The JLAB Go Pods ANC are an affordable choice and pretty good overall. They offer a nice simple stem design with a low profile that doesn't stand out and draw attention. These offer a host of various options you'd expect at a higher price point. I like the Hybrid ANC that allows for ANC on, ANC off, and Be Aware for safe listening to my nearby surroundings. The JLAB app used in conjunction with these headphones offers a nice easy way to customize the sound to your liking and also allows for customization of the touch functions. The self charging case has an integrated USB-C charging cable built in so I can easily charge my headphones with a nearby port on my computer. I get 7.5+ hours of playtime on a single charge, and a total of 26+ hours using the case. The compact style of the case and stem earbuds allows for easy portability in a bag, pocket, purse, etc. There are various equalizer sound settings such as JLAB signature and other customizable EQ settings. You'll get lab quality sound with the 10mm drivers. Bluetooth multipoint allows for transitioning from device to device effortlessly. Jumping from my iPhone phone calls to a virtual call on my computer is easy since I can simultaneously connect to 2 devices. And since I like using these headphones for working out at the gym and outdoor runs, these offer an IP55 rating to keep them sweat and splashproof. I've been making calls on these headphones for the last couple of days and the microphones are clear and allow for my voice to be heard clearly, and the microphones help to eliminate background noise. You also get a total of 6 gel cushion ear tips to help ensure you get the right fit for your ear shape. These are Bluetooth version 5.4. I've been pleased with the audio quality of these headphones for my daily usage of streaming music and videos. The sound is adequate and sounds clear and crisp. I like the touch features and learning the various taps is easy to do with the provided information card and the JLAB app. Simple design that looks good and works effectively. Excellent price point and surprisingly wowed by the sound.

I was looking for cost effective wireless earbuds for my daughter and got JLab Go Pods. It comes with Earbuds, charging case and three sets of ear tips. Setup is easy by configuring via Bluetooth using Google Fast Pair in my android device. This earbuds are very compact and lightweight and it comes with charging case smaller than a credit card. The case fits easily into the pocket. I have installed the Jlab app and able customize the ANC level, Be Aware settings and touch controls. There are presets available in the app for balance and bass boost. The safe hearing option is nice feature which allows to protect the ears from hearing damage with volume limits. Also, any software update for earbuds can be done via app. Battery life is excellent and up to 7.5+ hours of playtime for each earbud and total of 26+ hours playtime with the charging cases. The charging case can be recharged quickly with integrated USB-C charging cable provides an hour of playtime with just 10 minutes of charging. The noise cancelling feature works great in quiet and hybrid options. It can be used with ANC on, ANC off and Be Aware setting. It can connect two devices simultaneously and seamless transition from one to device to another device. I was taking a call in the laptop and switched without any issues to phone app in teams / zoom calls. The earbuds are IP55 rated featuring sweat and splashproof. The call quality is very good and ANC works amazing well in noisy environment. The 2 active cancelling mics help to ensure crystal clear calls and MEMS mic in each helps to eliminate background noise to ensure that voice is loud and clear on the other end. I have used to attend many office calls and everyone mentioned that my voice is crisp and clear. It is excellent earbuds with quality sound and amazing battery life.

JLab is a manufacturer that specializes in earbuds & headphones. Their target market is the customer who prefers maximum value, along with good performance & reliability. I own a number of JLab products, and have never been disappointed with any of them. In this review, I evaluate JLab GO PODS ANC, which are True Wireless Earbuds. JLab GO PODS ANC are attractive earbuds which offer everything you might want: hybrid noise reduction, make clear phone calls, and enjoy over 26 hours of audio. They include various gel cushion tips that provide a secure fit. I appreciate their light weight design; these earbuds do not fall out of my ears when I am active, like many more expensive, heavy earbuds do. Another plus that I admire is how easy it is to touch the center of the earbuds while I am on the go, to switch Noise Cancellation On / Off, Environmental Sound Awareness On / Off, Volume Up / Down, Track Forward / Backward, Equalization Change, Siri / OK Google, Answer Call, Hang Up, even Reject Incoming Calls! The free JLab App, available for iPhone & Android, is super easy to use to configure these earbuds. You can even customize equalization settings. Hybrid ANC is particularly useful: You can select Noise Cancellation, No Noise Cancellation, and Be Aware for safe listening to sounds in your environment. These earbuds are water resistant; they are rated IP55 sweat and splash proof. The charging case connects to any USB-C cable. Sound quality is good, with 10mm drivers and 4 Equalization sound modes selectable directly by touching the earbuds. CONCLUSION: JLab has released another winner with GO PODS ANC. Despite value pricing, they include every feature you would expect in much more expensive earbuds. They earn my recommendation as the best choice in value priced earbuds.

