Customers commend the HAET45TH True Wireless In-Ear Headphones for their impressive sound quality, long battery life, comfortable fit, and water-resistant design. They appreciate the value for money and the secure fit provided by the ear hooks. However, some users find the controls complex and the micro USB charging port outdated.

The JVC HA-ET45T Sport Wireless (true wireless) earbuds are a well designed product made for sports and other uses. They pair easily with your smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth 5.0. The bass tone can really boom and all tones can be adjusted using the settings app on your smartphone device. These earbuds come with a solid plastic charging case that holds a charge of up to 10-hours while the earbuds hold 4-hours (14 hour total use capability.) Spare ear inserts (10 of variable sizes) and ear fins are also included in the box. The JVC earbuds are water resistant and come with removable ear hooks to keep them in place during strenuous exercise. They also are dust-proof.These are not noise cancelling earbuds and do allow some ambient sound in. They also are designed for voice assistant use with Apple or Android devices. All in all, I found the JVC HA-ET45T earbuds to be a solid product producing great sound while being able to stand up to tough exercise situations. For the money, these JVC earbuds appear to be a good value.

I've been using these truly wireless buds for about a week. I tested them at the pool and gym. They sound good, but syncing issues and constant disconnects made me give them a 3 star rating. With nothing but air in between my devices and the headphones they would cut in and out while playing music, or listening to a podcast. I also tried pairing the right earbud to one device, then the left one to another. That actually made the right bud completely unresponsive. I had to factory reset them both for them to sync together again. Overall, they sound good, and will stay in your ears. But for the price you can get better ones.

I love that JVC does absolutely nothing to hype the features of this product: the headphones arrive in a simple white package with just the facts about the device, and their website for the product pretty much does the same thing. Opening them up and using them for the first time you start to understand why: these are just a simple pair of headphones, nothing special, just headphones. The over the ear hook is exactly what my ears need - I've tried a number of other wireless earbuds and while my left ear holds them well nothing ever stays in place for long in my right ear. Odd but true. JVC calls this feature Dual Support where the shape of the earbud combined with the ear hook is marketed to hold the ear buds on your head. And it works great! They are comfortable and did not feel bulky in my ears. Also included are 3 sizes of ear fins, 3 sizes of ear pieces and 3 sizes of ear pieces: in short you can adjust all kinds of things to get them to stay in your ears. For me, they passed my body shake test: jumping jacks, touch the toes body bends, and finally followed up by the "wet-dog" head shake. These earbuds survived them all. Let's talk sound quality. I connected them to my Apple Watch Series 5 GPS and took them for a run using music I had downloaded to the watch. They sound pretty flat and weak, with almost zero bass. I turned to my running partner and shouted "these things sound like my walkman from the 80's" which is a far cry in sound quality from the other ones I've tried. But they held a consistence Bluetooth connection and never fell out of my ears. Let's be honest - do I really care for amazing sound when I'm out for a run? I don't. But these are definitely not the headphones I would be wearing with my primary music listening headphones. If you need a basic pair of wireless headphones you can't go wrong with these. Audiophiles should definitely look elsewhere.

I received the JVC Truly Wireless Fitness In-Ear Sport Headphones a few days ago and put them to work right away jogging and mountain biking. They are certainly designed to securely stay in your ears, with a dual system that includes 3 size ear fins (XS, M, L) and a removable ear hook that pretty much guarantees they will not fall off your ear (unless it interferes with your glasses and your hat (very unlikely for most people). Another nice touch compared to other earbuds I’ve used in the past is that JVC included two types of silicone ear pieces, the standard ones that form the best sound seal inside your ear, and an “open” type that allows more ambient sound to blend in, which is a welcome safety feature when you’re running or biking on a busy trail or street. Both earpiece types come in 3 sizes - small, medium and large that should accommodate the vast majority of ear shapes and sizes. I wish the ear hook could rotate at different angles around the ear buds, to allow hanging at different angles over your ear, but all in all it’s comfortable enough and does the job. They come with a micro-USB charging case and short cable that you can connect to your PC or phone charger. It takes about 2-hours to fully charge them and should last you up to 4 hours, after which you can get more charging on the go from the case's built-in battery, The sound quality is barely average, compared to similarly priced earbuds from JBL or Jabra that I’ve used before. They remind me of the sound quality of earbuds that some airlines would hand out for free on longer/international flights (missing the good old days of travelling before Covid…). The basic equalizer sound adjustments don’t make much of a difference, so if you have audiophile expectations while you’re working out, there are other better alternatives available. If you’re on a budget and these go on-sale, perhaps they’re worth a try.

