I have installed several different stereo systems into cars and had no problem with the installation process. I am not an installer by trade, but rather someone who can do something that should be as simple as replacing a stereo system into a car. This one was very difficult and didn't work. Looked like a good product, but I couldn't even try it.

Install and service were great - but this JVC receiver has some audio quirks - when used via Bluetooth or USB with my iPhone the audio volume gets reset to different levels when phone calls or navigation audio interrupt phone music or audio book play. JVC support was no help - now I am limited to using my Aux connection for phone audio

Bluetooth stopped working after 2 months of use. The radio constantly stops if I try to switch from my music to videos on my phone. Other than that it's just a basic stereo.

While this radio was very reasonably priced, the sound quality via the microphone when using Bluetooth is very poor, and the buttons are very small and hard to locate while driving.

In the first week of the radio it cracked when the a professional installer was putting it in the vehicle.. Did not want to take the time to return it... It still is working fine..

I had to return the system after 3 months as the Bluetooth stopped working on the radio. I had to get a totally different model.

Bought stereo & components at Best Buy in January and cannot get stereo installed by Geek Squad until mid-March, better off buying from local business and having it installed in a timely fashion.

This radio was great but it failed me after 2 years. I would get something higher end.

Only had it a couple of days, but the item is great. Not bad to install, but it's what it does that's really cool. Pairs quickly, address book lookup, voice dial, remote control. Will be back in about 90 days to update review

It's a Christmas gift not given yet too soon to rate

It's different days we're living in and CD's are going by the wayside. My son doesn't play CD's, rather he uses his smart phone library or streaming media services over bluetooth. It took us about 2 hours to complete the install including the microphone. The unit paired right away with his iPhone5S. Once paired, we made a few test calls. It pulled up recent call history & contacts so you could dial right from the deck without fumbling from your phone. We turned the car on and off a few times to make sure it, "Re-paired," and everything works great. There is a little latency, as I've noticed with every bluetooth product I've owned, but it's tolerable. Pandora and the rest of your streaming media are available and you can even skip songs using the fwd button right from the deck. When I was a kid in the 70's I paid more for a Sparkomatic cassette tape deck with no receiver so it's hard for me to see how you could complain about this deck and all its features at this price range.

I bought this radio to replace my 2001 boats old JVC radio. I wanted better reception and Bluetooth capability. This radio was east to install and works great. Good reception and Bluetooth works great. Plus the USB port also charges your phone.

My old JVC finally wore out after years of faithful service. I like to know what's inside: the 24 bit DAC, which is likely TI/ Burr-Brown like my previous head unit, and the blootooth transcoding are both excellent for flac and mp3. The included microphone, with cord long enough to rout the mic anywhere you want performs flawlessly. During hands-free phonecalls your music is politely interrupted, and an easily accessible bottom on the faceplate makes answering a breeze. Call quality is great, according to the folks I'm speaking to while maintaining both hands on the wheel. As always, I'm 100% satisfied with JVC.

My husband asked for this for Christmas and he must like it because he installed it the same day. I like the fact that he now has bluetooth in the truck so he can talk hands free just in case he forgets his earpiece.

1) If you load MP3 files onto a flash drive from a Mac, you must delete the hidden icon files or they will give you a "not supported" error. The JVC support center was no help at all in finding this problem. 2) The random play feature (USB flash drive) always restarts with the same songs in the same order when you turn the unit back on… which can be irritating. 3) The BT audio playback (linked to Android) will sometimes stop controlling the phone. 4) The phone must be turned on before you turn on the ignition. The phone will not link with the unit if the unit is turned on first.