    Solid Little Earbuds

I've been using the GO PODS ANC True Wireless Earbuds for about a week now, mostly while mowing the lawn and getting in some workouts. For what they cost, they're actually a solid little set of earbuds with a few nice surprises—and a couple of oddball quirks. Sound quality is about what you'd expect. It’s fine, not amazing. Bass is definitely lacking, and when you flip on the BASS BOOST setting, it just kind of makes everything sound muddy. It’s trying to help but doesn’t quite land. Still, they’re good enough for background tunes or getting through a workout. The noise cancelling is better than I thought it'd be at this price. When music’s playing, I don’t notice much difference compared to some high-end buds I’ve tried. Now, if there's no audio playing, yeah, the difference becomes more obvious. The "Be Aware" mode is pretty much worthless—it flips on the mics so you can hear your surroundings, but it sounds odd and makes this weird Rice Krispies crackle every time I move my jaw, like the mic is picking up the bud shifting in my ear. Fit’s been great for me. I didn’t even swap the tips—they worked fine right out of the box. I usually prefer foam or harder plastic buds with no tips, but these lightweight rubber ones stay put just fine, even when I’m moving around a lot. The case is super compact and the built-in USB-C charging cable is a smart touch. It’s all very lightweight and, sure, kind of plastic-y, but I can’t complain considering the price. Touch controls are better than most cheap earbuds. You don’t have to be super precise, but I found that tapping the JLab logo works best since it’s textured and easy to find. All in all, these aren’t going to blow your mind, but they’re comfortable, compact, and do the job. Great for everyday stuff like yard work and workouts. If I lived in NYC and rode the train every day I'd probably use a pair of these so that I didn't worry if I lost one on the ground! Not perfect, but a pretty good bang for the buck.

JLAB’s GoPods are a little bundle of joy. Offering light weight and good enough audio quality. These headphones speak well to JLAB’s current line up of audio gear made for the everyday person. I am currently using these headphones primarily to make phone calls. I can hear and speak well to others with lasting battery life. Audio with my iPhone and Apple Music has also served me well. While not the highest quality they do sound great. The hybrid active noise canceling seems to also be good enough. While not a true active system it does block out must audible noises that would interfere with your audio. JLAB states the audio is lab quality and offer a variety of modes through their app. Listening to YouTube and dialogue in videos was effortless. The headphones fit me well with the ear tips already attached. Two different sizes are provided for small or larger ear canals if needed. The buds themselves feel well made and are mostly matte black. The buds also don’t feel like they will pop out while I’m on the move which means a lot because most buds always pop out of my ear. The case is also matte black and is equipped with an interesting and fun cap that I can’t stop playing with. The case does not charge wirelessly but equipped with a USB C cable that is non removable. It’s great, plug and charge anywhere. The buds last up to 7.5 hours and the case provides up to an additional 18.5 hours of usable time. There was no accurate way for me to test this as I use the buds and pop them in their case to charge but I can say they seem to last. I would recommend JLABs to anyone. I think they are great versatile headphones, great for the office or for listening to all your audio needs.

