Good Price/Performance Choice
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a low-cost, but full function set of earbuds. The package includes the charging case, the earbuds and 3 sizes of rubber inserts fo match your ears plus the Quick Start Guide. I did find the correct insert for me and these earbuds fit very comfortably and gave me no ear pain at all - great. They curled right into my ears and seated well for jogging or cycling - nice. Charging was simple using the charging case, however the case has a little one inch pigtail with the male USB C plug instead of a female port. This is a bad design. Usually you already have cables of various lengths to reach your car plug or a bedside cable etc. Now you need an adapter to plug your longer cable in from the charging port to the JLAB charging case. The correct design is a female charging port on the case, JLAB needs to fix this. Functionality is very comprehensive including cell phone functions, music play functions and volume controls. The buds connect and reconnect easily to phone or laptop. Also the buds have very nice voice prompts when you put them on for Bluetooth-connected and the charge level. The app is very helpful to add customized equalization or canned equalization setups, to select movie or music mode and has a chart of the layout to remind you of the 'button functions'. I did find the use of the buttons on the buds to be cumbersome. It may just take some getting used-to, but the buds didn't seem to register each touch smoothly. I would try to up the volume a couple notches and nothing happens or else the buds thought I did two taps to Play/Pause. This may be me or else the designand sensitivity of the bud button is not quite right. The sound was average at best even when improved using the equalizer in the app. The noise cancellation was also just okay. However, overall based on price/performance I would recommend these buds for those who need a lower-cost pair of buds with a great charge-time and full functionality in terms of cell phone or music use.

Looks good, works great, and the price is right.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was surprised at how comfortable these feel on my ears, even after wearing for hours, I could almost forget that I was wearing them. I like the JLab ear pod brand, I’ve had a couple of different ones and they seem to work great. I was so disappointed when I lost one while traveling and excited to try these ones. I like that I was able to pair it quickly and easily with my phone and my tablet. It goes back and forth between them with no issues. The size is great for keeping in pocket or small pocketbook. Battery life so far has been holding up well. It says 26+ hours of playtime, the longest I’ve gone with using it without needing to plug in the case to charge was 24 hours which is great, especially for those times that I travel. I mostly listen to music, podcast and watch videos and of course, talk on the phone. The sound is clear, while talking on phone or listening. The app has many options for customizing and both ear pods can be controlled separately. It also offers a cool workout feature. I also like the way you can tap and control different options right on the pods. I’ve been using the 2 taps alot for Ok Google and the press and hold for noise control. Noise cancellation works very well! Even while walking in the niosy city with people talking, musician playing, etc, I could keep my phone conversation going. These offer 3 ANC modes, one includes Be Aware, which is pretty interesting. With this, I could clearly hear what’s going on around me. Kind of like the noise sounds amplified, I don’t think I would this mode very often unless I was walking in the woods or somewhere with not many people around me so I could be more aware of what’s happening around me. All in all, I would recommend this. It looks good, works great, and the price is right. The only thing I don’t love, is that I wish the cable for charging was just little longer.

Nice ‘Buds for the Buck
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The JLab Go Pods ANC earbuds are my go-to favorites. The earbuds are comfortable to wear for an extended time. They also stay in my ears, so I have never been concerned about losing them. I mostly use them for listening to podcasts while walking, and I can clearly hear voices and tonal ranges in programs even in moderately windy conditions. The app was easy to install and use on my phone. From time to time, I have had problems getting the earbuds to automatically sync with Bluetooth, but I have always gotten it to work eventually. The charger/case works well, and the compact, built-in charging cable snaps into the case and is easy to use. Although they may reduce background noise a little, I cannot attest to the noise- canceling abilities of these earbuds. I have not noticed much difference in ambient noise reduction when experimenting with various sound settings in the phone app. From my experience, the ANC seems to work a little better in environments with low ambient noise, such as a household or office setting. Otherwise, the JLab Go Pods ANC earbuds offer very good sound quality for the price.

