This is my 3rd Kerug purchase in 5 years, none of them have lasted much longer than 1 1/2. All of them have had pump failures, non repairable. Next one I'll be sure to purchase the protection plan, then at least I will have one last 2 years.

I've been eyeing the Keurig since I first heard of it. Due to the mixed reviews, I was uneasy about spending a lot of money on a coffee maker. I was the only coffee drinker in my home so the single serve option meant easier clean up. Last month my old trusty coffee maker was damaged and I had to buy a new coffee maker. My husband right away encouraged me to buy the Keurig since he knew how much I'd been wanting one but had no need for a new coffee maker prior to the passing of my old coffee maker. At first it seemed so complicated but once it was up and going I was really happy. The coffee is great, clean up is great, brand is great! My husband who DOES NOT drink coffee started drinking coffee. We fight over my 12 oz mug every day now. I am really happy with my purchase. As mentioned, brand is great, they always have great promos. Last week I bought 2 boxes of pods with them and got a free tumbler for ice coffee! You also get pods for registering your product. I reluctantly purchased the Keurig 2.0 K450 approximately six months ago after reading NUMEROUS reviews on MANY sites because it is the only Keurig 2.0 model available in white which includes a large water reservoir. I needed a replacement for my white Keurig Mini Plus machine (recalled due to a safety issue for which Keurig's "fix" is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE due to a VERY POOR design and color aesthetic#. I was well aware before ordering my Keurig 2.0 K450 that some of my K Cup stock would not be compatible with the new brewer, so I ordered some coffee samples from the company that includes the Freedom Clip#R# to circumvent the non-compatibility issue. #It works well.# Overall, I like the K450 well enough. With the internal water tank and the 70-ounce water reservoir full the unit will brew six 10-ounce cups. I ran several tests to check the accuracy of the dispensing system, and I was pleased that most of time the brewer accurately dispensed the number of ounces selected. I GREATLY appreciate that the brewer can be set to turn itself on and/or off automatically every day at times I select and after a user-chosen increment of inactivity. This saves me approximately three minutes every day that would otherwise be spent waiting for the water to heat, and it saves electricity if I sleep in on the weekends and/or forget to turn it off. In addition, I like the ability to program the machine to have a brewed carafe of coffee waiting for me in the morning. #I wish Keurig would have provided a similar option for single cups.# The K450, however, is NOT without problems. The unit splashes A LOT while brewing. This is particular noticeable on the white unit. Thus, I must keep the unit fairly free of dust AND carefully wipe it with a damp, soft cloth after each use to avoid staining and scratching of the unit's housing as much as possible. #The housing, reservoir, and handle scratch easily.# Also, from time the time the display images scramble during use making it difficult to see the soft keys needed to operate the unit. This problem usually resolves itself within one to three brew cycles. #Fortunately, I have not yet experienced "the white screen of death" display error that other reviewers mentioned.# Finally, I am a bit concerned about the longevity of the pumping system. Two or three times I have noticed the brewing pump unexpectedly slow significantly--almost stopping-- and then return to normal during the brewing cycle despite the brewer needles NOT being clogged and the system NOT needing descaled. I never noticed any fluctuations in the brew pumping of my Keurig Mini Plus brewer. However, the Mini Plus uses a significantly different pump from my understanding. In closing, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND gently tapping the bottoms of ones K Cups and Carafe Packs on a kitchen counter or similar, flat surface several times to lightly pack the ground coffee into the internal filter before brewing AND fully pressing ones K Cups onto the bottom needle assembly BEFORE lowering the brewer handle to help reduce the amount of ground coffee that is ejected into the upper needle assembly. #I perform these actions before every brew, and I have NOT had to use the needle cleaning device once during my nearly three months of ownership because I have had NO clogged needles.#

Wouldn't buy again. Only take Keurig products. Not lesser expensive cups!!! Returned it to the store!

I just love my new Keurig 450 brewing system. It comes with many new features that were not available on my old Keurig. It gives you a choice of brewing a single cup of coffee or a carafe. I find the carafe option very handy when I have company. It also comes with a feature that lets you brew stronger coffee, a feature my husband loves! This Keurig is sleek and much quieter and give you a choice of brewing a 4,6,8,10 oz cup of coffee. If you are looking for a coffee brewer that is fast, easy to use, and makes GREAT coffee, this is for you! I will recommend this brewer to any of my friends, Thanks, Keurig for the free packs for this review.