Great ideas & features lost in mediocre execution

I normally love JLab audio products; they tend to punch above their weight class in terms of performance vs price, and indeed, there is reasonably wide range of capabilities packed into these budget buds: ANC, spoken voice prompts, customizable EQ, customizable touch controls, miniscule charging case with a built-in cable, and multi-device connectivity--all included for a supremely bargain-basement price. But are they worth your time and money, even the cost of entry isn’t that high in the first place? It pains me to say this, but probably not, at least based on my experience using them over the past couple of weeks. The buds themselves are nothing new or groundbreaking in the design department, with an AirPod-like stem sprouting out from the bottom of the driver enclosures. The colorway is all black which makes them relatively discrete for use in a professional setting if needed, with only minimal branding consisting of the circular JLab logo on each earpiece—the logos also double as touch controls. The driver housings behind the eartips are a bit bulbous and balloon outward a bit more than I would like…it made for a less secure and solid-feeling fit in my ears than buds with a smaller and more streamlined profile—at least for my ear’s anatomy. There are three sets of eartips included (S,M,L), each with a cross-shaped barrier across the openings to help prevent ingress of larger hunks of earwax and debris. The buds carry a surprisingly high (for the price) IP66 rating making them sweatproof and splashproof—although JLab’s own website ALSO indicates an IP55 rating. Bottom line, they’re probably going to be just fine for workouts and wearing in the rain regardless of which figure is actually correct. The charging case inserts are magnetized to hold the earbuds in place when they are resting in the charging slots, but the cover itself is of the snap-shut variety rather than being magnetic, too. The case features a single LED to indicate charge capacity and charging status. There are some great features packed in here, too, like a built-in USB-C cable, 10-minute charge for 1 hour playtime, and just a 2-hour full charge cycle…not bad. The touch control defaults were kind of all over the place and the combinations of left side/right-side taps and holds were not very intuitive out of the box. Fortunately, the Go Pods are compatible with the JLab app which allows you to fully customize each earbud’s control scheme (1-3 taps, and a 1 second hold). This gives you a variety of on-ear control options for volume, playback, ANC settings, tone control, voice assistant, and phone functions. Phone call quality was actually pretty good with clear reproduction on my end and reportedly easy-to-hear voices on the other, even when I was outside for a walk. There are several EQ presets available: Signature (U-shaped), Balanced (Flat), Bass Boost, as well as a 10-band custom setting of your own available via the JLab app. Finally, you DO get active noise cancelling along with a hear-through feature that allows you to remain aware of your surroundings without having to remove your earbuds. It all sounds pretty good up to now, right? Unfortunately, what looked impressive on a spec sheet just didn’t make it to execution with resounding success. I normally like JLab’s signature EQ for music and videos, but everything I could wring from these earbuds just felt a bit flat and thin. There was no zip to the highs and mids, and bass was anemic at best. I dialed up the Bass Boost setting which helped fill out the low end a little more, but it still lacked any palpable “oomph” of really deep, hard-hitting bass that you can feel. I think they’re perfectly serviceable for podcasts, talking head videos, light A/V duty, and probably a raucous workout in a crowded gym, but their musical presentation just wasn’t very impressive or noteworthy. Similarly, the ANC solution is effective at *attenuating* (not cancelling) noise, but it’s definitely nothing class leading. It’s a nice to have feature, especially at this price, and it did help deaden the background noise of a slightly busy office—just don’t expect any kind of inky black background that will cradle your head in a bubble of calming silence. Voices were practically unaffected by the ANC and hear-through had an almost distractingly artificial edge to it. In fact, when I tried going for a brisk walk, the hear-through setting devolved into an unpleasant stream of constant background static. That said, I will give JLab credit because activating the ANC didn’t have much of an effect on sound quality at all…that was certainly welcome and somewhat surprising given the low price. I had LOTS of trouble with the touch controls. The logo “buttons” on the earpieces are pretty small and provide no tactile feedback when activated. As such, I experienced a LOT of faulty button combos during use, and I almost NEVER got functions requiring a long button press to work reliably. BT connectivity was also troublesome at times. When out and about for a walk, just moving the phone from my hand into my pocket resulted in frequent BT dropouts and stutters. But honestly, one of the nicer selling points of the Go Pods—the USB-C cable built into the case—was also the most irritating for me. It was great that I never had to worry about finding/bringing a cable along, because what I needed was already there, tucked away into the charging case. But the cable is laughably short and there is no additional charging port on the case itself, so you MUST use the built-in cable at all times. This wouldn’t have been a problem except that nearly all of my USB-C chargers are not readily available…they are tucked behind furniture, sitting on the floor, or otherwise hidden from view. Your setup is probably much different from mine, but the only *convenient* charging port I had regular access to that could easily accommodate a little 1” USB-C pigtail was a laptop port. Fortunately, battery life was pretty good at about 5-6 hours, but a more flexible charging solution would have been appreciated. In the end, I personally could only recommend these buds to someone who isn’t very critical about sound quality, someone who just needs “something that works” for low-overhead listening like during commutes, workouts, or in an office setting, or, frankly, someone just looking for a pair of backup buds or something that won’t break the bank to replace if these get damaged or lost. If that sounds like you, by all means enjoy…others may want to look elsewhere for better performers.

