I gave up using "gaming" head phones because so many lacked the quality of mid/high end headphones. So I had to give up the mic. I tried clip on and they just got in the way with two cords dangling from my neck. Next option, dedicated mic. To be fair I have 0 experience with any microphone other than those built into headsets prior to the JLab Talk Go but this microphone is sweet! The sensitivity is pretty accurate at capturing sounds, sometime a bit too accurate since it can grab some of the background noise also. You can easily switch from direction to omni directional with a press of a button. I didn't find the stereo separation that good. Maybe I was doing the test too close to the mic. Honestly the stereo sound isn't a big deal for me. It has an onboard headphone jack. The jack allows you to hear both your PC and monitor your own voice. I'd suppose this would be useful for streamers and such. I really don't know how to utilize it properly so I just use my Sound Blaster's headphone jack. I have to say that this is an impressive mic for just $50. If I end up smashing this by accident, which would probably be tough since it feels pretty solid, I wouldn't hesitate to grab another. This handles all the microphone tasks I need.

It's good only if you want it for friends video chat.

Tried to do online appointment to assist my Mom with her doctor however equipment did not work properly. They could hear us but we couldn't hear them. Had to return.

Does not work with zoom! Got this to improve the quality of the sound for a live stream but it caused a lot of static. Fine for voiceovers in certain applications but limited for the price.

I was anxious to try out the TalkGo microphone because I do a good amount of recording and had been having background noise issues. I currently use a "Snowball" mic and because my desktop computer is fairly loud, plus I have a rather noisy printer near the mic, I would always have this humming in the background. My software is capable of filtering out the noise, but it was bothersome. I connected the TalkGo microphone and tested it a few times. I forgot to shut down the noisy printer the first time, but had recorded using the "Cardioid" feature on the mic. The sound quality was amazing and I did not even have to filter out any background noise from my desktop. The set up was easy. I really like that the controls are on the front of the mic and that the head swivels easily on the stand. The Cardioid vs the Omni recording modes are great. Make sure to follow the quick start guide and point the mic in the correct position. I am very impressed with this microphone and look forward to recording with it.

The product I received looked and felt new. I was excited about the plug and play functionality when I got this microphone, however it did not power on when I plugged it into my laptop. Must've been the specific unit that was in fact not new or functional and shouldn't have been allowed in stock. I really wanted to be able to use this product, but this experience has steered me away from buying it itself, and from buying at the same Best Buy location again. The only upside: I was given a full refund.

The item did not work. The volume button was broke when I purchased the item. As of today, haven't had a chance to return and or get another microphone.

Made terrible echoing feedback. Tried various locations around laptop. Finally had to turn laptop off just to stop loud squelched noise.

It's nice for the price of course the background noise is heard and my son liked it for the 2 weeks he had it and bought a new mic

The 3 first months worked great but now my pc windows i7 processor just stops working once I plug the microphone

The JLab Audio TALK GO Plug & Play Microphone is a great mic given the price point. Setup is super simple and within a few minutes, you will be up and running. The mic connects via a USB-C to USB-A cable to your computer and greatly improves the sound quality being sent to the device. You can also use an adaptor or different cable to use the mic to record to your iPad or iPhone seamlessly. I use the mic for conference calls and others have commented on how clear I sound. The controls on the mic are easy to use and the colors shown by the mic make it easy to understand what mode you are in. Overall, I recommend this mic for conference calls, sounds recording, and podcasts. The sound quality, features, ease of use, and price make this mic a must have.

A disappointment. Not bluetooth compatible as salesman told me. Returning.
