Limited, but fun for younger ages

This was a perfect STEM gift for a young child, but it's features are limited. There was enough info on the web to explain this limitation, but it was a good first programming learning tool. Be forewarned - the expansion to something more, is not there.

This thing had so much potential and would probably have been awesome. But, it was so delicate, it broke before we could use it. The power button and an internal piece snapped very easily and now it is sitting in a lonely landfill somewhere.

This was another great technology learning experience for my children and it was also at a great price... more than %50 off MSRP! While they have not programed with it yet, it is a great option! Not so sure I would pay full price for it though

My son really enjoys this and he likes that he’s able to code his own projects and also see sound waves with lights.

Did not work out of the box. In process of getting a free replacement. I gave the Pixel a 3 because of the bad device but think a working Pixel will be a 4 or 5.

After the first Pixel Kit’s power button broke off on Christmas morning (with hardly any pressure) I got a replacement sent out. I figured it was a defective model. The second Pixel Kit had the same issue but worse! This time other buttons were snapping right right off the mother board while in the protective housing. My son was trying to be so gentle.. he is 10 years old and actually loved the few hours he had to play with it. All I can say is I’m very disappointed with the Pixel Kit and Kano needs to build something that isn’t so fragile and sensitive especially for a toy a child is supposed to carry around and interact with. Ive never seen a toy break so easily!

I feel the negative reviews here are a bit unfair and for a cheaper price point this kit is worth the money. The LEDs are super bright and the software is well thought out. My kids have played with it for several hours since Christmas day. The selection button should fit better but nothing a spot of glue can't fix.

So this thing is actually a cool little device but it broke immediately. Before we could build anything, the force of snapping the battery in place broke the power button off. From reading other reviews(after the fact sadly), it seems to be a common issue. Great little thing if it was made better, it isn't.