It only works right half the time ..to much money for this machine

Had to replace my old k-cup unit and found the 2.0 450 model and decided to try it. Makes good coffee and I like the ability to brew it strong. Always my recommendation is with k-cup units is run 2 full tanks of water through with no coffee before making anything you intend to drink. Did that and fired up some Kona k-cups. Actually tasted better then the last unit I had when I used the strong brew option. Simple fast and good coffee.

The Keurig k-cups variation adds to a new surprise every morning and enhances the Keurig experience. I use this product at least once a day and mainly for coffee, but also for tea and hot chocolate. I love how easy it is to use and how I can program coffee to automatically brew. In addition, I love the carafe and how I can brew for multiple people at a time. I love my Keurig!!! Had it for 2 weeks, took 5 minutes to brew. Nogood

Easy to use and wide range of settings. Can be a bit noisy when warming up. Also has to use licensed K-Cups with the Keurig symbol or they will not work which was kind of a disappointed. Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for this review.

Great taste and simplicity for someone like me who is not a bit coffee guy. Not looking for the best taste but something that tastes fairly decent and very easy to you. The lighting looks very clean in the kitchen.

I've been extremely hesitant for many years on the quality of the coffee. However, after getting one for my office, I was very surprised with the taste and it is actually better than my old coffee maker. Since I drink coffee throughout the day, it's always nice to get a fresh cup instead of old coffee sitting in a thermal carafe. I ended up buying one for my dad for father's day, another one for home, and for relatives. ps. I make hot cocoa and apple cider with their pods at night. The k450 despite it only being limited to brewing keurig approved kcups makes up for this in the wide assortment of cups that do work. As for the overall performance of the k450 I would say it brews a hot cup of coffee fast and well. Additionally I really loved how the k450 could be programmed to brew at specific time. Overall I am satisfied with the k450

Great coffee maker. Perfect coffee every morning. Easy to use

I bought this for my wife after her old Elite bit the dust. The features are easy to use and the background is well lit. I really like the water reservoir. It's much easier fill than the other we use to have. The only bad thing is the brew time is a little slow(3 minutes) and the water has to be reheated every time you use it.

My Keurig makes perfect coffee Every time. It has various cup sizes to make the coffee strong for the extra pick me up. The customizable backlight is perfect for those early mornings or late nights! My Keurig didn't disappoint! Thanks, Keurig, for the free packs for this review.

I had the Keurig mini for so long, and Im happy about my upgrade. The coffee tastes so much better and having the water reservoir makes things so much easier. Highly recommend upgrading to this for those that haven't. Thanks, Keurig, for the free pods for this review.

I recently purchased this newer version and I love it so far. I have owned a kuerig now for about 4 years and I have never had any issues with it. I wanted to get the new version with the carafe since I like to make a few cups at a time when I have company. What sold me on the the keurig is that my sister owned one first and when her broke and wouldn't work she called the company directly and they had her send in one little part and they issued her a new brewer. I love it when a company backs their products and makes it right with the customer. These days it seems customer service is going down hill so when I get great customer service I am a loyal customer. I would recommend this item.

I purchased the Keurig 2.0 because I am a coffee fanatic, and typically drink more coffee in a day to make the single-serve version cost effective for me. When I saw that the 2.0 had the ability to do a single-serve or a full carafe, I thought this would be perfect for me. The Keurig 2.0 uses standard K-Cups for single-servings and also new K-Carafe cups that you have to buy, and right now, there are not a ton of flavor options for the carafe, but I'm assuming more are coming soon. Also, I'd love the ability to have a K-Carafe reusable filter too- right now I don't think one is available. I'd also recommend upgrading to the stainless carafe- it keeps the coffee warmer than the standard plastic one.

I bought this item for my aunt. It was easy to set up and easy for her to learn how to use. Unlike the other reviews, we did not get a plastic taste in the coffee. Easy to use and my aunt loves it.
