I purchased the refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher from kitchen aid when remodeling from kitchen. I like the design and style of this series. - cons: Not much freezer space, no sensor if refrigerator door is accidentally Left open.

Unit is ok
Not as spacious as I thought it would be.
Inside water dispenser not handy. I thought inside dispenser looked less cluttered on outside but opening door and filling glass is unhandy. Spigot not positioned right.
Like French door look.

The counter depth makes all the difference with this model. Also we wanted the water ice option but not the look on the exterior so this got us the best of both worlds with the in unit ice and water. Love the pro handles also.

I live near a Best Buy and Lowes...I decided to shop for a new fridge at Best Buy, because models I was looking at seemed cheaper. They had quite a few fridges on display, and I decided to get this Kitchen-Aid since it looks nice and I can organize food pretty well. You get produce fresheners that are Whirpool: there's an identical Whirpool model that gets good reviews from CNET and is cheaper....but it's not in stock at the BB in Atlanta. Delivery was hassle free and the fridge was very quiet and keeps temperature well. Some complain that the adjustable shelves have a space in back, but I'm keeping larger containers and haven't had issues. The only minor points are that the front stainless steel door attracts fingerprints, and the fridge's compressor has started making a rattling noise (I've isolated it to that). I've read that many times the warranty will say that compressor rattling is considered a normal operating noise, but since I got the BB plan, I may see if they'll take a look at that.

When we needed to urgently replace our fridge, it had to be with a KitchenAid so that the black stainless steel finish would match the remaining appliances. (Black SS doesn’t readily match across brands.) We bought this model sight unseen bc it met most of our other requirements: 36” counter-depth, bottom freezer, no ice in door, price point. Pros: given its relatively small volume, with clever tetris’ing, it holds enough for our family of 3; keeps temperature efficiently; ice refills quickly; no weird water taste; looks good. Cons: flimsy’ish construction not what you expect from KitchenAid or from paying a premium for this brand name; doors and handles feel lightweight; gaskets need to be wiped often to prevent mold; fruit/veggie/deli bins not very deep bc they have to accommodate plumbing that should have been built into the fridge wall; lidded door bin doesn’t fit at highest rung or you can’t open lid; door bins aren’t long enough to hold standard egg carton; only 1 year warranty. We’ve owned other counter-depth fridges that had better space management inside (Amana, Frigidaire). Overall: ok product; we hope it’ll last 5-7 years. I’d recommend it with the caveat that you get what you pay for.

We needed a small cabinet depth fridge because we have an oven that opens at an angle next to it. This fridge fits perfect, looks nice, and makes ice fast. We have guests over a lot so fast ice machines are important to us. We have never run out of ice. The fridge is a little on the smaller side but if a huge fridge is not important to you then this one is perfect. It is quiet as well.

A Real Beauty

Purchased December 2020 as an emergency replacement. As noted by other reviewers, the motor, fan etc is loud and runs a great deal of the time. It does occasionally shut off completely as long as no doors have been opened for a period of time. Then it is blissfully quiet. In an open plan living area, this could be annoying, but we have gotten used to it. A new person in the house could find it disturbing. Now at 5 months the gasket on the French door has split and a metal piece is falling out. I have requested support and await a response. Will they replace it or will they fuss around and claim that it is our fault. Time will tell and it will decide if I come back and update this review. I am hopeful that this is a stand up company and this is an expensive, beautiful unit. The counter depth makes it look built in. The interior lighting is fantastic. We love the ice maker in the freezer as there is nothing to occlude the beautiful doors. The Water dispenser is inside the upper unit, not through the door. The surface, though not fingerprint resistant maintains a beautiful finish by just using the recommended stainless polish. This is really a beautiful refrigerator. I don't know how to rate the quality since the gasket has split on one of the doors which could decrease efficiency........

Nice refrigerator. The French style doors works well for our household. We needed more refrigerator space and less freezer space. We previously had a side by side and prefer this style. It has a water dispenser on the inside of the refrigerator which I much prefer. It does not take up any door space.

Solid Fridge with some suggestions

Fridge looks great and works as intended for the price, that said here are the possible problems:
1) Water dispenser inside the fridge has no splash protection. After use there are a few drops of water that still come out causing wet spots on the cheese drawer.
2) Drawers have a very simple switch for moisture control, which catches on the drawer. This will inevitably lead to unintended wear on the plastic and snap off.
3) No ice scoop included or location to place one. So there is no sanitary way to get ice.

My old refrigerator was under a Home Warranty program and died. I needed a refrigerator quickly. I checked on line and decided to go to Best Buy. This Kitchen Aid was an out of box floor model in perfect condition. It had all the features I was looking for including shelving for platters for parties. I am retired and don't need any larger refrigerator than this model but really isn't a small model. It is also counter depth so it doesn't stick out far. It is a beautiful frig and I have had lots of luck with the brand. Great price and great product.

I've only owned this refrigerator for a month and it has been great. Especially for the price, this refrigerator looks so nice without the clunky exterior ice/water dispenser and it's counter depth to boot.
I like the water and ice on the interior because it doesn't take valuable door space, and it's supposedly less likely to need repairs.

We've had this fridge for about a month. The delivery guys handled a tough flight of stairs with professionalism to remove the old Samsung and install this new KitchenAid. We like this unit a lot. The exterial materials are handsome and not prone to fingerprints. The old Samsung had high gloss chrome on the surfaces you touch to open the doors. Also, the old Samsung had ice in the door, always a bad idea, that required constant defrosting.
We often want to fill containers with ice and this KitchenAid really produces a good quantity of ice and we never come close to running out.
The door handles look industrial but after a couple of days they just feel functional. The rough surface does not show fingerprints at all.
The shelves and drawers work well and are not annoying in any way. The internal lighting is great. Temperatures have been super stable so far.

Man the short depth fits perfect in my space. Yet its way bigger then my old Samsung fridge. Love the stainless steel look. Love the water dispenser inside the fridge. The build on the doors and pullouts and storage is extremely solid. All the controls are extremely easy to use. Cools super fast love the ice dispenser. Im a big fan of KitchenAid products and am so glad I purchased this fridge from them

It looks so beautiful in my kitchen. However, the freezer section in the bottom is kind of small. Usually we don’t need to store lots of frozen food but due to COVID-19, we wish the bottom section a little bigger. It is very quiet and looks really nice.

Good use of space, holds quite a bit even though it is counter depth. Runs very quietly, even the ice maker doesn't make a lot of noise. A little strange to have the door open to fill a pitcher of water but the water filter does seem to work well. This was the only model that would fit under my 78" cabinet space, luckily it was a satisfactory choice.

Pros: clean look, doesn't extend too far beyond counter, humidity control feature works well.
Cons: Water dispenser on inside is a little inconvenient and seems to waste energy when filling large bottles having to have the door open. Doors are a little "flimsy," features are pretty basic - I think it's overpriced.
We don't have kids and max out the storage capacity of this unit. I love that it is counter depth but if you have a family I'd skip it.
