on), and the included USB-C charger is rated at 30 watts, so it’s a fast charge device. In addition to the charging port, there’s a USB-C out jack for charging other devices, a 3.5mm and ¼” AUX inputs. It is equipped to be a party machine.
The sound is strong and immersive. There are four 2.5” 10W full range drivers, a 5.25” 60W woofer and a passive woofer all of which combine to provide 360-degree sound and stereo coverage. With its IP56 waterproof rating, you can safely use it outside or in wet environments. So party on and enjoy! It’s a winner at a reasonable price.

Crystal Clear High Volume with Dancing Lights

This Bluetooth speaker is awesome. The build quality is outstanding as the unit is extremely solid. The large handle is important as this is a very heavy unit due to the device's structure which allows the impressive bass capabilities and no fuzzy noise problems from vibration. The booming sound is crystal clear.
I was able to easily pair the unit with a few different brands of TV's as well as my cell phone. The pairing process is immediate and a voice tracks your pairing progress.
The JLAB app is a must since it provides easy controls to dial in your preferences for lighting and equalization including bass settings. There is a knob on the unit to make it easy to adjust volume levels as well.
The device can handle very loud audio with no distortion. You can also use the app to choose color patterns to add a lot of fun while you listen.
The device can contain a charge to play for over 16 hours but this drops to 14 hours if you use the lighting effects. There is even a unique USB-C output port that can be used to charge your phone. A 1/4 inch microphone jack is also on the unit so you can use it for a PA system. You can utilize the 'Labsync' capabilities to connect up to 100 speakers together for a large party.
I highly recommend this large 100 watt five-speaker unit that also includes a passive subwoofer as well as the customizable lights.
