Customers value the fun gameplay and engaging story of Kingdom Hearts III, frequently praising the vibrant worlds and the inclusion of bonus items like the steelbook and art book. However, some found the game too easy and criticized aspects of the dialogue and the length of cutscenes. While many enjoyed the game overall, a few felt the wait for the game's release was not entirely justified.

Been playing this series since I was a kid. Enjoyed finally getting to play in some of my favorite pixar worlds and finally explore Hercules world instead of being stuck in the colosseum. The combat is different from past games, but easy to learn and really makes the battles larger than life and fun to watch. It continues the Kingdom Hearts story and I personally have enjoyed the story throughout all entries even with how confusing it can get sometimes haha.
Recommend to any Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy fan, or to anyone looking for a present for a kid gamer.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is the perfect conclusion to the series. The gameplay is insane and the story is amazing. For those who have played every previous Kingdom Hearts game and understand the story then you're going to really enjoy this game. If you haven't played the previous games then Kingdom Hearts 3 won't make any sense to you since there is a lot of lore. But if you want to play the game just for the gameplay and not worry about the story then go for it but don't think that you can understand the story just from playing this game because you probably won't. Overall I really enjoyed the game and it's probably my favorite kingdom Hearts game.

This game delivered on every teaser trailer. The 14 year wait since the Kingdom Hearts II managed to make the long delay worth it. The story may not make sense to people who haven't played earlier installments, but there are flashback scenes to give a brief summary. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but there is plenty of material for every age group to enjoy, and Disney material never fails to entertain. The game difficulty on Proud Mode is actually intense, and Normal Mode is simple enough for young children to enjoy without giving up. If you want a game with days worth of gameplay that will keep you busy, this is it.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is the imperfect but still great conclusion to the Xehanort arc of the series. Gameplay is fun but less so than previous entries (especially KH2, my favorite entry in the whole series). It lacks Final Fantasy influences but does set up some interesting things for the next game. The story is the typical conflux of interweaving character arcs, but for having so many characters to wrap up, it does a decent job at this. Game length was disappointing as you do not visit worlds a second time like in previous entries and this made the game feel shorter. Overall, Kingdom Hearts 3 perhaps did not live up to (relatively unattainable) levels of hype, but it was a blast to play and see how the Sora-Xehanort arcs ended. I recommend it to anyone who is a big fan of the series, but you should probably play at least some of the other entries in order to have a good understanding of the story (particularly Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, and Dream Drop Distance)

Pros: All the worlds in this game came with its own keyblades and drive forms, and each had unique gameplay features not present in other worlds keeping things fresh and engaging. There's open world hubs for gummy ship travel as well with it's own secret bosses and challenges.
Cons: This was supposed to be the culmination of story of kingdom heart series, instead, most of the game is sora dicking around on random Disney worlds for no real reason. In previous titles, they always did a great job tying the Disney worlds into the main story or at least gave us a reason why we need to go visit them. In this game, there is no such drive except that sora needs to go find the power of waking, which (minor spoiler) he doesn't find or even get a clue to on any of the Disney worlds. Once you finish the last Disney world, you enter the final act, which while good, feels very rushed and leaves you with way more questions then answers.

Kingdom Hearts III is as beautiful and touching as the Walt Disney animated classics of eveyone's childhood. This game has all new Disney worlds (Big Hero 6 is my favorite!) which include new Disney companions. There are several new game play mechanics as well as returning mechanics like the Gummy Ship. I highly recommend that any series fan check this entry out. It's easily the best KH game in a long time. Newcomers to the series should play the KH collections on PS4 or watch recaps online to actually understand the story of KH3. Check it out!

It's been 13 years since the release of Kingdom Hearts 2 and this sequel certainly lives up to the hype. It has all of the heart, humor, and most importantly gameplay that you will enjoy if you were a fan of the previous games. Most of the Disney characters featured are voiced by the actors who played them in their respective movies. It evens walks you through all of the events in the previous games so you're caught up with the story once KHIII begins. Great game, highly recommend. Perfect for kids.

Please understand that this is the 13th installment in a series, and it is not for newcomers. You will understand almost nothing of the world and story if you want to try out Kingdom Hearts. If you would like to try out the series, The Story So Far is where you have to start.
Besides that, I thoroughly enjoyed this game; the music was amazing, the combat had tons of different mechanics, and the story was as Kingdom Hearts as you'd expect, but I love it.

The 13 year wait was well worth it for this game. The story, combat, and overall feel of the game showcases everything we've seen up to this point. There is plenty of content to keep you engaged from start to finish with the main story line taking roughly 30 hours to complete. The deluxe edition comes with a simple, yet elegant, steelbook case as well as a nice character art book and pin. If you're a fan of the franchise, you definitely don't want to miss out on this one.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is fantastic. This is a little biased because I've been waiting to finally finish the Kingdom Hearts series for well over a decade. Love this game, love the graphics.
I bought the standard and deluxe edition of this game. The deluxe edition is great because it comes with an art book, a pin, and the steel book case. Overall the deluxe is great for a collector or a huge fan like me, but if you're new to the series just stick with the standard version.

