I recently bought Kirby and the Forgotten Land for my nephew's birthday, and it was a huge hit! He's a big fan of gaming, with Geometry Dash being his all-time favorite, so I knew I had to find something equally entertaining. Kirby games have always been a staple in the world of family-friendly gaming, and this latest entry does not disappoint. Kirby is such a beloved video game character, and even as an adult, I find his adventures incredibly engaging. The ability to gobble up enemies and absorb their powers adds a fantastic level of variety to the gameplay, keeping things fresh and exciting. The game is beautifully designed with vibrant colors, creative levels, and a charming storyline that’s perfect for younger players but still enjoyable for older gamers like myself. Kirby and the Forgotten Land strikes the perfect balance between being accessible for kids and offering enough depth to keep seasoned gamers entertained. It’s the kind of game that brings families together, and my nephew has been having a blast playing it. If you’re looking for a fun, wholesome game that’s packed with charm, this one’s a must-have for your collection!

My son absolutely adores the game. It's fine for both of us to play together and it's really not his visuals. Gameplay Gameplay loop is pretty nice and keeps us both entertained.

Kirby is one of those games that come and go without much of a fuss. But if you do happen to play one, they always end up being good fun games. Kirby and the forgotten land is just that. A fun game. The post apocalyptic levels shown at first are just the tip of the ice Berg. You have multiple places you get to explore, and upgradeable power up to wrench havoc in those places. Now the bad (for some, since I play every single player.) The multiplayer seems like an after thought. You're able to play all levels with 2 players, but 2nd player is forced to play using a waddle dee with a spear. So no copying abilities.

Great game. Love to play with co-op, it’s a long game if you’re trying to 100% but bound to keep you busy with its fun gameplay!

The Forgotten land is definitely the most realistic and most epic Kirby game I’ve played. Huge environments, long levels and lots to explore. It was definitely the most beautiful Kirby game graphic wise I have ever seen. Music was pretty good but I almost prefer the music from the N64 and SNES days. The power ups were pretty cool here. Not a lot of them but you could level each one up three times which was cool. The mouthful power ups were cool too. The game was the right length for a Kirby game. Pretty easy overall. I think I got game over once. But all of this is fine, it’s expected of any game in the series and it’s why I like it so much. It’s just a cute little fun game to play through in between two longer games. I hope to come back to it someday and collect everything. But for now I just have so many games and I’d like to at least play through them all and then maybe come back to getting trophies and 100% games later. 8.5/10.

Very very fun and laid back game. I got it for Christmas last year and just started playing it recently and am having a blast. Kirby has always been an awesome Nintendo character but they really hit the nail on the head here with this newest entry to the series. Highly recommend for any Kirby fans or even people new to the Kirby game.

After many years of good to mediocre Kirby games we finally got the franchise in a 3D environment. Personally I have never been the biggest Kirby fan, but this game has gotten me more interested in the franchise than any other game. It is great for kids and adults, and I highly recommend this game for those of all ages.

Kirby's leap into 3D is a dazzling, joyous success, making this one of his best adventures yet. The Forgotten Land introduces "Mouthful Mode," a brilliant gimmick that transforms Kirby into cars, cones, and vending machines, completely redefining level interaction. Its design is exceptionally polished, offering approachable platforming for newcomers while hiding deep secrets and challenges for completionists. Every level is a beautiful diorama, packed with vibrant colors and fantastic environmental variety, from abandoned malls to snowy peaks. The controls are perfectly tuned—responsive and intuitive—making the simple act of floating and running a pleasure. Boss battles are spectacle-filled and memorable, providing just the right amount of challenge without ever feeling frustrating. Collecting the rescued Waddle Dees and rebuilding the central town adds a compelling layer of continuous progression and reward. The soundtrack is an absolute delight, featuring catchy, uplifting tunes that perfectly capture the game's charming atmosphere. While the main story is relatively breezy, the post-game content significantly ramps up the difficulty and longevity. It's a pure dose of gaming comfort food; accessible, creative, and endlessly charming from start to finish. This game proves that Nintendo's pink puffball still has fresh ideas in his endless, hungry gullet. A must-play title for the Nintendo Switch.

after having a mental breakdown from kirby’s epic yarn being the most “babys first” video game i have ever played (still enjoyed it), i’ve been YEARNING for a game that actually challenges me, where I can actually die and get a game over screen…. This wasn’t a challenge I’d be getting (YET. I’ve only cleared 3 areas so far) but i definitely noticed a spark in difficulty, especially in the optional timed treasure sections where I’ve groaned and yelled at the game a bit more than I’d like to admit. The cute factor, however, mitigates this. Fed up with trying to clear frenzy mode? Go treat your team to a kirburger with a cutscene where they dig in and promptly go into a food coma. Got beat up at the colosseum after underestimating that final challenger? Go take a biiiiiiig, comfy sleep in your oversized Kirby bed. Feel bad for hitting one of the waddle dee citizens on accident? give them a little wave, see them wave back, and give them some company by sitting with them. They’re very tiny, nonsensical things, but playing like everyone around me is alive and I’m everyone’s favorite pink puffball makes my heart melt. That being said, if you don’t have a heart and wanna play a “man’s game” like Elden Ring the REAL way without any summons, this probably isn’t the game for you, but it certainly is the game for me, someone who simply enjoys the atmosphere of every stage and exploring every inch of it before moving on.

Fun and exciting. My two kids play it all the time.

I'm used to more traditional 2D Kirby games but this one is a lot of fun with the powers and little collectables to find along with the challenges. It has a standard mode and an easier mode so younger kids could probably get by clearing the game that way. Kirby games tend not to disappoint and keep things fresh each time.

My kid loves the game. It allows two players so my kid can play with a friend or cousin. The difficulty is spot on for elementary kids.

Just a fun game to dive in to, not a serious plot, just a fun gameplay loop, Kirby is a series i will always love

I'm a casual, on-again, off-again gamer. I never played a Kirby game before, although grew up on Super Mario (original NES). I've played in 3d worlds, especially Zelda Breath of the Wild and Pokemon Legends Arceus. I debated pre-ordering this, but chose, on a whim, to stop at my local Best Buy to pick this up. I have to admit that I'm happy I did, as I was grinning the entire time I played Kirby and the Forgotten Land (although I've only finished the first two levels). The controls are easy to learn and intuitive. Moving around in the 3d world makes sense. The game guides you as Kirby wraps around (eats?) different characters and things (I really like the soda vending machine!). I didn't have any issue with the default camera angles, but you can pan if you need to. Graphically, it looks great, even on a 65" TV; the scenery isn't muddled with too much detail. I subscribe to Nintendo Online, so I tried out the original Kirby game after playing Forgotten Land. I struggled a little with that older title. I found Forgotten Land much more enjoyable. Although I only finished a couple of levels, I look forward to finding time to keep playing this game.