A great upgrade of the GO series

The JLab Go Pods ANC is JLabs latest earbuds (as of this writing) that when I received mine, the Jlab app still does not have support for this earbud but can already recognize it. It took a week after I received them before the Go Pods ANC had support. That said, I already had enough time to evaluate this product. First, the build quality of JLab products are not exactly that robust. Most if not all their products have a plasticky feel and this is no exclusion. But do note that JLab is positioned as a budget to mid-level product. The Go Pods ANC fits the mid-level tier due to its noise cancelling features. But one thing to gripe on JLab due to its plasticky build is that touching them while wearing them gives you a scratching sound. This can be irritating sometimes. The earbuds themselves have the “tail design” though there is a “tailess” variant out there. The earbuds themselves provide around 7 hours of juice per charge and with the charging case, it can have a total of around 26-30 hours. Not bad at all but the good thing about it is the 7 hours per charge whereas other brands offer only 4-5 hours per charge. Over the years, JLab has been improving its sound signature. This is no exception. It no longer has that “boxy” sound commonly found the Go series. And with the addition of ANC, I would say this new ANC implementation is quite good. I did the “microwave” test and pretty much it did good noise cancellation. But I wouldn’t say it’s at the level of Bose, Sony and Apple, but it’s slowly improving every time. Also as I had described JLab’s positioning, it does not compete directly with the established brands. The main advantage of having the app, is the its customization notabley the EQ. Prior JLab has only EQ presets that you activate just by tapping the earbuds. With the app you can also have a custom EQ. The ambient sound features of this earbud is also quite good. And call quality has vastly improved compared to my older JLab Go Pods. And lastly, firmware updates can be made also through the app. Needless to say, the JLab Go Pods ANCis a great improvement over the GO series of earbuds. And even if it is not yet at the level of or marketed the same as JLabs top tier product, these earbuds are performing great. And for those budget conscious people out there, this is a high recommend.

I got a pair of these guys without any expectation. I held it in my hand, unfortunately the build makes me feel like they were low quality. There's alot of plastic, the case feels plasticy, so my gut was not expecting anything great. I was very wrong, and the build materials does a huge service to what these guys can do! The one and only thing everyone cares most about, but don't want to admit, is the sound quality. Yes, there's little features here and there that help make a product stand out, but the bottom line and let me get it out of the way, is the sound quality is amazing. I was NOT expecting anything stand out. Yes, it's still not perfect to an expensive high end earbud, but it gets pretty darn close, alot closer than I expected. MAYBE a slight muddle at the very low end and very high end, but still packs enough bass to make you enjoy the thumps and bright enough clears that you're not missing anything. The sound stage is a little tight, but what makes up for it is the noise canceling. I was not expecting this level of noise canceling, it worked great! It cut out ambient chatter, fan noise, washing machine, etc more than I expected and I was able to enjoy clear bright music, thumpy theatric movie bass, and clear voices in a busy youtube scene. Now for other nice features, the app was intuitive. Does not have 10 different stages of noise cancelling, has a very simple, transparent, active, and off noise cancelling. Let's face it that's good enough. I definitely recommend adjusting the equalizer to your needs / liking as with all audio equipment. The quality is much more appreciated after adjusting this. The battery never ran out, I was able to use this all day, I can't even quantify how long the battery is I can only imagine it's as long as it's advertised >20 hours. Finally the built in cable is great for my needs. I can see how it can be frustrating for people who are still using the older USB, but having a built in USB-C just makes it so convenient, albeit the cord is a bit short. I'm ok with that, I'd rather have a larger battery and a shorter cord. Overall I was quite shocked at the performance of the noise cancelling, the value this little guy brings to the table. I highly recommend it!