This game is a BLAST to play. It's gorgeous to look at and the battles are fluid and interesting, I'm really not sure why it took so long to come out, though; it's definitely the easiest of the three main KH games, and (as far as I know) there is no "Critical" difficulty mode as there were in the other two. Also, as is usual for this series, the dialogue between characters is disjointed and the story-telling jumps around and is extremely childish at times (yet super dark at other times?). But you should already expect that if you are this deep in the series! If you played the other games long ago, definitely give this a play through. If not, you can probably skip it; this isn't a game-changer for the series or for consoles.

I’ve been a fan of the series since the first game came out. Like many, I have been waiting years for this release and it definitely did not disappoint! The game is beautiful! I legitimately enjoyed the entire story, along with all of the (several) cutscenes. I would definitely recommend playing the previous games before this one to fully appreciate this game for what it is!
The Deluxe Edition does not come with much but it is great for any Kingdom Hearts fan!

Like most reviewers here, I have been a fan of this series since the very first one. I love JRPGs so obviously this and Final Fantasy are two of my favorite franchises of all time. The deluxe edition is pretty nice. The steelbook case looks great and the pin and art book are nice touches. If it's worth the extra $20 is up to you, probably more if you're a super fan of the series.
On to the game...whew chile. I am not unrealistic. I knew this would not be the same as KH 1 and 2 (which is still the best installment of the franchise imo) and to try to not play this game with nostalgia glasses. And after being in development for so long and the hot mess that was FF XV, my expectations and faith in Square Enix were already not very high. Even with all that, I was still so disappointed.
At first I was impressed by the amazing graphics and expansive worlds and having fun with the new features like the attractions, new and improved gummi system and the gummiphone. After a few hours the shininess wore off, though and I felt left with astoundingly disjointed, hollow and just thrown together storytelling that very rarely had any depth or meaning (and yes I know this series is not known for masterpiece dialogue and certainly not known for clear plot points but it is blatantly worse in this game), boring and repetitive gameplay and worlds that that felt like chores at some point, and combat that wasn't challenging albeit cool looking. I've only put in as many hours as I have to say I got my money's worth and not because I was having fun, which was almost heartbreaking for me.
Despite all this, I don't want to discourage anyone from playing it. As you can see there are a ton of people who love this game and I'm so happy for them, I'm just not one of them. I guess in my case too many of the factors that made me fall in love with the franchise were the things that were missing. Things like the coliseum, Sephiroth boss fight, and the Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden (a world you amazingly don't even go to) gang, although small and not necessarily needed, were just classic elements to me and the absence of it made me sad.
It's still a good game and a great way to introduce a new generation to the franchise. Maybe a second playthrough will help it grow on me more and the DLCs that are definitely coming may or may not improve upon some of the flaws.

Kingdom Hearts 3 in my opinion was definitely worth the wait. Everything down to gameplay and story pays off well in this long awaited third entry. I definitely recommend this to anyone who's to see a mix of Square Enix and Disney characters interacting together beautifully in this ambitious crossover.

I got this for a friend for her birthday. The Steelbook is rather nice and the included art book is of high quality.
The game itself unfortunately lacks the magic that made the first two PlayStation titles great. To touch on this briefly, the combat feels lightweight and less meaningful, and there isn’t much replay value to the game at all. You’re also not going to see much of any FF characters whatsoever, which was a drag.
Despite its flaws, KH3 is still a fun little action RPG romp through a handful of Disney worlds, and that was pretty much worth the purchase.

This is such great game from story to visual to music. everything bring me back to the good old kingdom heart and more. the game run great on my regular PS4 and control is nice and smooth. The 40 hours of game play is bit short (without doing all the side stuff)but i enjoy every mins of it.

WoW talk about blown away. The game is Kingdom Hearts all the wat but prettier, bigger, fun. They take what makes Kingdom Hearts great and just continue the trend. Don't get me wrong, this story is still convoluted and KH3 does make sure it pokes fun at how the story is just so, but it also does the best job of helping newcomers and experienced KH players alike.

I got this as a gift for my boyfriend. We both grew up with Kingdom Hearts and this game was more than what was expected. Usually we get our games at GameStop, but getting this at BestBuy was similar. We got a free item (keychain) that came with preordering the game. The deluxe version includes collectable pin, steelbook, art book, and the base game.

Kingdom hearts 3 is an amazing and beautiful game that any fan would enjoy. There are a few parts of the game that seem rushed, but it was in development for so long I feel like they wanted to get it out. If this is your first game in the series, pump the breaks and play the others in the series. If you only played 1 and 2 you will still be lost without the stories of the others. Story wise, this puts a nice bow on top leaving room for so much more beyond this game alone. Can't wait to see if and what they do with continuing the story
