I was very curious to these new JLab Go Pop earbuds for those moments where I did not want to use my higher end models. At first glance, I was surprised at how small the case is, as they really do fit in the palm of the hand. Once you open the case, you have your standard sized earbuds. It comes with a few different sized ear tips, but I settled with the ones that were already on (medium sized). They fit nicely in my ears and they don't feel like that they would fall out during any strenuous workouts.
Setting them up was rather effortless and they paired with my smart phone easily. I also downloaded the app to take advantage of other features for my listening. There are three different EQ settings for your preferences.
I knew that these were not going to be superb sound quality, but they are very decent. It has decent bass sounds but they also sound very tinny. It does not provide a full sound so it was somewhat frustrating at times when trying to listen to podcasts compared to my kpop tracks. Trying the ANC was a good feature as it did drown out some of the background noise but still gave me enough to hear around me. When running I can still hear the traffic going down the street while still being able to hear what I was listening to. They are IP55 so somewhat resistant to sweat, dust and mist. I like that it has decent battery life lasting for about 5.5 hours with mixture of ANC on and off.
The case, again really small, was somewhat problematic. I like the clear purple case, and it has a charging cable to comes out from the bottom. This is the only way that it can be charged which is annoying, but typical to other JLab buds I've had in the past.
Overall, these are very decent earbuds for low cost. The color is unique, and it does offer decent ANC quality on the cheap.