These are not for people unfamiliar with earbuds. The rebus-like instructions are probably just fine for most but I found them off-putting because there are virtually no written instructions; some of us old folk simply need those. And the information on the back of the packaging is in a type too small to be useful for a purchase decision. On the plus side they are very comfortable to wear. I switched out to the medium "open" type earpiece and did need to use the ear hooks but then a very good fit. They can be charged in the case, a definite plus. You can adjust the volume through your cell but if your cell is ringing or you are in a cell conversation, well, you see you might have some difficulty. I found the 3 buttons on the side of the earphones almost impossible to feel and hard to press. This may owe somewhat to my large hands but the fact remains I could not make any adjustments while the ear buds were in my ear. All in all while the fidelity was adequate these are not for serious music lovers. Some of us are just too spoiled by our over-the-ear headphones we've become accustomed to over the years.

I wanted to like these, I really did. The sound quality is decent, though I'm no audiophile. It blocked out most of the gym noise around me. When exercising (especially jogging, burpees, etc) they tended to come loose, causing me to stop and reposition. It could be my ear shape. Tried with different sized inner ear covers, With and without the exterior ear holders without success. Pairing and operation were flawless, and they are easy to operate. The included charging case is nice. Battery life was great. I had no issue using them over about 14 hours total off and on without needing to charge. When calling, people said I sounded far away but clear. If they fit your ears I'd recommend.

Today I am reviewing JVC’s newest headphones, the JVC- Fitness In-Ear True Wireless Headphones. PACKAGING: Standard packaging, cardboard and plastic in a small box, nothing special, appart from the headphones themselves and the charging case there is nothing else, no carry case, pouch etc. SOUND: they sound good for their price point but overall they lack everything from volume, to bass, to mids and highs, somewhat disappointing. In fact, I had to double check my phone settings to make sure that I didn’t accidentally lock the volume at less than 100%. this is my only complaint about the headphones, albeit a huge one. QUALITY: overall the quality of the headphones is premium, they are made well, they feel good and they fit even better, The grey color in my opinion was chosen for its unisex appeal, meaning they could be worn by males or females equally. The quality of the charging case itself also feels premium, it too is made well and they house and charge the headphones perfectly. DUAL USE: JVC’s selling point to these headphones are the ability to wear them either directly in ear or you can add the detachable around ear clip, there is no wrong or right here, it just comes down to personal preference, both ways feel very comfortable. BATTERY LIFE/EXTRAS: Up to 4 hours of listening and up to 12 hour recharging capacity with charging case. They are waterproof which is a plus, headphones also come with a bunch of different earpieces (The little round gummy things that go in your ear) One of the sizes of shure to fit. CONCLUSION: On sound alone I wanted to give this product four stars. But I decided against it only because of all the little extras you get at a pretty good price.

I have BT headphones that are double the price and are known in the industry as the better, more expensive BT earphones. This one surpassed my expectations. However, there are some minor gripes, but in no way a deal breaker. The cons: Because of the ear loops, the case is HUGE compared to others I have tried. Also it still is a Micro USB connection to charge. I would have loved to see the USB-C based on the new phones that released currently. Also the button presses take a learning curve to operate. It's not touch sensitive, but a button underneath. I mean I love tactile functions, but this feels a bit on the cheap side compared to the other parts of the headset. Also, there is no companion app for them. One can use your phone's EQ to fine tune, but just want to put that out there. Pros: Bottom line it sounds awesome! For the price, this rivals my high ends! It's pretty darn clear and the bass hit pretty good without being too tinny. The looks are decent, and the headsets give you a vast selection of how to best wear the earbuds to your personal preference. There's quite a few combos you can make to make it your own fit, especially when working out or running with these. Would I recommend them? Most def yes! The minor hiccups are just hiccups, it doesn't detract from the comfort or sound of these earphones.

