I highly recommend Kingston drives - they are fast and reliable and priced more reasonably then some other reliable brands. I like the variety of colors as I am a student and use a different color for each class. I create lots of huge Photoshop and design files and these drives easily handle the task of heavy use.

I use the Kingston - DataTraveler 101 16GB as a 3rd backup drive. I do program Narrative, Diagram and Flow Chart work. I back everything up on a mirror drive, a 2nd back-up drive and on the DataTraveler 101. I like the Eye Hole in the top so I can wear it around my neck when necessary. It is very handy to take production work to the printers for large format printing, etc. Good design, works well, a very satisfactory purchase.

I purchased this item when it went on sale, and it is a 16 gb flashdrive that was on sale for $10. Obviously, that was a must. I stored over 500 photos onto this and I still have space.

In the past I have a few Kingston USB memories products and they has been reliable and performing well. The same for this USB which is durable to carry with Key chain and reliably performing for writing and reading reasonable fast for USB2.

For once I had a pleasurable experience with Best Buy!!! If only the in store experience were this good. I did a lot of searching for a good product price, fastest shipping, and shipping price. Best Buy won out over New Egg and Amazon. Received the flash drive quickly with free shipping! Used to make a backup of my new Windows 8 tablet

Worked right out of the box, just plug and go. Best part was the drive wasn't loaded with junk software to decline or clean out. Protective cover rotates out of the way so you can plug the drive into the USB port. Because of its small size, you will want to attach a lanyard or keychain so you don't misplace it.

The cost of this flash drive is excellent. You can't find a 16 GB for just over $20. I also like the fact its a little smaller than most thumb drives. So if you can wait a few days on the mail, you'll get much more for your money. I plugged it in and after it installed the drivers, I have be rolling since. Get it, its well worth it.

Paid about $24 during pre x-mas sale - 16GB for $24!!!! Seems to be reasonably fast and doesn't require you to install spyware to use it (SanDisk flash drives include annoying spyware that can't be deleted). The metal cover isn't as elegant as some of the retractable designs, but quite adequate. It's too bad these aren't usually stocked in Best Buy stores.

Not as fast as the highest speed thumb drives, but reiable and reasonably fast considering the price. Very compact, and I like the integrated flip cover. It doesn't seal like the caps, but will give reasonable protection from damage, but not much protection from dust and dirt. Capacity is excellent.

Kingston 16GB DataTraveler G2 USB drive

I purchased this drive for shuffling files between my PC's at home. What can I say? It does what I need and with reasonable read/write speed. It's small size and pivoting cover are also a plus. (no cap to take off or misplace) I've owned a number of Kingston USB drives and SD cards and have always been pleased with their performance.

Save Your Money, Piece of Junk!

This flash drive worked for about a month and then slowly more and more files on it started becoming corrupt. It would cause my entire system to stall. I contacted Kingston and they just said to ship it back to them and they'd replace it which sounds great. But, because it was past three months, shipping costs were up to me to pay. These can get pricey, at least in relationship to what I paid for the drive, if you want to be able to track your shipment and get a return receipt to make sure they got it. Their warranty is for five years, but apparently, it's only three months as far as them paying to have their defective items shipped back to them. They never bothered to try and troubleshoot why this problem was happening, which leads me to believe they know it's a common problem. I did nothing wrong on my end, tho, such as pulling it out of the USB port while it was still working, copying corrupt files onto it, etc., but it would have been nice if they would have asked and tried to go thru ways to fix the problem. I had only owned this for four months so I sent them an email asking why they only covered shipping for three months, etc. They sent a snarky letter back saying they'd make a one time exception and send me a label, but that "the warranty clearly states three months!" I talked to more than one rep on the phone, some were okay, but most showed disinterest or were plain ignorant. Unfortunately, because I cannot even access the files to delete them (they're all corrupt) and formatting the drive comes up an error, also, I can't even send the thing back to them. I have since purchased a SanDisk Cruzer to replace this one and have had no problems with it. If you want a flash drive that will corrupt your files from a company that doesn't seem very interested in helping you, buy the Kingston. If not, buy SanDisk or another brand. Apparently, you do get what you pay for. Also, I was never real fond of the swivel cover on this...not very protective at all...and all the extra usless features it came loaded with. I just wanted back up storage for files, pics and music. But, since it was cheap, I bought it. Big mistake.

The 16GB Kingston DataTraveler was reasonably priced, was easy to use, and provides me with plenty of space to back up some very important files. The only thing I don't like is the flip top over the business end of the drive, which does not protect the drive from dust or other tiny debris getting inside.

    affordable 16Gb USB stick

I have been waiting for these USB sticks to come down in price. The XBOX 360 can accept them now for data storage and 16Gb is the max size you can use. I can confirm that it DOES work for the 360. After format, I had 14.3Gb of storage available (it steals part of the space for system data). I believe you can plug a USB stick into EVERY USB connector: that's 16Gb x 3 !! Small compact size.
