2 DAYS AFTER BUYING this fridge/freezer had to get the seal fixed on the freezer It's not even 4 months old and had to get repaired 4 times already!!! Ice maker not making ice. Tempurater in freezer and refridgerator not working properly stays much warmer than temp set at. Dispensing water is warm as well. KitchenAid does not stand by there products at ALL-I would buy from another manufacturer-someone that stands behind their products!

    NIGHTMARE!!!

We were initially really happy with our purchase; however, 2 years later and this fridge has become a total nightmare. We have had issues with loud noises coming from it that turned out to be related to build up of frost/ice in the back. The temp in the fridge dropped but did not completely stop working, enough to alert us to a problem. It wasn't until 3 members of our family fell ill from food poisoning that we realized that the fridge temp was to blame. We had a tech come out the first time after waiting two days, only to have him look in behind the drawers and see the ice and tell us that there was nothing he could do, he had to get a part. Isn't this something he could have asked us before coming to our house? So now I am taking ANOTHER day off work to wait for him to come back with a part to fix the issue. He de-ices and replaces the compressor fan and we are charged for the parts but not the labor because apparently this was related to a KA recall, which we were never notified of, even though our product is registered with KA. Fast forward 3 weeks, the ice build-up is back and food is ruined again. We call for service and they cannot get a tech out for 4 days. Feeding a family of 6 without a working fridge is a delight. The tech shows up to access the issue this time and says that we need a new motherboard but he has to order that, which takes 5-7 business days. So now we are sitting here with food in coolers, trying to function while waiting this out. I would never buy another KA appliance. Be warned. Customer service is condescending and rude when you have to deal with them. This has been a terrible customer experience, which is SHOCKING considering the $4000 we shelled out for this monster.

We really love this fridge. The extra drawers saves us a lot of room and my kids can just grab a piece of fruit or cheese without cooling down the whole fridge. The freezer has a spot fpr pizza boxes and.popsicles! My husband likes that and the kids don't loose their popsicles all over the place. The fridge fits a lot but the shelfs are on the short side so we are constantly moving things around to find more room for the tall items, but that's not a game changer. We are pleased with our purchase

I liked the split pantry drawers initially, but it loses storage space vs the full width pantry door. I wish I had gone with the full width pantry version.

I love the outside of this refrigerator but all it has is good looks. I am very disappointed with the inconvenience of getting in and out of the refrigerator... poor drawer design.. Using the ice maker has been a nightmare due to poor design.. trouble producing ice due to the opening of the refrigerator door that throws off the temperature in the fridge.. ice dispenser leaks water because of this poor design.. soooo much money and I am stuck with this good looking refrigerator that does not deliver on demand.. Refrigerator turned agitator for this customer.. we have only owned since January and had to call for repair on this model already.

I really like the refrigerator and it works well, but the build quality is very poor. When it was delivered and installed, there was a buzzing sound and the internal shelves were misaligned - the technician joked that it might have been a "Friday Fridge". When serviced, the buzzing was a bit of tape left in the unit being struck by a fan; the shelf alignment was fixed by completely disassembling the interior (and this was a brand new unit!!!) and resetting the shelf supports in the rear!!! Finally - and this was something that couldn't be fixed - the freezer door is slightly misaligned - it is slightly offset to the right by 1/8". It's not obvious to a casual observer, but I see it. The service technician even ordered and installed a new freezer door - which didn't solve the issue. I suppose with 5 doors the probability of misalignment increases. Overall, the unit is working and looks good. But for the price and with a name like Kitchenaid, I would have expected something of MUCH higher quality.

I bought this in August 2017. In December it has already quit working. I just had to throw away over $200 worth of food. Been without this for almost a month and still no resolution.