surprise JVC still around, had the chance to test out this wireless headphones for the past few days now, let’s check out the pros and cons for me. Pros - light weight headphones it doesn’t even feel like I have it on - the price for $80 you’re getting a great sounding device - Bluetooth 5.0 - it’s only water resistant IPX 5, so I would not recommend using this while relaxing in the pool - you can individually use one side of the headphone - audio quality sounded great and clear - the cases was already charge when I got mine, so I was able to test the charging case right away, which it worked perfectly Cons - wish the button was touch sensitive, it’s a physical button that you actually have to press while wearing, problem with this you’ll need to hold the headphones to press it and it create a pressure on your ear that it’s not comfortable. - problem from pressing the button, the ear hook could fall off sometimes when you want to press the button, that happened atleast 4x on me from trying to adjust the volume. - charging case is pretty big, felt like JVC could totally design a much better size for this headphones - biggest thing that disappointed me after opening the box was the micro usb cord, please move away from micro usb it’s time to retire this, and the cord that came in was prob 2inc long, what do you do with a 2inc cord to charge a product? - doesn’t come with outlet charging dock as well, they expect people to have hundreds of these i’m guessing, why sell product that you can charge but doesn’t include the full experience. my time with JVC wireless headphones was fine when it comes to actually listening and talking on the phone , but as soon as you have to adjust the volume etc on headphones it starts to me an annoyance, like I said micro usb need to end, not sure if it’s the cheapest route to take but usb c should be the standard.

The ear hooks hold the unit on to the ear with out any problems. This is a nice feature that allows for freedom of movement. The unit itself is rather bulky and heavy. The part that goes into the ear canal fits fine at first but after a while it began to hurt my ear. A big setback is you can not use just one unit, I could not get the units to pair unless both were in the ear. Overall the unit is heavy and very uncomfortable after extended use. I like the fact that you can get multiple charges out of the holder before having to recharge it. I got 3 1/2 hours on average from each recharge. The sound quality while listening to music was good, the problem came in using it for phone calls. I had a very hard time hearing the caller most of the time. The callers all said they could here me just fine, but the was also a lot of background noise. There are a lot of features available with this unit, but I just could not get past the phone quality and discomfort.

    Goldilocks Headphones... for SOME

Summary: For those looking for a comfortable, solid-sounding set of wireless headphones that can be used in multiple settings without breaking the bank- these may be just what you've been waiting for! Context : I am not an audiophile (important later) and use my headphones in 2 settings- at work (now home) to block out the cube farm (now family) noises and when running or working out by myself for an hour or more. I also just happen to have several pairs of Bluetooth headsets right now (yes, I may have a problem). Sound: Good. Remember, I'm not an audiophile. "Good", clear sound is my primary requirement. These headphones do not have an accompanying app with an equalizer, there's no ear-mapping technology to customize the sound just for me (yes, this is a thing), they play music, podcasts and allow one to talk on the phone if you desire (I don't often). The bass isn't as booming as some other more expensive entrants, but that's not generally high on my list of wants either. They are simply "good" & played what I wanted to play, when I wanted to listen to it without any hassle and I was happy. Comfort: I've used these sitting and working for a couple hours at a time and just wore them last night for ~90 minutes on a bike ride (on trail, no traffic) and experienced no discomfort at all; after that long, several other models- many more expensive- start to bother my ears. There are 3 different size ear tips, 2 different types of ear tips (one lets in more ambient noise- never seen this on other models), 3 different size ear fins AND removable ear hooks (more on these later)... so there's lots of variations that allow you to customize for your ear & planned usage. Ease of Use: Paired immediately- which was good because the directions were sparse. For those accustomed to using similar devices, it won't be an issue, but your newbie friend who really likes to pore over instructions before use is NOT going to be happy when you send these to them! It took some studying the diagrams in the documentation and some playing just to figure out how to control the volume; I usually just use my phone's volume controls, so this wasn't a huge deal, but may bother some. App: N/A as there isn't one. Uses: Flexibility and VALUE are where I think these really shine! For use at work (or home during the current WFH environment) the JVC's were comfortable and the in-ear fit blocked out much noise. The more ambient noise in-ear tips really seem to do just what they say which is good for some as they run/bike and want to be able to hear traffic and/or nature while listening to the podcast or music. I really love the detachable ear hook- it's just so simple that it's hard to believe others haven't done it! I'm a firm believer that lack of an over-the-ear hook makes a set of headphones almost useless for most exercise and most definitely running. With the JVC's, though, I can use them without the hook while sitting at my desk and then put the hook on (a simple, quick process) and then be out the door for a run or bike ride. VALUE: as of this writing, these headphones are 40-60% of the price of most of the others I've tested while being every bit as functional & comfortable. When fear of losing a $150-$200 pair of headphones is a complete distraction from your workout, then it's time to consider something both less expensive and more secure- the JVC's fit that bill! Case: While not something I care about at all, the storage/charging case for the JVC’s is larger than some other popular brands’ case, so carrying them around in your jeans all day might be uncomfortable. Back to the flexibility, though, the case holds the earbbuds, charges them, and has enough room to ALSO hold the removable over-the-ear hooks... versatile! Summary: For those looking for a comfortable, solid-sounding set of wireless headphones that can be used in multiple settings without breaking the bank- these may be just what you've been waiting for!