Not a fan
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are good and bad qualities of the JLab Go Pod earbuds. The good thing is the attached USB-C charging cable, which allows you to charge them with your USB-C charger transformer. These earbuds utilize the Google Fast Pair protocol, enabling them to connect quickly to your device. The earbuds automatically discover your device. They have excellent sound quality and can be customized using the JLab app. The downside to these earbuds is that they have these handles that hang out of your ears, which makes getting a good fit a problem. Another issue is that charging is via two small contacts at the end of these handles, which connect to the bottom of the case. My experience is that the case does not hold the earbuds snugly enough to maintain contact if the case is not stood upright. I find that if I have the case in my pocket or gym bag, the earbuds lose charge because they come loose. I did a range test and found that I could not wander far from my cellphone without losing reception. Being dependent on the short, attached charging cable is inconvenient; I would have liked the ability to use my own USB-C cable or charge wirelessly.

ANC at this price + full sound + batt life = win!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a stranger to jlabs stuff so using these was a given for me. These provide an insane value proposition in what you get for the money more so than most in this type of product range. The fact that you get active noise cancellation for this type of money is so good it's almost not believable lol. Not only that but these have a "be aware" mode as well to maintain conversational awareness when needed which is very welcome. So the audio quality on these is great as expected. I'd prefer that they would have a higher max volume but they are respectable in not blowing your ear drums out while keeping a full sound unlike a lot out there. They fit well without any drama though it seems there is alternative ear pieces out there for these you could get if they don't fit quite right for you. Though I will say for long listening sessions the way they come stock do seem to create some fatigue. Thankfully my use is almost exclusively for workouts so it's a non issue for me but I will note with this that I've never had a pair of ear buds that aren't this way after some amount of time and for these being over a couple hours thats perfectly acceptable imo.

Has Features Every Earbud Should Have
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hybrid ANC Go Pods by JLAB, which are true. Earbuds, are an excellent pair of budget earbuds, and they do some pretty big things. The biggest thing that I am most happy about, and something I don't understand why more companies don't do, is the integrated charging cable into the charging case. Having this means that you don't ever have to have an extra cable to take up space. I have a very small kit bag that carries everything I need, and the less cables and everything, the better. The sound from the headphones is excellent, and the equalizer options in the app can help tailor the experience to your sound preferences. These feature noise canceling, which works well but isn't a feature I ever utilize. But they also have aware listing, which allows you to hear things going on around you, in addition to your music or podcast, making these much safer to use, especially if jogging or biking. State that they have a 26-hour battery life, which is more than enough for me. I charged them up when I got them, and then about a week later. I still have not recharged them. I use them for working out and going to the driving right. I have lost so many earbuds over the years, these are such a great option both because they are affordable, and because they are versatile. Highly recommended.

Flat sound. Good for meetings.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.tl;dr The JLab Go Pods ANC earbuds offer a decent sound at a reasonable price. The active noise cancellation (ANC) helps isolate the user a bit more, but is nowhere close to a premium experience. These did very well listening to spoken word audio (i.e. podcasts) and also have clear microphone pick ups. They would work nicely for conference calls at home or a quiet office. Music is lacking definition and color. Sound Quality The Go Pods ANC deliver a weak and unfulfilling sound. Volume and bass are no issue, but clarity and fidelity are missing. I would generally choose laptop speakers over these ear buds when listening to music. They are well balanced overall with all frequencies falling short of a satisfying experience. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) The ANC does a decent job reducing the impact of ambient sounds. It’s about as effective as Dolby B NR on an old tape deck. It’s a noticeable difference, but the noise is still there if you listen for it. The earbuds isolate well from the outside world. Comfort and Fit JLab includes a few different sizes of silicon ear plug. I found the default size most comfortable. I was able to wear them comfortably for around 30-40 minutes before they started to hurt my ears. It was enough to get through a 30 minute meeting while using these as a headset. I wouldn’t expect to go any longer, however. Battery Life and Charging Battery life was very good. Charging the case is easy, if you have an accessible USB-C port, such as on your laptop. While I appreciate the convenience of a built in charge cable, it doesn’t work well with my set up. The charger I typically use sits directly on the wall, leaving the earbud case dangling. The case allows charging the buds several times between charges. There’s a color changing LED which indicates when the case needs charging. Otherwise, it’s quite small and fits in my pocket easily. Controls and Connectivity Touch controls on the earbuds are nice, but were not intuitive to me. Pause requires multiple taps, but volume requires holding a finger down. It’s best to keep the instructions nearby until you’re completely comfortable with the earbuds. Pairing with devices is straightforward and maintains a stable connection. Overall Impression The true wireless earbuds market is very crowded. While these are feature rich for their price, I’d save up so you can get the full job of listening to music in addition to podcasts. Buds from brands such as Sony, Bose, or Jabra can be had in the $150 range, especially on sale. If you’re truly on a budget, I’d look into a wired set instead of getting these.

