I heard that this sequel was better then the first, I would go that far but it is just as good, and the first was Great, so is this one.

I’m a super fan of Mr Johnson it’s a very funny movie me and my brother really enjoy this movie

For part two, is was good. It was action packed and funny. The charters did a great job

Good movie. All family members enjoyed it and we will be watching again.

The films starts a couple years into the future where the group (Spencer, Fridge, Bethany, and Martha) have been living their lives away from each other but plan a reunion for brunch over the holidays. Spencer who is struggling with his mental health ends up no showing, resulting in the group going to his house in search of him only to find Spencer’s grandfather Eddie (DeVito) and his former business partner Milo (Glover). The adventures begin when the group hears the game playing from the basement. Realizing Spencer is in the game, they agree they must help him, only things don’t go as planned as the game is partially broken resulting in different avatars and Eddie and Milo entering the game instead of Bethany. This also helps to set up the jokes and amusing dialogue throughout the movie. This time they must recover the jewel from Jurgen the Brutal and show it to the sun in order to win the game, all while teaching Eddie and Milo (now played by Hart and Johnson) the ins and outs of the game. Characters swap bodies during the game, new game items, new skills, new dangers in animals and human form, and yes some heartfelt moments or cheesiness (whatever you prefer to call it). Once the game begins, the action starts and is pretty much non-stop. I’ll leave it at this due to spoilers but will say in the credits, there’s potential for another movie (they better do it right if they are going there). Regarding acting, Hart absolutely nailed the part. Don’t get me wrong, they all did great, but Hart shines (anyone who’s a Glover fan will know what I’m talking about).

so so funny the actors were excellent and the plot so funny

Jumanji: The Next Level (JTNL) continues several months (I believe it is 10) after the end of the first reboot of Jumanji. This time things have a slight twist as some characters find their personalities in different bodies then the first movie, where they were able to choose a character. This adds great amusement to the fun, as does the addition of some new, unintentional, gamers. There are surprises and laughs, serious and touching moments and tackling of some of life's most difficult problems (death, broken friendships and love). If you loved the first two (Robin Williams version and the remake), you will love JTNL as well.

Superb acting throughout! It is hard to equal an original due to the uniqueness which made that version a hit, however this one expounds on the qualities of the first and hits a homer...D'oh! The first showed some good acting as the avatars had to imitate their original characters, but this one takes that acting to an entirely new level, multiple times. It is fascinating to watch the actors facilitating each others mannerisms & ticks as the characters constantly change. To top the acting off, it is Funny! Jack Black deserves an Oscar; he is fantastic!

I recently bought a 4K Blu Ray player and bought this on sale to try out the player. The movie was fun - adding the "old guys" was a nice twist. All that said, it was not as good as the first IMO. While there were some nice new gimmicks, the flow was not nearly as smooth and the wrap up a bit too pat. Jack Black continues to amaze and rest of cast is good - but overall just not as good. As to 4K, I'd be hard pressed to see much difference between it and blu ray discs - I won't be replacing any of my collection (I did do that with several standard DVDs when blu rays became available, Future purchases will probably be 4K, but if price difference is significant, I'd not hesitate to buy blu ray.

I was a fan of the original story with Robin Williams but was skeptical about the reboot. The first one was great very entertaining and this one is just as good or better! The Rock is always very entertaining but Danny Devito is the surprise here. So funny watching the Rock do Danny Devito's grandpa in the game! Hilarious! Jack Black also always his funny self. Karen Gillan should be a bigger star by now! Definitely can recommend this.

This second installment of Jumanji is just as enjoyable as the first movie, but it could have been SO much better had they chosen to release it to home video in 3D. The movie was framed with 3D in mind, and while the 4K UHD presentation looks amazing, I miss being able to relive the full 3D theatrical experience. Details, color, and shadow levels are top notch. Dolby Atmos audio is active through all channels, placing the viewers solidly in the center of the action.

Oh goodness, where to start. The original cast is back not to mention the new characters Danny Devito and Danny Glover. They just added even better comedy! They are true legends, not to forget I love to watch Dwayne Johnson doing comedies. So much laughter with the entire family. 4k discs are the future and if you happen to own a 4k tv and player, the pictures are intense in this film. Better and better with these movies. We give it 5 stars and 8 thumbs up!!!!

The quality of this product is one of the best of any 4k disc I own!! Also, the Dolby Atmos sound is insane!! I literally felt like I was there with the characters. Of course, it’s a great, entertaining movie, also! Keep in mind, you need an Atmos-enabled device to get the full effect of this, but even without, it’s still a great quality with amazing sound effects. I hope more movies are made this way!!

It’s a sequel but it’s still worth watching. I really enjoyed the switch in characters for the avatars role play. Kevin Hart’s character was awesome and I really enjoyed the dialogue between him and the Rock’s character. The story is simple but the dialogue and humor was outstanding. There is a little more cursing by Jack Blacks avatar but it’s not that overwhelming. Overall I really enjoyed the movie, not as good as the first but still worth having a digital copy and disc. I thought the movie was worth the cost as this movie does have re-watchability.

If you liked the first remake episode, you should like this episode. Similar cast, but Danny DeVito and Danny Glover steal the movie with their natural and in Jumanji characters. Great interaction and character development. A little slow at first, but the tempo picks up and pretty much non stop until the end. 4k HDR graphics are absolutely great as well as the sound.

The two of us loved this movie (actually the both together). Instead of being inferior, this sequel was outstanding - funny, thoroughly enjoyable. The actors really do well playing their characters, and in this one, they even show their skills by getting to maneuver as alternate players too. Additionally, they layed a nice foundation for a future film too - I can't wait.

I absolutely adore the original 1995 film, and most of the time the remake thing just tarnishes it, so I was pleasantly surprised with the approach "Welcome to the Jungle" used. So, it wasn't a remake so much as a continuation. The same may be said about this "sequal to a sequal." It was well paced, and continued the story, with some great action pieces. Plus the fact that it was obvious that the actors were having the time of their lives making it.

It was a pretty good popcorn movie with excellent special-effects and the acting was very good as well. I would definitely watch it again. How ever, the 4K quality of the movie was liking The movie was made in 2k not 4K, this means that the movie tends to look less sharp and more hazy in different areas. In fact most of the Dwayne rock 4K movies are shot in2k in the movies I have seen look less Shart with a lot more haziness in the different movie scenes

It's hard to beat the first one, especially because that one was a new concept and you really didn't know what to expect. This one used some of the same concepts as the first, so in that regard had a slight element of re-use, but they made it different enough that it was it's own entertaining story line.

A little more confusing to follow than the first one, but the whole gang is back for round two! The 4k disc played flawlessly with excellent picture contrast and detail. Active surround sound during action sequences. Set included a blu-ray and digital copy in addition to the 4k disc.