My intended use for these was something I can use while watching Roku/Youtube on TV/Phone when I don't wish to disturb others. While the ear hooks are intended for activities I still just generally prefer to use them for a more secure fit. But I love having the option to use it with or without the hooks whenever I feel like it. The bluetooth worked flawlessly and they paired with my phone instantly each time which is to my relief because a previous pair of another brand I had for some reason just gave me so many problems. The controls are easy to remember and simple to use which is also unlike my other pair. The connection range seemed strong as well. I left my phone upstairs and walked to the other side of my house on the first floor and it never missed a beat. One big thing I was excited to learn is the device can take calls. I was in need of a new wireless microphone so that was a nice plus. COMFORT They are very comfortable. Most of the time I forget they are even on and I didn't feel that fatigued after extended use once I found the correct attachments that fit me best. The only issue I personally had was the middle ear fin pieces don't fit my ear perfectly and stick into me slightly but luckily they are soft and still add nice padding. This is bound to happen to some but it's still not that big of a deal. I also use the smallest ear pieces so it isn't the most secure fit either but the beauty of the ear hooks is that they allow a looser, more comfortable fit to compensate for any issues such as this. SOUND Calls/Audiobooks/Media/TV etc - Really good. Everything is crisp and clear. I was told I sounded very good on the other end when I used these for a call, too. I use the ear pieces that allow ambient sound in and everything still remains clear. Music - Good, but not optimal. If music is your primary use, you may want to consider something else more music oriented. These are much more built for dialogue. It lacks bass, and while the music is still crisp and clear too, don't expect that full "immersion". If music is completely secondary and a full musical experience isn't important than these will do just fine. BATTERY It's decent. Packaging is accurate but with a caveat. On the front of the box it says 14 hours. On the back it reiterates 14 hours but with fine print. (up to 4+10 hours). What this means is that it is up to 14 hours including several recharges with the case. I got a consistent 4 hours each charge but it only took a bit over an hour to recharge in the case with 10% left. If completely drained, it would probably take a little longer of course. The website description makes this more clear but it could be easy to miss when picking up the product in store. PROS *Best of both worlds - plethora of in-ear attachments in assorted sizes along with the ear hooks ensures you find the best and most secure fit for your needs. *Water resistant - holds up to sweat and rain. *Can take calls which is a surprise bonus. Doesn't specifically mention that anywhere that I saw. CONS *Requires the push of buttons instead of touch activation resulting in pushing the device into your head. May not be an issue to some. *Case is larger than others because it has to fit the ear hooks. May or may not be an issue to some. *Music isn't the priority. Can generally do it all but this is where they make the biggest sacrifice. This is an all around great device for those whom it is intended for whether it's on the go activities, listening to dialogue based content or phone call usage. I'd recommend for anyone who fits this description. However if your primary focus is music than these aren't right for you.

