Customers are satisfied with the 24" Tall Tub Built-In Dishwasher's quiet operation and excellent cleaning performance. Many appreciate the additional space provided by the third rack and the overall capacity of the dishwasher. While some find the cycle time to be lengthy, the positive feedback on cleaning ability and noise level outweighs this concern. The ease of use and stainless steel interior are also frequently praised.

This dishwasher works great. My dishes come out clean and dry (I do use the rinse aid). I use the pro wash cycle most often. It does take about 2.5-3 hours to wash but overall I'm happy. Very easy to load with plenty of space vertically as well. 24 oz tervis tumblers fit top shelf with no problem. Even with a 13x9 pan below on the bottom rack. No need for a third rack. Very quiet, can't hear this machine running.

Cleans great hard to load large items because the rack height is not high enough because of the three racks

As soon as we started using it the wash cycle would stop halfway through. It was because the door would not stay closed. I dealt with this recurring problem for 3 months, and last week the dishwasher completely died. No power, no lights, nothing. I troubleshot it and my conclusion is the fuse blew in the dishwasher or the control panel died. Have only had this 3 months! Now I have to wait 3 weeks for a warranty repair. Go on youtube and you will notice this is a common problem with the kitchenaid dishwashers. I should not have trusted the reviews. My mistake! Junk! BTW... My last dishwasher was a simple maytag that lasted 17 years without a single problem.

Have to say my 2 negatives was how long it took to receive this, and plastic drying.
Now I know delivery is not a fault of the dishwasher, and why this is a 4. The plactic drying is my one true negative on the dishwasher, as we have small childeren and have a ton of plastic cups that always has water on the top of them (even on added heat cycle).
Minus the 1 negative, the dishwasher is awesome. Super quiet, and gets dishs clean! I would recommend this product!

Does not clean dishes anywhere near expectation. Heat dry does not work. You end with dirty wet dishes

There is no product in the market that is 100% reliable. So yes, there will occasionally be some products that are bad even from good manufactures. That said, this is an excellent dishwasher. When it runs, the only way I can tell that it is running is by looking at the lights. The equipment is very quite.
The racks are designed very well. I compared it with the Bosch and you will notice one thing right away. The racks in the Kitchenaid are sturdier. They dont rock side to side. The racks also glide smoothly in an out. Bosch is a great dishwasher from an engineering point, but I liked the features of the Kitchenaid.
My wife loves the top rack as she can place big spoons there. The spoons and fork basket is also well designed with different size holes so that they dont drop into the basket.
Overall great equipment.

Pump broke down in less than 18 months. Major repair costs. KitchenAid does not support its products, tries to push extended warranties as only way to cover their poor products. Dishwasher should last a lot longer than this

I paid an extra $200 for the third drawer. It is absolutely worthless. There is no room to put anything thicker than a rubber scraper but we can't put our rubber scrapers or anything else up there because the items will be filthier after the wash cycle than they started. For some reason, I don't know because my model doesn't have a window, food flies up to the top shelf and rests. I have to wash the dishes before I load them otherwise it will just splash food all over the dishes. I have resorted to laying everything flat instead of stacking side by side and it seems to work best at this point. I can't use the heated dry feature because it will cook onto the dishes the food it just splashed all over them. The ProScrub feature works well but that is only in one section of the washer. If my husband starts a load he will not remember to turn off the heated dry so when I unload it I'm thankful the majority of the caked on mess can be scraped off with a fingernail. I have to inspect every dish or utensil before putting anything away to make sure there is no soft food or caked on food depending on if the heated dry function was turned off or on. It is frustrating to pull a fork out of the drawer after missing something before I put it away. Of course because I missed it I have to wash two forks because it had to dirty the fork it was touching in the drawer. I chose this brand and model because it seemed sturdier than any of the other models and I have appreciated that to be true. When I pull a drawer out it stays on track loaded or empty. I do a load or 2 every day. I've been using the dishwasher for nearly two months.

Has been quiet Have had it for 5 years. But now in the last two years have had to replace rack rollers twice and the rack itself is very weak. Inlet vale needs replacing. Look at some other product
