Does not work well for intended purpose
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My intended use for this scale was to weigh portions of food for freezing as I cut or prepared them. The problem with this unit is that it would turn itself off in a relatively short amount of time if the weight did not change sufficiently, and I would have to empty the container to reset the tare. I know it sounds like I should have been able to work around this, but without going into detail, it really wasn't convenient to do so. An then after less than 6 months of very light and infrequent use, the battery went dead, so am wondering if the battery was too old or if this is as long as I can expect it to last.
