Kingdom Hearts 3 is the imperfect but still great conclusion to the Xehanort arc of the series. Gameplay is fun but less so than previous entries (especially KH2, my favorite entry in the whole series). It lacks Final Fantasy influences but does set up some interesting things for the next game. The story is the typical conflux of interweaving character arcs, but for having so many characters to wrap up, it does a decent job at this. Game length was disappointing as you do not visit worlds a second time like in previous entries and this made the game feel shorter. Overall, Kingdom Hearts 3 perhaps did not live up to (relatively unattainable) levels of hype, but it was a blast to play and see how the Sora-Xehanort arcs ended. I recommend it to anyone who is a big fan of the series, but you should probably play at least some of the other entries in order to have a good understanding of the story (particularly Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, and Dream Drop Distance).

Our family loves the Kingdom Hearts series. We most especially loved KH 1, 2 and Birth By Sleep. This game takes a lot of the best parts of those games and combines it. The only warning is the cut scenes come often and are very long. And you can go way too long between opportunities to save if you want to play for shorter spurts at a time. But you can't play for much less than an hour at a time if you want to get anywhere with the game. The graphics are amazing, and the new worlds give some great interest. Love the way they finally brought the stories together. Still doesn't make full sense of it all, but a whole lot better. Loved when they finally get the Birth By Sleep characters back together since that has probably been our favorite.

Like many of you - I have waited a long long time to pick this game up and I’m very excited for it! It’s got the same charm and great fighting system of the first two games with memorable worlds to play in as well. I will say, the story/dialogue is still confusing at times and has far too many lengthy cut scenes. But this did not keep me away from enjoying the game and still added to making it more of an experience with the familiar voice acting work. Great all around work and conclusion!

Kingdom Hearts III is one of the best games of 2019. It has amazing graphics, it has the better writing in the series compared to other games, and the dialogue is a little better. The Disney worlds are bigger than they ever were before and very detailed. One of the best things about the game is that the dialogue between Sora, Donald, and Goofy feels real compared to other games. The gameplay is so much more satisfying now that Critical mode has been added and you can turn off Attraction Flow. ALSO this game has NPC's all around now which makes worlds feel more alive compared to past games. I would give this game a 8/10 or a 9/10 because it feels so good to play this game.

At long last comes the third kingdom hearts game. While this is not as challenging as the previous entries, it is a lot of fun to play with beautiful worlds and creative combat moves.

The graphics are amazing and the different lands (features movies) are nice. The only complaint I’ve heard is that some of the voice actors are pretty far off from the characters. Otherwise, it’s awesome.

This game has exceeded all of my expectations and they were pretty high to begin with. Graphics blew me away as did the story-line and game play. The great thing about the game is you can play it how you want. You can rush through it, you can search each area to find EVERYTHING, you can use magic and stealth, you can hack-n-slash your way through the game.....it is up to you. Yes, the story line is very complex (and you should read up on the prior games as a refresher), but you can figure it out. I only play it for the Disney worlds anyway really. Could not recommend this game any more.

Preface: I have not finished this game, only about 2 worlds into it. I’ve been a fan of this series since I was 10 years old. The combat was fun and of course the Disney tie-ins were great. I like the same features of this new entry, however I can’t help but cringe at some of the dialogue. Voice lines feel very delayed, and the actual writing can be pretty terrible. The pros of this game definitely come from the combat and how fast and fluid everything feels during it. So give it a shot if you’ve been a fan of the previous games, I don’t think it’ll disappoint. And if you haven’t played the previous ones it will still be fun, you just won’t know what is happening in the story.

KH3 is the best rendition of the series without a doubt. It's taken every great aspect from its predecessors; polished them and redesigned them for the better. I'm referring to the Gummi Ship over world, the in game menu, in game mechanics, model design, world design and collectible side quests, with the exception of synthesis. There is hardly any grind required to synth ultima weapons this time around. Maybe that's a Pro for you. The voice over work is incredible, I cant believe they were able to acquire such expensive talents, yet again for this series. Tom Hanks does not reprise his role as Woody unfortunately. For the talent they couldn't acquire, the imitators are very close. The score or soundtrack is amazing as always. Very moving at times. This is the hallmark of the series for me. Video is solid. This isn't Final Fantasy XV quality, but that's okay, it's Disney. It's always a pleasure interacting in your favorite Disney worlds. From the cartoon like Twilight Town to the futuristic metropolis of San Fransokyo, you won't be let down visually. I would recommend a PS4 pro for this title however, there are noticeable frame drops on a standard PS4 in select areas. Gameplay is where Square-Enix missed the mark. It's the easiest game in the series, by far. Sora is an absolute god, and you're never short on ally assists, summons, limit break like attacks, or signature team attacks. Nearly every battle encounter will feature an enemy that if damaged, unlocks a team attack that is well overpowered. All you need to do to win is press X or Triangle in a mob encounter or boss battle. The lack of challenge is a real downer. Did you enjoy the secret bosses in the past? Remember how difficult they were? Well, there's none to be found in KH3. The only thing keeping me playing is the desire to hear the rest of the story. I hope you like cut scenes, you'll be watching a lot of them, which is OK by me as I've been waiting like most of you to hear the next chapter in the story. I'd recommend this game to any Kingdom Hearts fan, or for your child, but that's it. The lack of difficulty nearly kills me, but I have to see the end. Kudos to Square-Enix and Disney for overcoming yet another licensing nightmare. I don't know how they pull this off.

