The band's tenth studio album doesn't disappoint. The kings of Viking death metal return with a brilliant concept record telling a captivating story. First Kill is one of the band's best songs and with Hegg's growling vocals, this makes for a top 3 Amon Amarth album, for sure!

Album was on sale last week for a good price so I decided to take the plunge - the reviews for the album were spot on, the album is great. Will be a great addition while running or going to the gym. My two favorite tracks are: Raise Your Horns, The Way of Vikings, and A Dream That Cannot Be.

This album flat out succeeds in every way. Amon Amarth has always delivered a quality product, and this album is no different. Offering a very consistent sound throughout, this album is roughly forty minutes of the most headbang-able riffing on the market. Raise your horns!

First off I want to say that this was my first death metal album purchase and man what an album. It kicks some serious butt. Love the whole Viking theme of the album/group. A few highlights of the album include Raise Your Horns and The Way of Vikings. Highly recommended.

This is yet another great album from Amon Amarth. It's aggressively heavy and the vocals are immensely powerful. The deluxe version has a superb hardcover booklet case and an exclusive track, so it's well worth the extra few bucks compared to the standard jewel-case CD.

I'm glad I grabbed a copy of the deluxe edition of Jomsviking. I had doubts on the album since I wasn't a huge fan of Amon Amarth. Now I'm considering this album as one of my favorites. Great lyrical themes and beautiful artwork on both cover and booklet.

If you like Amon Amarth, you will love this album. They do not deviate from the sound, but decided to do a concept record. Also, you cannot go wrong with guest vocals from the great Doro Pesch! Oh, and the artwork in the booklet is amazing.

Amon Amarth continue to do what they do best! Jomsviking is classic Amon Amarth, but they do a bit to broaden their sound as well. It's a fantastic album, that is one continuous story. If you like Amon Amarth just buy it.

After seeing these guys in concert, I developed a new appreciation for their style and power. This album has some of the most intense rhythm parts and massive riffs. Front to back, pure awesome.

Fair... but not as good as previous effort.

This is a fair album. Not a step up from Twilight of the Thunder God. No vocal variance. Sounded like a step back to their older stuff. Like Avenger. Song w/ Doro chick good. Otherwise, just another "standard" release from these guys. Needed to be heavier and more furious. Same vocals for a decade don't help any. Though the songs had good Viking concept s/themes.

This is a great album and I like it more than the last album they came out with because it tells a story about the adventures of a mercenary. Strong guitar and great lyrics, I love it!

Very heavy typical Amon Amarth! They threw a few new catches in this one!! I've listened to it like 10 times, and it gets better each time I listen to it!! It's one of their BEST!!!

AA are still bringing much energy and sonic quality to each album, and this one is right there with them. They upped their melodic spectrum and sacrificed nothing in the process.

This is a really good concept album from Amon Amarth. This album also has a duet with Doro Pesch. If you want to hear a viking story put to music , this is for you.

The Vikings are back with another strong release. Nothing earth shattering but more of the same great tunes we have come to love from them.
