Coffee overflowed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It worked great for 2 months then the coffee over filled my cup. I selected 10 ounces and it brewed 12 ounces over flowing my cup. Unplugged the coffee maker and it continues to overflow the coffee making a very weak cup of coffee and a real mess.

Keurig products/support/warranty are trash.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m convinced Keurig designs their coffee makers just well enough to outlive the warranty. This is my 3rd keurig and also my 3rd call into their support line to be told each time I’m just past the warranty date. Nothing they can do besides give me a negligible discount on their newest piece of garbage. Do yourselves a favor, buy a cheap knockoff so at least the replacement cost isn’t so prohibitive. While this model was working I’ll honestly say it was my favorite so far and the frother was a nice addition. Just don’t depend on it or Keurig for any support.

Swooning
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am totally swooning and in love with this coffeemaker. My husband was bent on buying a Keurig after seeing another model at a friend's house. I tried to talk him out of spending the money knowing he would just go to Starbucks anyway. He purchased the K-Cafe on Black Friday and haven't been to Starbucks since! I love it and use it everyday. I can't wait to get up in the mornings! I fill my travel mug using the coffee from 2 pods. I can make a stronger coffee, or an "expresso" shot, use International Delight creamers, Torani syrups and sauces and almond milk Redi Whip. I'm sure that in less than two months we will have paid for the machine using the money we would have spent at Starbucks. I bought glass mugs just to get the full experience of seeing my creations. It adds so much pleasure to the experience. Thanks, Keurig!

Good Coffee maker. Too bad Keurig left stuff out.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Keurig K-Cafe Special Edition is a good coffee maker, but unfortunately Keurig left out some common items that it hasn't in the past - or at least included with the last Keurig I bought, a K-Elite. As a result, unless you really want the milk frothing option for espressos, cappuccinos, and lattes I would suggest getting a K Elite instead, as with the exception of the Frothing unit and the "Shot" option (which while strong isn't a real espresso shot) . Pros: Easy to use, setup, run. The K Cafe "Quick Start Guide" is short & clear. Unit works quickly. Handle on Water Reservoir makes it easier to refill than on other Keurig models. Milk frothing unit works well. Cons: Additional items that are included in cheaper Keurig units are not included in this package. 1. No Filter, though the water reservoir is clearly capable of holding one. So if you want a filter like normal, you're forced to buy one yourself separately, and it does not list anywhere what type to get, except on the user guide where it mentions to remove the " Keurig® Water Filter" if you're using one. 2. The user guide is NOT included in this package. Instead there's simply a note to visit support.keurig.com to view them. So, for example if you want to look up how to descale the unit, you have to visit their website and find the instructions there - which considering the "User Guide" consists of a 7 page PDF is simply insulting given the "Quick Start" guide is about the same size. (User Guide: https://dam.keurig.com/content/dam/public-assets/kcom_support/K-Cafe_Use_and_Care_Guide.pdf) 3. No sample k-cups are included at all. Though if you compare you might find a sale or deal that includes K-Cups separately on Best Buy like I did (the one I found was online only). Comparison: K-Cafe Size Options: Shot (2oz), 6, 8, 10, 12 Froths Milk for lattes / cappuccinos ~$200 No Water Filter or Water Filter Holder Included. Includes Quick Start Guide. No User Guide Included. No K Cups included. No programming option. Does include a handle on the water reservoir that the K Elite's water tank does not. K Elite Size Options: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 ~$170 Does not Froth Milk Includes both Quick Start Guide & User Guide Includes Water Filter Holder Includes Water Filter Includes 6 Sample K-Cups Can be programmed to turn on at a certain time. Both can use a "Universal My K-Cup® Reusable Coffee Filter" or comparable generic 3rd party one. Both have "Auto Off" after 2 hours enabled, but this can be turned off. Both work quickly enough that this isn't really a factor. Overall: This isn't a bad coffee maker, but it costs $30 more than a comparable unit that includes more things in the box that should have been included in this one. The convenience factor is why a Keurig is chosen in the first place, so while cost isn't as big an issue compared to a $30 Mr. Coffee coffee maker, it still is an annoyance. While the milk frothing unit works simply and easily, it's hard to justify the added cost given that Keurig has chosen to shortchange in several other areas.

