The director's remake of the Japanese duology Lacy Snowblood, unfortunately predictable and not his best.

Great sequel, great movie

This movie, though very different from kill bill 1 is well crafted. Bruce Lee, originally set to play the lead role in the Eastern/Western known as Kung Fu the tv show, found himself to be replaced by David Carradine. This movie references and pays homange to the accomplishments of Bruce Lee, and the world of matrial arts, and new style action movies. The sequel entails much more psychology and diminishes the graphic violence in trade for further story line. Though when the action is there its as fierce as ever. More than your average mind numbing action film, kill bill 1 and 2 offer something a bit different. Also, look for the hidden tarantino references throughout both films. He uses several elements that go unoticied to connect all his films. Look for similar props and ads to start. Any movie collection is inferior and incomplete without the Kill Bill collection.

Almost as Good as Kill Bill 1

This is a very good sequel to the first Kill Bill. There is a lot of things that are explained from the first Kill Bill. There are action scenes in the sequel but less than the first Kill Bill. The sequel is more intended in my opinion as an explanaion of the first Kill Bill. I did not particularly care for the ending so much becuase the fight scene didn't last long at all. I though it should have been a little bit more intensive. All in all though this was a great movie too. The Blu-ray format makes the movie even better with the high def video and sound. Its even better if you have a good surround sound system or home theater.

Best seen as a 4 hour movie

When originally made, Kill Bill 1 & 2 were one movie. It was split up due to it's excessively long length. Though, as a whole, it is an amazing movie! It is strange, however, that part 2 has been minimally altered. The differences are so minor, that you would probably need them to be pointed out to know what they are.
The Japanese DVD of Kill Bill 2 is the only release of the movie that is in it's original format. If you are able to obtain the Japanese DVD version of part 1, you might as well get the Japanese DVD version of part 2. The Blu-Ray release of Kill Bill 2, however, even in Japan, is the same R rated American version.
However, it is easier and cheaper to buy the American version.

Best sequel ever

If you want to call this a sequel, even the whole movie was filmed at one time before being split into two volumes, then this is the best sequel ever. Whereas Kill Bill 1 sets the stage and introduces us to Uma Thurman's character, this film focuses on the Bride nearing her objective of killing Bill. My favorite parts of the movie are the buried-alive scene and when David Carradine (Bill) gives his big speech about the mythology behind comic books. The only trouble with this movie is in trying to decide whether Part II is better than Part I.

Better than Vol. 1

I rate this movie higher than Vol. 1 because it actually has the true plot...we get to see the Bride get her training and her motive for wanting to kill Bill.
In my opinion I felt this film was much more superior then the first one.
I felt a greater connection with the character of the Bride and you sympathize with her because of the situation. This film explains it all and although it might not have as much action as the first one, it still has VERY good fight scenes, specifically one between the Bride and Elle

Good ending

Some movies are so lousy that they don't deserve an ending. Kill Bill wasn't one of them. The second installment was just that, a second installment. This movie was better than just ok but, not by much. I did like the hard core to the death chick fight between Darryl Hannah and Uma Thurman. Most of all, she gets to face Bill finally! I dug the sword play. I wasn't let down with this movie. I enjoyed better when I watched Kill Bill vol.1 and this one back to back. A good finish!

Beautiful, gorgeous steelbook of a beautiful, gorgeous movie. I am glad I had waited to buy this BluRay. It is definitely worth the price. The artwork on the SteelBook is beautiful and the case is itself worth the money you pay for this. The movie and UV digital copy is topping on the cake. Definitely a good buy. I got both Vol. 1 and 2 are both are great steelbooks.

Disappointing Blu-ray...at first

Huge Kill Bill fan so I picked up a copy of Kill Bill Vol 2 on Blu-ray. The black and white scenes are kind of grainy but I think that's how it was in the movie theaters. The scenes filmed in color look fantastic and this is definitely a welcome addition to my Blu-ray library. Watch the entire movie before passing judgement...you'll see the grainy scenes were filmed that way.

First off you can't compare vol. 1 to vol. 2 because they both make one. Although you could watch vol. 2 without v.1 and still walk away satisfied. Now this is some original work here and I appreciate every minute of this movie. Its a must own, not a must see. Vol. 1 and 2. Kill Bill is an example of how to be creative but not too much that it drives people away. Great movie.

I must say I'm a big fan of Quintin Tarantino, but this movie is just awesome. The sword fighting scenes are some of the best ever and the revenge plot is actually pretty good. It's a very entertaining movie a definitive must watch for any Tarantino fan or sword fighting fan. Get it!

Solid but meandering stylistic actioner

Tarantino's second chapter of the Kill Bill franchise is stylistically brilliant, and the action scenes and ending pay off well. However, there is a significant bit of meandering plot that slows down the movie in the second act. Overall, one of his most stylistically and violently delightful films.

This sequel does not disappoint. You get more back story that explains a lot of the stuff from Volume 1. More butt kicking and revenge! If you liked Volume 1, you'll be happy with Volume 2 as well! Way to go Tarantino!

Picked this up out of the discount Blu-ray bin. Although you can watch this when it comes on cable, there is nothing like seeing the blu-ray on a 1080p when Lucy Liu chops off a head of and seeing the blood spray like a fountain!