We finally get the 3rd game for KH series. I grew up with this series since I was in middle school! I fell in love with the series when I played it at my friend's house. The graphics are amazing and the am enjoying the story line so far. The only thing that bothers me is the abilities that he can summon, which is a bunch. I try not to use them because it makes the game somewhat easy even though I am playing it on Pro mode. Sometimes, the cut scenes are are just frequent... Like I know I can skip it but I know I should not or else I will miss out.

Finally this Disney Fantasy Counts to Three

There are three types of people when it comes to Kingdom Hearts, and I will recommend it based on the following. You are either: A) A fan from the beginning who is desperate to see this dramatic conclusion and can recall every event and character without referring to an encyclopedia B) A person who played the first game and enjoyed it for being the simple and clean Final Fantasy/Disney mash-up that it was, but detests the pretentious, convoluted mess that became after COM and KHII C) A fan who likes the gameplay, loves the atmosphere, and also loves mercilessly mocking Tetsuya Nomura's attempts at writing. So, with that out of the way, here's a short review for each type of fan: A) This is the game for you. So many arcs that have been built up over the years are finally being resolved. There's so much fanservice, so many returning characters, so many Xehanorts, plus there are even new mysteries built up. B) This is NOT the game for you. This is exactly the same as the rest of this series. I mean, it's a freaking Disney property, why did it have to be injected with all of this jarring emo weeb stuff? It's just more and more hearts, darkness, pretentious ramblings, nonsensical plot twists, etc. Don't waste your time. C) Oh man is this the game for you. This thing is a blast to play, probably the best in the entire series. Sure, attractions do get a little old after seeing them for the millionth time, but it's so much fun. It's also probably the most balanced the series has ever been. Speaking of fun, you'll be laughing at this game's bizarre logic constantly. There's cheesy anime delivery, nonsensical plot points, and infantile attempts at symbolism galore. I probably fit into group C myself, and I've been enjoying the game a fair deal. I haven't played every game in the series, limited to mainly KHI and II in the past and catching up with the PS4 collections, but I've always had a soft spot for this wonderful, stupid series. I would personally recommend it even as an entry point to KH, as you're going to be lost anyways, so might as well start with the most fun, modern version possible. It's certainly not a perfect game, as the camera is a bit unwieldy, some boss fights are a bit obtuse due to broken mechanics, and movement is just a tiny bit too fast, but overall it's a very solid game made by a team that obviously cared very much about what they were they were making. Perhaps a bit too much.

It took years but the last chapter of kingdom hearts came out. The game looks great on both ps4 and pro but the pro does run a little smoother. The story is just what you would expect if you've played other entries. Only one complaint would've loved to see more final fantasy references but the game really hasn't been about that except for a super hard optional boss on part 2. Overall time well spent and looking forward to the DLC next month.

It brought back memories of the previous titles but fell short of them. Graphics were pretty but the gameplay lacked the substance of previous titles. I felt it was made to be alot easier then previous games even set at hard difficulty. Can't say it was worth the $60. Voice acting was also horrendous also no final fantasy characters. If your a fan of the previous id wait till they lower the price but thats just my opinion still worth checking out.

Playing KH3 is great. If you loved the gameplay in the previous entries in the series, you'll love this. Story-wise, the Disney stuff seems mostly disjointed from the rest of what's going on with Sora and the gang, but most worlds still keep your interest. My main issue with the game is that it was originally sold as a finale, but many plot points are left dangling as obvious signs to a sequel of some kind. Looking forward to that game too because I love the series, but not what I expected based on what they originally seemed to build this up as.

I've been waiting years for this game. I enjoyed the game play but the story's conclusion left a lot to be desired. I loved some of the worlds incorporated - never in my wildest dreams did I think they would have a Pixar world, let alone 2! - but I really didn't care to see another Pirates world. This series will always have a special place in my heart, and I will recommend this game to anyone with caveats.
