This Best Buy exclusive set comes with a John Constantine action figure and a mini-hardbound graphic novel. I was never a fan of the whole magic/mystic realm in comic books, movies and even in real life. This DC Universe Original Movie focuses on collecting several magic-oriented heroes with Batman as their official link to the Justice League. Even though, I used to read comic books of Swamp Thing, Deadman even Black Orchid in the 80s, I never really got into it. As a whole, it was still entertaining. Animation, voice acting, storytelling and bonus features continue to be first-rate.

I really like the idea of a Justice League that confronts Supernatural threats I was introduced to new characters like Zatana,Etrigan,and Deadman. On this team are also familiar characters like The Swamp Thing,Batman, and Constantine. A battle happens and your just going to have to buy this DVD to find out who wins. In this animated adventure you get the origins of these new characters at least new to me. For those that are a fan of the DC animated movies I suggest you buy this DVD. Shout out to Best Buy I used my reward to buy this DVD. Buy this DVD so they can make more movies like this I'm already waiting for the next Justice League Dark Adventure. I purchased the Blu-ray +DVD +HD Combo

This was perhaps and odd combination of characters with the Batman. Deadman, The Demon, Zantanna, SwampThing and Constantine (whom I am vaguely familiar with. It had its moments but it was not my favorite DC story.

This is a pretty good movie. I actually wanted it to be longer. Deadman sort of got on my nerves; I have rarely read of his exploits; didn't realize he is the annoying type. The plot was good ( I won't spoil it), the voice acting was good (except Deadman: nasaly), the animation was very good. I do wish there was more of the Justice League involved, instead of just 2 minutes. This was really more like Batman and the magic people than Justice League. I did like the portrayals of Constantine and the others (except Deadman). I enjoyed it and will probably watch it again. Not as good as Doom, or War, but, still good.

Not all superheroes are traditional. This cast of characters come from a darker, more adult, version of DC. Constantine, Deadman/Boston Brand, Etrigan/Jason Blood, Swamp Thing and Zatanna are not the most well known characters and are rarely even paired up, but bringing them all together in this feature works well. Black Orchid could have been given a more substantial part. For those 'meeting' these characters for the first time, there could have been a bit more character building, but nothing to take the focus off the story being told. I can see more JLD features coming out periodically. Disk and sound quality were good, if not spectacular.

The DCAU hit a rough patch for a while with some subpar films. These animated films are better than the DC live action films. This is no exception. It's great to see Matt Ryan reprising his role as John Constitine from the live action series on NBC and on CW' s Arrow and also the wonderful character Zatanna. It's great to see the supernatural aspect of the Justice League. Hopefully, we'll see more of the more obscure DC characters get the spotlight. The Phantom Stranger deserve a solo animated feature as well as the Question. The Swamp Thing adds to the creepiness of the film. All in all a pretty good entry to the DCAU Add this one to your collection.

It's not in the same league as Wonder Woman, Green Lantern FF, Batman Under the Red Hood, or TDKR, but JL Dark is a step above the mostly mediocre DC New 52 Animated Universe. Focusing on Constantine and a band of supernatural misfits is both fun and thrilling since DC can basically go all out and make a movie without too much continuity to bog it all down. I'd say they didn't hit a home run here, but they sure did score a triple. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to see the stranger and less capes and tights-side of DC (although Batman is technically in the majority of the film, so there's that).
