They don't block out all the external sounds, but that was not what I wanted anyway.

I've been listening to these headphones with my Android phone and they look and sound great compared to SONY. The sound quality of these JLab headphones is excellent. They look like they can last for quite sometime, too. I'll definitely get this brand again.