Good, Basic set of true wireless earbuds

If you're looking for a basic set of truly wireless earbuds, these are great. To start, they have a good amount of fit options. I have rather large ears and tend to have trouble finding earbuds that fit right. The large ear tips included fit just right, and the added support of the around ear hook just added to the comfort level. They include small and medium ear tips as well, and have both noise isolating tips as well as tips that let in a little more ambient noise, which would be more useful if you were going to use these for like cycling or jogging on public trails or roads where you need to be more aware of your surroundings. Very nice that they included those options. As far as performance, they did pretty well. They are very easy to connect to your phone, and once connected, like most modern bluetooth devices, they automatically connect every time after that. I never had them drop connection or anything like that in my time using them. And they battery life is fantastic. You supposedly get 14 total hours from a full charge of both the case and earbuds. I wasn't able to test that out, but what I can tell you is that I workout about 45 minutes to an hour every day, and I am able to charge them once at the beginning of the week and use them for the rest of the week without having to recharge again till the next week. Absolutely no complaints in the battery life department. The one area I am a little disappointed in is the sound quality. They are just average. They won't blow you away, but I guess if you're using these to workout, it's not like you need audiophile quality sound or anything. I just always like a good sounding set of earbuds, and I was let down with these. Overall, these are great wireless earbuds, and are the perfect workout companion. If you aren't looking for the greatest sounding buds on the market, go ahead and pick these up. If sound quality is your main goal, you may need to keep looking.

Terrible Sound Quality and Extremely Uncomfortable

In the box you get the ear buds, the ear clips, a charging case, instructions, a short micro USB to USB cable (no power adapter), and 3 tiny bags of earpiece add-ons to try on for the individual’s best fit and sound. The charging case is roughly the size of a pack of cards, or two Apple AirPods cases side by side. There are a series of small white dots on the front which indicate the charging level and status of the headphones. There is a bit of a learning curve when placing the ear buds into the charging cradles. The earbuds themselves will light up red when charging, then turn off when fully charged. There is a definite lack of comfort with these earbuds, no matter how they are used, either with the ear clips or without. I tried several different adaptations of the earpiece add-ons for a better fit, but none worked—bottom line, these earbuds are uncomfortable to use. I tried them without the ear clips, and they kept falling out of my ears unless I really stuffed them into my ear, which I didn’t like to do because it felt like I was sticking a Q-tip too far into my ear. I tried them with the ear clips and that’s the only way they would stay in/on my ears, but even then they would fall out occasionally—again, unless I really, really pushed them into my ears, which was extremely uncomfortable. Even worse was the actual sound quality, which is mediocre to terrible. Even when stuffing it into my ears to fully test them out, the volume would be muted-sounding when turning it up all the way to maximum. At times music sounded tinny, at other times it sounded like I was in a tube. It never sounded clear. There’s an added feature where you can press on the earbuds to pause, play, rewind, fast forward, or change volume level but guess what, it’s a physically clickable mechanism where you have to press hard on the surface of the earbud in order to do these functions, and it REALLY forces the earbud to be stuffed even further into your ear. When I tried these features, I had to press so hard in order to achieve the physical click that it was on the verge of painful—imagine (again) stuffing a fat Q-tip into your ear canal. Terrible. At this price point, I absolutely would not recommend these headphones. Actually, I wouldn’t recommend them at any price point.

Works as advertised. I have a couple gripes that make it hard for me to recommend for people like me. My ears normally fit most ear buds but the wrap around the ear was tight for me. I think this will work well for most but not for me. My wife tried them and loved them.

I was so excited to receive these JVC headphones! Until I took them out of the package. I will say the packaging could be better but it is still stunning. The headphones are quite large. I have large ears and they were still very large on me. The sound was mehhh. I would say with the size, fit, and sound, these should be redesigned by the company. I have loved JVC for years, still do! I will say this was a failed attempt at trying to keep up with the market. JVC, go back to the old drawing board.
