    Casual Gamer Earbuds

These are not my first JLab Audio earbuds. But they are the first gaming earbuds I’ve tried, specifically slated for use with a mobile device - cell phone and tablet. Right out of the box I was pleasantly surprised. The charging/storage case looks simply awesome! It’s shaped kinda different. Not just square or round or oval. And there are cool gaming graphics printed on its matte exterior. Really gives the case that extra ‘something.’ Plus, the case is small and portable, easily tucked into a purse or backpack, or even your jeans pocket for gaming on-the-go. Now pairing both earbuds to my phone was just a wee bit tricky, at first. But after turning off Bluetooth and starting over, as per what the handy included instructions (read them) explain step-by-step, I got it figured out and we were ready to game! The (standard) simple straightforward controls found in the Quick Start Guide, are easy enough to remember, too. Something which stood out to me was the ability to switch from ‘Music’ to ‘Gaming Mode.’ I did notice the difference in how the sound came through the earbuds. Another feature worth noting is the self-explanatory ‘Be Aware’ which you can turn on or off, depending on how tuned in or out you want to be while gaming or listening to music. While chatting I could hear and be heard just fine. There didn’t appear to be any noticeable delay or lag. And these JLab Audio Gaming Earbuds are super comfortable! I literally could wear them for hours and not experience any of the discomfort I have with other in-your-ear type of audio devices. They stay put in your ears, too, having tried them out while dancing around my house for an hour or so. My only ‘Con’ regarding these earbuds, was that the audio seemed muffled, not crystal clear as advertised. The “clarity” just wasn’t there for me. There was some range of depth, but it didn’t blow me away. The richness of background ‘noises’ and ambient sounds really seemed lacking, which didn’t allow me to be as immersed in my games as I’d have liked. You’re definitely not going to get the same experience as you would from a full-sized headset with these earbuds. So keep that in mind. But they do what they were designed to well enough. As with a couple of the other JLab earbuds I own, there is a short charging cord attached to the case, so you don’t have to worry about losing it or searching for one to use, which is convenient. Just need the USB plug-in. I really do like that feature. And getting back to a full charge took a reasonable amount of time, pretty fast really. The advertised “30+ hours of total playtime” seems accurate. The price is certainly fair for what these are. I just feel there could be a wee bit of improvement with regards to sound quality. Overall though, I can definitely recommend these JLab Audio JBuds Air Play Gaming Earbuds to anyone who enjoys gaming on their mobile device.

At this price point, these headphones are hard to beat. These are identical to the Executive True wireless with a few minor changes. There is what they are calling a "gaming mode" which is a low latency mode. Unfortunately I didn't notice any difference in games or music whether I used gaming mode or left it in music mode. Overall I like these headphone because I am a huge fan of the Executive true wireless. I use them all day at work, which is a noisy auto factory, and the C3 microphones are the best I've come across. Most of the time people are asking me to repeat myself or call back when I get to a quieter place, but with these people are able to easily hear me, and I can hear them, in stereo I may add. I've notice a lot of wireless headphone only playback phone calls in one ear, and to have the voice in both ears is huge for me. Sound quality is very good at this price point. There is no app, but everything is easily accessible through the buds. Everything is contained in the case, meaning there is no charge cord to carry around. All you need is a USB port. I can attest to this setup being durable considering I've used this exact setup with the Executives 5-6 days a week, 9 hour days, for months and have had zero issues with them. Battery life is pretty much dead on. One thing to note is that the volume of these are a tad less than I am accustom to, which may be a reason why the battery life is so good. I have recommended these to co-workers and they have praised them for how well they work in a noisy factory. Things I like: 1.) C3 calling 2.) All in one case 3.) Battery life Things I don't like: 1.) Volume is noticeably less than other wireless headphones 2.) No App

This is my first experience with JLab. As we continue to work from home, needed an affordable set of earbuds so that my breaks for iPad gaming sessions don't disrupt my partner. The JLabs AirPlay Gaming is a surprisingly decent set of wireless earbuds for mobile gaming. In the box you'll find the Jlabs AirPlay Earbuds, they're in a rechargeable case with the USB cable built-in, 3 pairs of earbud tips, and an instruction pamphlet. There are also tips already installed on the JLab. Fit and comfort-wise, I found the medium-sized tips worked best for me. The pairing was easy. Voice prompts, clear, easy to understand. I tested on an iPhone 11 (works) and also a Windows PC. (works). You can, in my tests, use an earbud independently. So you don't have to have both in at the same time. Audio quality was more than good enough for the price. These are primarily gaming earbuds and Fortnite mobile was not a problem, no lag, good audio, clear sounds. I also tested with Spotify for casual music listening they are more than capable (has a bass boost, which is recommended). I did some test voice calls and the quality was flawless. There are different EQ settings you can access by tapping on the side of the left earbud (right earbud taps are for answering calls, skipping tracks, etc). The instructions on the tap sequence are in the box but also printed on a flap of the box. One observation about the case is that it has gaming designs all over it. The design is subtle and I actually like it. It's not as bold and noisy as the photos on Best Buy or their website makes it look. One of the things I like about the JLab AirPlay is that the charging cable is built into the case. Super smart move. It's a short cable, so best to charge off a computer. I honestly prefer this to yet another cable to lose. The real-world use time of the earbuds is about 6 hours. You get 30 hours in total by recharging them in the case, so use it 1x and then 4x more recharges. 6 hours before recharging is more than enough for mobile gameplay. Tip. Reading the little instruction pamphlet, you can get 3 months free Tidal on registration of your JLabs. Was a nice bonus surprise. They also have an incredible 2-year warranty. Overall, good wireless gaming mobile gaming earbuds

these sound horrible and the control method, if you can call it that, is non functional. I can't get them to respond to any physical input as the "touch sensor" doesn't exist. 3 hours of testing and im done trying. I will be returning these in a day or so.