Good ANC Earbuds, USB C Cable Case, Mixed Comfort

I own a few JLab products these days (keyboards, webcams, mice) and they strike a good balance between value and performance. The JLab GoPods ANC are a budget set of ANC earbuds, and are good value if you want some good value ANC earbuds with very good sound, and advanced customization via an app. Comfort wise though, it was mixed. They just didn't feel right in my ears, but my partner loved them - so giving them 3/5 because even after a couple of days, and testing multipe ear tips, just couldn't find the right fit. I also found the built in USB C charging cable in the case just a little frustrating - great on a laptop, not so good if you want to charge on your sidetable overnight. What's in the box JLab GoPods Charging Case with built in (short) USB C cable 3 Gel/Earbud Tips (1 is already fitted) Setup, is easy, remove the battery saver protectors in the case, pair to your phone (iPhone for me) and you're away. There is a JLab app, but there's no prompt to download it. I did search for it and install (free) and all of the features are available and not locked behind registration. Kudos to JLab for that. Music quality was very very good. I tested Spatial Audio on Apple Music and was surprised. Clear dynamic sound, good brightness and the right balance of bass. What's even better is you can tune the equalizers, something you normally don't get in the value headset range As for voice call quality, funny thing is as soon as I paired a friend of mine called who can talk the door off a barn. So really put them trhough their paces. Very good and clear audio quality, but I found the JLab Go Pods a uncomfortable about 15min in, these started a long experimentation over a few days to try and find the sweet spot. Testing different ear tips and listening environments (calls, music, etc). I just couldn't find the sweet spot, but sharing this with my partner - they tried them and were in love. I don't have unusual ears, normally a medium in ear tips and never had an issue before. The design of the JLab GoPods Pro may be the reason, they have a larger part that sits outside your ear canal, and the pressure got to me. I'm going 50/50 on this, because it feels like a me vs everyone issue. The ANC is good. I think it's better than other budget ones I've tried (could be that design). There's just a little more passive isolation that helps the ANC achieve a better result. They wouldn't necessarily drown out a jet engine, but the GoPods ANC are enough to take the edge of noise off a room - and sometimes that's all you need! On the other side. though, I thought the included USB C cable in the case was cool, but it soon became a little frustrating. It's too short to charge easily on your nightstand, great for a laptop USB C port. Maybe if I owned an Android phone that charged other devices via its USB C port, this would be cool What is great though is the JLAB app. No registration, quick to pair to the GoPods, and you can customize everything - button taps, equalizer, etc. This is not common for this price point, and JLab should be applauded for making a good easy to use app. Overall though, where do I land out of 5. I'm going for a 3. I really wanted to give a 4, but given the comfort issues I experienced and the USB C charging cable that is cool but also frustratingly short (which you could also charge via regular USB C) the JLab Go Pods ANC have great potential but fall just a little short.

