Customers highly value the sound quality, Bluetooth connectivity, and ease of use of this 6.8" in-dash receiver. Many appreciate the inclusion of features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with the option for a backup camera. While some users noted that the screen brightness could be improved, the overall experience is considered positive, particularly given the price point. The DVD playback functionality is also a frequently cited positive aspect.

Great product for great value.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product is awesome. Great sound. User friendly. Back-up camera is phenomenal and shows clear picture with lines to guide. Nolan, the installer, did a fantastic job in installing the product. The installation of the back-up camera was done in a way that it does not distract from the overall look of the car.

Not the best receiver
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a no frills receiver. When I first got it, it was really difficult to figure out the touch pressure. I eventually got used to it, but sometimes I still struggle with using the touch screen with the right amount of pressure. The Bluetooth keeps disconnecting. The CarPlay doesn’t work when I hook it up sometimes. I’ll have to unplug and plug it back in. I got what I paid for.

top notch sound, love the ANDROID auto and GPS
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is a top notch radio to upgrade to. the multiple interface with Apple and Android Auto make extremely simple, plug in your device the stereo does the rest. the GPS Waze if on point. And most importantly audio quality. It lives up to JVC and Kenwood high quality audio, with more then needed equalizer options. it gives you the ability to keep it simple or just down right tune every frequency range for the audio snob.

Does Not have HD Radio as stated on website
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Radio is working well. The only problem is the BestBuy website said it had HD/Digital radio. It DOES NOT have HD radio. Very unfortunate, that was one of the only reasons I chose this radio. Only found out it didn't have HD/Digital after I had it installed. :( Great Sound, Easy install, a lot of sound and video setting options. Front and Rear camera option on this radio

Upgrade from Factory is easy
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little complicated at first because of all the features. Really nice to have hand free phone availability. Great to have GPS screen ability with the phone plugged in. Music is really better than expected. Installed by a conscientious person was prompt and professional in store service. Need to figure out how to get the warning screen to not show up every time it’s turned on. That’s frustrating.

Decent deck for an all-rounder
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This head unit is decent if you're looking for a stereo with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay as well as Bluetooth functionality and the ability to play DVDs and CDs. It is a little on the expensive side, considering some of the newer JVC stereos have capacitive screens now for significantly cheaper, but it's not terrible.

Totally love this upgrade!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After years of wanting to upgrade my 2008 Ford Edge radio I finally went to Best Buy and purchased this, plus had them install it. The employees at my local store were super nice and helped me decide on this brand. I definitely wanted navigation but didn’t want to spend a good chunk on built in navigation. So apply car play was the main reason I go this! I use it religiously and I love it! It instantly connects through a usb cord. (I had to purchase an Apple brand usb cord since my regular charger I use for my phone wasn’t working) so I got a short cord that fits in the car. The display is awesome! No glare from the sun but also bright during the night so you can see! Con: the clock won’t set to my time zone. I noticed it as soon as the install was done. And I asked my Best Buy auto employee and he factory reset my radio and put it in my time zone in the settings. It still didn’t work and he said that it would automatically switch once I start using the radio... I’ve had it for about a month and still the clock is wrong. No matter how many times I adjust it in the settings. Not sure what to do about that. Pro: display, Apple/Android Car Play, sound. Con: clock won’t work..

Easy to use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loving the ease of the menus and hands free calling. The only thing that I would love to be able to adjust is the display backlight setting. At night the light of the screen is quite bright, especially during long (8 hour) rides the brightness of the screen tires the eyes.

Car stereo
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m enjoying my new stereo very much. The sound is awesome but I’m unable to get my set radio stations on my steering wheel which is disappointing. It can be tricky to manually change stations with gloves on. But overalls I’m very pleased and thrilled with my Bluetooth

Nice replacement for my 2011 truck
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is very nice to have Apple CarPlay in my truck now. The GPS is readable and the voice is in the speakers. It may not seem like much, but to be able see and hear directions from a large screen is great. The one thing that bothers me is incoming calls turn the radio and GPS off, I cannot find a setting that lets everything work at the same time. Outgoing calls do not disable the GPS though. I am happy with my purchase and Best Buy installed it in about 90 minutes.

CD Bluetooth touch screen radio JVC
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent stereo!!!! Car kit was 199.00 but completely worth it to be able to keep factory information display and microphone to do speak to text and to talk to Siri and answer calls on the stereo. Also included wiring harness and dash kit and backup camera. Altogether spent 500 for everything and it was worth it.

Nice radio
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed this in a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan. Installation was pretty easy (didn't want to wait for the Best Buy free installation appointment). Bought all of the wiring harness adapters, install kit, etc. from Amazon. Used Maestro unit to preserve steering wheel controls & tap into the ODBII port. The main reason I chose this unit was that I wanted Android Auto so that I could have in-dash navigation. Android Auto works pretty well on my Samsung S6, but keeps losing the connection with a Samsung S9. Still need to figure that out. I used a USB extension cable with a panel-mount USB port for a nice, clean installation of the AA USB port. Another cool feature of the radio is that it can display the tire pressures, open doors, DTC codes, etc. Also will display two screens of 5 configurable gauges. I was able to keep the uConnect USB port in the glove box for a flash drive of music as well as being able to use the radio's USB port for AA. I was also able to use the existing SirrusXM antenna with an adapter & the external SirrusXM tuning module and the existing backup camera (with another adapter). I did have some issues with phone calls where the sound wouldn't come out of the car speakers. This had something to do with the fact that the phone would pair to both the car (uConnect) and the radio. I solved this by deleting the uConnect pairing from both the phone & car and now just use the radio's phone features. These are the install accessories that I used: Metra 95-6511 Chrysler/Jeep DDIN 2007 Dash Kit Maestro ADS-MRR Universal Radio Replacement and Steering Wheel Interface Maestro HRN-RR-CH1 Plug and Play T-Harness for CH1 Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep Vehicles ADS iDatalink Maestro AVCH1 Audio Video Installation Harness for Chrysler Models with Rear Video or Backup Camera HRN-AV-CH1 Metra 40-EU10 Antenna to Radio Adapter Cable for Select 2002-Up BMW/Volkswagen Vehicles SiriusXM SXV300 Standalone Vehicle Tuner (Replacement-Antenna not included) Eightwood Satellite Radio Antenna Adapter Cable 6 inches Fakra Curry Code K Male to SMB Female Right Angle Compatible with Sirius XM Car Vehicle Radio Stereo Receiver Tuner BATIGE Square Single Port USB 2.0 Panel Flush Mount Extension Cable With Buckle for Car Truck Boat Motorcycle Dashboard 3ft

JVC isn’t KENWOOD
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this head unit 6-months following the comparable KENWOOD model which isn’t 100% touchscreen and I completely loved. The Best Buy associate advised this head unit would provide a nicer display, and unfortunately, it is very basic and doesn’t compare. From a performance standpoint, it’s a decent head unit, but in less than a month, it’s turned itself off at least twice. Stick with KENWOOD!

Good aftermarket system
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife wanted a backup camera for her Rav4 and this fits the bill. Also easily connects to her Samsung / Android smartphone so she has hands free capability. Software connection a bit wonky but works well once you get used to it.