First and foremost I am huge on sound quality! I listen to a wide range of music from rap and hip hop..to techno and house music, to country or classic rock. I wanna hear crisp clear sound with nice deep rich bass and these hit the mark! There's not much that hasn't already been said about these as far as specifications so I'll speak on personal experience. These are extremely comfortable with the soft covers they include. Feels like there's barely anything in your ear. IT closes off the ear so you hear the music and no outside background noise. The different settings for whatever you're going to use these for whether it be gaming.. or phone calls.. or music give the listener the choice for exactly what suits them. I love the case that is a 2-n-1 also being a charger with the usb attached so you don't have to worry about carrying or losing the cord. These are by far my favorite new toy to take with me on the go to listen to my music when I'm inside working or at a docs appt bored out of my mind haha Would highly recommend these to others

I've always had dedicated headphones for gaming, but never thought about dedicated earbuds for mobile gaming. Sure the one your phone may come with works, but you want optimal sound for your intense mobile gaming sessions, especially shooters where listening to footsteps is important. As for looks, they're nice looking but nothing out of this world. I like that there are different tips but earbuds have never worked well with me...they still typically fall out of my ear but that's just me. Overall it's still less pressure on the ear compared to headphones that I can only wear for so long. The style of charging is similar to other bluetooth earbuds nowadays where it has its own case. Great product that's under $100!

    Maybe JLab's Best Earbuds?

So, I have a number of different JLab earbuds in our household (Air, Go Air, and Executive). Using these Air Play buds just for a short time, I think they are the best of the bunch! They check the boxes for all the key features and the cons of the other 3. +Very good mic (Air and Executive were poor) +Does't fall out when working out (Go Air has that problem for me since no cush fin) +Can you EITHER the left or right independently (Air and Executive could not) +Tap controls instead of press button controls (Air had press) +Excellent sound for music (Go Air is a little tinny) Most comparable to the Executives, but with a gaming mode which seemed fine on a few iPhone games. And to me sound better and a better mic. Anyway, I think these are the best of the bunch! I also like the Be Aware mode (which is like transparency) for some situations, but it does over-enhance some sounds.

I will make it quick for all you review skimmers. Great battery life (both earphones and case) Great design (both earphones and case) OK sound (signature sound is only one worth using, The other 2 are bad) Great Range with bluetooth Switching from game to music back to game is easy as a touch to earphone. Now the bad things: no matter which earphone earpiece I use, I can not get it to stay in for very long. About a few mins of head moving and they fall out. charging case is thicker than other brands, and you can not just drop them in as they will need a push to get them seated fully. Also it comes with a attached charging cable so it that is broken you can not charge your device. earphones are extremely sensitive, so just putting them in your ear will change settings, volume, or even turn them off. So they are not bad earphones, but I would not get them again knowing my issues.

For the price, these are amazing value!! Keep in mind they are made specifically for mobile gaming. I tested with Modern Warfare. The separation of sound and the chat feature are perfect for mobile gaming. The only disappointment was the “enhanced bass”. If you already have pricier buds, these are weak on that front. However, the hardware aspect of these trumps many higher line models. For example, you can tell at a glance whether each bud is charged or charging. There are three sets of adapters made from different materials to ensure a good fit. Even the shape of the case is thoughtful. It slides easily into a pocket simply because there are no hard corners. The buds themselves are tiny and black (prevents the white toothbrush look) very comfy. I enjoy using them for MW and spoken audio. Would not use for music unless in a real pinch!

These earbuds are easy to use and convenient. The USB charging cable is built into the case. They can be used together or individually, and they have about a 6-hour playtime with an additional 24 hour time with the recharging case. Music and books on tape sound great and phone calls are clear. They have dual microphones and have auto on and connect. Touch sensors control all functions including the EQ functions of JLab Signature, Bass Boost, and Balanced. They come with 3 different size earpieces and a set of memory phone. They have what's called a "Be Aware" function that allows outside noises through for safety.

The JLab Audio - JBuds Air Play Gaming TW Earbuds, Black - Black is able to produce great sound for music and gaming. Pairing to my phone was as easy as to press and hold the earbuds touch sensor for three seconds. At first, only one earbud had initially paired, but after following the troubleshooting instructions for not pairing, both earbuds connected. All of the listed fuctions of the JLab Audio - JBuds Air Play Gaming TW Earbuds, Black perform as stated. Tapping the right and left touch sensor performs all of the functions. EQ settings focus on different sound modes such as signature, balanced and bass boost. I really could not differentiate any change in audio from music mode into gaming mode. Both modes sounded great regardless of whether I was listening to music or gaming!