The JLab GO Pods ANC earbuds deliver an impressive value for their price, offering a solid mix of convenience and customization—though not without a few quirks. What I Like: • Dual Device Connection: Switching between devices like your phone and laptop is smooth and effortless. • Compact Case with Built-In USB: Super portable, with the bonus of never needing to search for a charging cable. • Fast Charging + Google Fast Pair: Quick to juice up, and almost instant pairing with Android devices. • Voice Feedback: I really appreciate the spoken status updates—makes it easier to know what mode or setting I’m in without needing to look. • Wash-Tested Durability: They survived an accidental run through the washing machine while inside the case and came out perfectly fine. That was a pleasant surprise. Could Be Better: • Battery Life: I consistently got only 4–5 hours of playback or call time before needing to recharge. • ANC Performance: Works okay indoors, but it wasn’t effective at canceling louder outdoor noise, like my tractor while mowing. Other earbuds have done better in this area. • Sound Quality: Clear enough for talk radio and calls. Music sounds decent with ANC on, but flat and bass-light with it off or in Be Aware mode. Definitely not a pick for audiophiles. • Fit During Workouts: Secure enough for casual use, but they didn’t stay in place when I was moving more intensely. JLab App Features: The app offers thoughtful customization: you can adjust the EQ, set interval timers, remap touch controls, toggle ANC modes, and enable safe hearing options. There's even a sleep timer and ambient soundscapes feature that could be perfect for bedtime listening. I also liked that you can switch between music and movie mode. (low latency mode with some innovative sound enhancements) Final Verdict: 4 out of 5 stars. For everyday use, they offer a lot of utility at a fair price. While they won’t blow you away sonically, their feature set, ease of use, and durability make them a strong contender in the budget wireless earbuds category.

JLab earbuds are tried and true. I’ve owned this brand before and I’ve enjoyed using them. The set up is very easy. Nothing out of the ordinary of course as soon as you get them, make sure it’s a full charge the charging cord tuck away within the case which is nice. The earbuds are fairly small. I have a problem losing them so once I use them, I put them away very quickly, but I also choose to place them on my desk or on the table never in my purse. The sound quality is fairly decent nothing extravagant no matter how far you push them inside your ear. The sound quality won’t change. Depending on what type of music you listen to You will get decent highs but if you like hip-hop music, you won’t get very good Lows. I feel like these would be a good set of workout earbuds to where you won’t get too upset if you lose them and it won’t be a huge out-of-pocket issue. Overall again J lab is a really good brand and I’ve used them before. No issues with set up And using them with my phone is super easy.

I am always pretty skeptical when any audio product comes in at a super low price and claims to have ANC. Especially when that price is less than what I’d spend on dinner at a fast casual restaurant. I don’t know how they did it, but JLab has created a set of ANC earbuds in the Go Pods line that lives up to everything I would have thought and then completely swings above its weight class with the big names. Props for a simple pairing process that both my laptop and phone picked up on instantly, as well as a useful app that lets you tune the EQ across 10 bands and change up the touch controls if you wish. When I tell you that the ANC on these Go Pods is quite powerful, it’s kind of an understatement. I live on the final approach lane for a major airport and I’m used to jets flying at low altitude right over our community. I sat for a while with these on and no music playing just to test. I could hear my own thoughts for once during the workday, and that’s when I knew I was hooked. Now for this price, there’s always gotta be a little compromise. I don’t think the case would take more than a drop or two, so I would say be careful where you put them. Then again; at this price if you break them 5 times you still are lower than what I paid for my last set of higher end earbuds.

If you’re familiar with jlab earbuds these sound about the same quality as other models in the same price range. Anc is decent but put to the test in very high noise you can hear weird frequencies(what I’m assuming is the earbuds trying to cancel out noise). But mostly okay for casual listening. And never had a problem with battery life.

Pretty decent for the price, good quality, does not fall off during workouts.

These earbuds have the great quality expected of JLab, along with a couple of extra features. The movie mode allows for decreased latency, which helps with syncing the screen and audio more. Be Aware mode allows you to hear the outside world with both earbuds on. One note about the noise cancelling: it's more environmental noise cancelling. You can still hear people talking, but it seems to block out sounds more instead. Other than that, they are pretty great!

For the price, they exceed expectations. Great audio that was similar to the beats pods I bought back in 2021. If you want a budget friendly pod set for mid-tier pods, this is it! I love the equilizer and noise canceling option. The noise canceling does not have any annoying hum like other models do. I use these daily at work and enjoy that I don't hear my coworkers with these on.

Overall earbuds are comfortable to use and have good sound quality. Only thing that can be a bit better is the battery life.
