I wanted a camera in my car, and this compact model seemed like a good one to try. I have not had a Dash Cam before and was really impressed by how easy it was to install. I was concerned that it would be overly technical but in fact it was simple. The camera is compact and fits on my windshield really well, which is ideal. It fits nicely on the windshield and doesn’t obscure my vision for driving. When I had it in the car and turned it on, it was really simple to set up and program for my location, time zone and time of day. You just set your time zone, time, date and you are ready to go. You do have to purchase a mini SD card to record (which is important). There is a microphone also. The device has an app to use which is also really handy. Overall, this was super easy to use and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Powerful recordings with everything you’d want in a dash cam. Setup was easy. They provide everything you need for installation. It also comes with clips to hide the wire. Took me about 30min to get everything snugged up. If you attach it in the recommended area you won’t see it while you drive. Love the HDR recordings for night driving, comes with built in GPS and you can play your videos through their app. It’s a quality dash cam that you’d expect from Kenwood.

The camera is tiny, and picture quality is great. Installation is super easy. Literally mount it to the window and plug in the usb. It does come with extra 3m mount pads and a cigarette lighter socket adapter. This does come with a few drawbacks. It doesn’t come with a micro sd card. It also needs an accessory hard wire kit if your wanting it to do parking mode.

I recently purchased the Kenwood DRV-A310W GPS Integrated Dashboard Camera. I was looking for an affordable dashcam with a small footprint, I didn’t want to look like an Uber driver! The DVR-A310W fits these needs.
Although this dashcam only records in 1080p, in playback I can still easily read the license plate and other details of the vehicle in front of me, especially when stopped. Colors are vivid and one you’ve downloaded a MP4 to your mobile device you can review it without being connected to the dash cam.
I decided to let Best Buy professionally install the DRV-A310W. Technician Rob at the Wilmington NC store was very professional and completed the process in about 20 minutes. You can schedule any car installation directly from the bestbuy.com app, even when purchasing online. Be aware, just over half of the Best Buy stores in the USA have a mobile installation bay. My local store does not staff a mobile bay.
Initial setup is performed on the 2” color TFT screen, setting time zone, time and the option to change the default password. Connecting to my Android phone was a snap, using the free Kenwood Dash Cam Manager app. The app supports configuring settings. Auto recording of audio is “on” by default, but can be set to “off” in the app.
I really love the integration of the GPS info into the MP4 information, showing your driving location and driving speed during each minute of the cams operation, potentially saving me from a state trooper speeding ticket in court! Each MP4 file consumes 92 MB of data, working out to about 11 minutes of recording time per GB of storage on your microSD card. A microSD card is not included and supports up to a 256 GB microSD card capacity. On my Android phone, it took a bit of finding, as saved MP4 files are stored in the “Movies/Kenwood/MK2” directory.
When reviewing, each date shows in BLUE the hours that vehicle recording was performed, then each hour is displayed up to 60 1-minute frames of video information. You can then save any of these (including multiple files) to your device. Once saved to your device you can then share these MP4 files as you could with any other Android app.
I wish it had a one-touch button to toggle the mic and the ability to turn off the TFT screen while driving, although it can be set to a dim level. I did not find any issues with the app, which deserves better than the 1.8/5.0 rating on Google Play.
It is a value priced product, I would recommend the DRV-A310W.

I was worried about my view being obscured when I bought it but it is so small and sleek that my rear view mirror hides the whole thing! It also comes with a long power cord and four cord clips to that you can keep the cords out of sight as well. Video quality is great and it starts recording when you turn the car on. Great product.

Good camera, HD quality. It is easy to install but does not include a micro sd card. Overal its a good camera and does the job, not hardwired. Uses a cigaret lighteror usb.

Maybe I'm alone, but I had expected something larger and wasn't happy about it. I don't know what my reference was, but when my son recommended a dash cam, I imagined something more obtrusive. I was delighted when I opened it and took a photo. He handled it for me and says it was easy to install. I don't even notice it on the dash. Still new to it, so don't have much else to share other than I trusted the name and was pleased by the small size. It's not rattling as I drive and just isn't noticeable.

I was looking for a small, reliable camera for my car, and this one exceeded my expectations. The setup was incredibly simple—just mount it, plug it in, and you’re ready to go. The image quality is fantastic, capturing clear footage even in low light. I also appreciated the extra adhesive mounts and the clips provided to neatly hide the wires. This is a great choice for anyone wanting a high-quality dash cam without the hassle.

My daughter asked for a dashcam for Christmas.
Unfortunately I have not been able to get it installed for her yet being she's on the move a lot and busy with school. Research I did prio to purchasing has me confident about the camera.

Had an associate recommend this Kenwood unit over the similar, more expensive but older Garmin 47. My preference was for a compact unit first, but not necessarily at the cost of image quality. Install was fairly quick with the included cord/power adaptor once I decided how to route and place the unit and wire. Small enough to easily be outside of direct vision, cord running from the trunk DC output of a VW golf. It's clear enough to read plates at night with HDR, so even if it's not HD crazy movie quality it's distinguishable enough. I installed in our 2 cars, first one took a half evening through tweaking/trial and error for fit and 2nd install was maybe a half hour. Syncing through mobile phone app takes a bit to download and transfer but their computer client is a pretty quick file transfer and view/edit including showing the speed/route. I'm quite satisfied for having a very minimal install/module that is pretty much set and forget.

The Kenwood dash cam is very small and compact but I wanted the one that attaches to the review mirror and exchanged it. I do like the size of it, and the video was good but the mirror attachment has more features that aren't available on my 2012 Honda Accord

The Kenwood DEV-A130W is an outstanding dashcam for the price. Setup was quick and easy, and the video quality is excellent — clear during the day and surprisingly good at night too. The wide-angle lens captures everything on the road, and it automatically starts recording when I turn on the car. Compact design, barely noticeable on the windshield. Definitely gives peace of mind while driving. Highly recommend!

I installed it on my mom's Camry a few months back, picked up a U3 memory card and honestly, it’s been just as solid as my DRV-610WDP. Thinking about grabbing the KCA-R110 rear cam too. The thing’s super compact and feels really well made.