Good milk frother, brewer DOA (twice)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to like this. I've used Keurig machines for years now and though they are low-pressure only they make a decent cup of coffee, quickly. However, I really prefer espresso beverages (americanos, cappucinos and lattes) so when I saw this product launch I was quite excited by its potential. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. So I picked up one of these machines, with an espresso sample pack, and rushed home to try it. Washed out the components, assembled in just a couple of minutes, plugged in and was ready to go. Fired it up, popped in the first espresso K cup, filled the milk cup to the cappuccino recommended level and waited for the magic. The milk frother works quite well at frothing, not so much at heating milk that has come straight from a fridge. If you want coffee-shop like temps you're going to have to pre-heat the milk in your microwave first. Well, that adds a step, I could live with it. The espresso that comes from the special espresso K cups is...well...not great. Without the high pressure it's basically hot water run through some grounds - ok for brewing coffee, not good at all for espresso. So I'd rate the milk frother 3/5 and the espresso brewing at 2/5 so far. Even then, I could have lived with it. But... The machine went into the Keurig cycle of death, endlessly pouring out heated water after it was powered on, regardless of whether or not a cup was placed in the machine and without even pressing any of the buttons to brew anything. Having owned other Keurigs, this is usually a sign that end-of-life is near. However, this occurred within 48 hours of opening the box. Strike one. So I returned it to Best Buy, which outside of an excessively slow-moving line due to understaffing went just fine. Figuring I got a bad one (hey, it happens, no harm done) I opted to exchange it for another one in store. Unfortunately, that went into the death cycle of endlessly spewing water the first time I powered it on. Strike two. Back to the store. I didn't make a third attempt. For what's basically an expensive Keurig coffee brewer with a mediocre milk-frother built-in (and some serious quality control issues) it's overpriced and underperforms. Back to my old Keurig coffee machine. I'm back on the hunt, hope your luck is better than mine.

Enjoyable for the coffee drinker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a few coffee and espresso machines . This K-cafe is nice for the occasional espresso drinker but better as a regular brewed coffee with cream machine. I am biased since I have espresso machines and the shots they produce are better than anything that comes in a pack or pod. Worth the money though if you don’t want to spend $500 or more for a espresso machine and burr grinder etc .

It stopped working.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Kurig K-cafe single serve K-cup coffeemaker seemed like a great purchase at first. I loved making cappuccinos with it and it worked perfectly. However, after some time, it suddenly stopped working without any warning. I attempted to fix it, but unfortunately, nothing seemed to work. I am extremely disappointed with this product and would not recommend it to others.

Not a frother .. just simple stir wire in bottom!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No temperature choice! Will not "froth" Oat milk, just heats it up .. no better than hand mixer and heat milk in microwave. Very disappointed. I would be using my 10 y.o. Keurig but rocker on/off switch is broken and cannot find a repairman .. yes, 10 years old! But it has a temperature choice! Hotter the better.

so sad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so thrilled with my new keurig. We made delicious cappuccinos using the frother which was the reason for buying this product. I purchsed the keurig elite at the end of November, it is now the end of January and the frother is already not working. I could have bought a basic keurig for less than half the price.

No clock, no auto-on? Really?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just cannot understand why Keurig would make their flagship machine without a clock. No auto-on means no sale. I cant imagine anything less fun than waking up, stumbling to the machine, powering it on, and waiting for the water to heat up. Why in the world would Keurig not add a $5 clock to it? And please, folks, dont suggest leaving the machine on 24/7. That will just shorten the life of the heating elements tenfold. Keurig. Please. Add clocks and auto-on to all of your machines. It costs you next to nothing in production, and it will make for many, many more sales.