A Decent Product with a Glaring Flaw
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The JLAB GO Pods ANC earbuds is a decent product (for the price) - with a couple of glaring flaws. On the one hand, you have noise cancellation - on | off | and ‘be aware’ (which enhances ambient sounds). It also offers a great app with a selection of EQ settings, as well as the ability to customize the EQ. The touch controls are responsive and allow you to select EQ settings and ANC options along with the standard controls of play, pause, volume, next track, personal assistant, etc. The case is small, holds a substantial charge, and fits easily in your pocket. The JLAB GO Pods ANC also support dual pairing. All of this adds up to a good product - especially for the price. On the other hand … Audio quality is so-so (decent but not impressive). Ambient sounds were significantly audible even when ANC was activated. But, at this price, I’m not sure this would be a deal breaker. However, there are 2 frustrating things about these earbuds: In fairness, the first issue may just be me. The case has a small, attached USB-C dongle (under 2”) that requires you to plug it into whatever appropriate USB-C charger you may choose to use. I find this very inconvenient. I have a few USB-C charging cables at various locations that I use to charge a variety of gadgets. Other cases I’ve seen have a USB-C port so you can simply plug the charging cable into the case - easy and convenient. This is irritating to me, but may not be an issue for you. The most glaring omission (and one that puzzles me) is this: There is no touch control option for causing the buds to go into pairing mode. When you first use them, they automatically go into pairing mode and are easily paired with your device. There are also instructions for how to establish dual-pairing. This requires you to pair with device #1, turn device #1’s bluetooth off, pair with device #2, and then turn device #1’s bluetooth back on. A lot of work, but ok. However, if you later want to pair with another device, you cannot simple put the earbuds into pairing mode. Instead, you’ll need to find one of the devices it has previously been paired with and disconnect it from that device’s bluetooth in order for it to be available to pair with the new device. That’s a hassle. For instance, I was in bed (in the evening) and wanted to use the earbuds to listen to a video on my iPad. But, since I could not simply put them into pairing mode, I had to get up out of bed, fire up my living room AppleTV and disconnect the earbuds from there so they would go into pairing mode for me to connect them to my iPad. What?! I did chat with JLAB support to see if I missed something, as there was no mention of a way to put them in pairing mode in any of the documentation. Unfortunately, the support person confirmed that there was no control option for initiating pairing mode. If you only intend to pair these with one or two devices, and you don’t mind the charging dongle, this may be a good value for you. For me, I would not recommend them because of these 2 issues - inspite of their value-pricing.

ANC With A Few Compromises
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound that these produce is passable, but you won't be completely satisfied if you're used to listening with expensive earbuds. There really is no way to block all the sound necessary for ANC to work because the lack of customization. The fitment options arent there with thease either. I could see picking these up for up almost disposable use. Like when you need to hop on a plane and you need noise canceling headphones, and you don't want to buy more expensive versions. There is definitely a market for these, but they are subpar when it comes to ANC and overall sound quality but you get what you pay for in this world. Call quality really suffered trying to use these on my phone for calls. The other party just could not hear me very well. This could be possibly be sorted out by some firmware updates in the future. We will see. The build quality is actually pretty good considering the price point. Honestly, its pretty amazing to be able to get Bluetooth earbuds this good at at this price point. Sure, you can get better sounding buds, but when you're just trying to get the job done, it may not be worth 5 to 10 times the cost to pickup a higher tier.

Descent for the cost - mostly indoor headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are good for $30, but not amazing. It's great that they have active noise cancelling, but it's at about 70% of what you'll find on more expensive headphones. It also isn't the best functioning, as sudden noises will not be cancelled and will result in the ANC popping in your ears. There is also an odd effect, I'm guessing based on the location of the microphones, where adjusting the position in your ear results in this odd whistling sound which can be uncomfortable to painful. The audio on these is decent, but nothing amazing. There does seem to be a little dip in the volume of mid-frequencies, and a little muddiness in the lows, but these are quite inexpensive with ANC. When using these for calls, the audio that the other end hears is also just OK. Some words will not be clear, but these are serviceable. I tried running in these, and found that they didn't particularly stay in well. This can be problematic with the aforementioned whistling sound... The battery life is as advertised. Good for indoor listening and blocking out routine sounds like dishwashers and air conditioning.
