We replaced a 13 year old JennAir downdraft cooktop. The two things we didn't like about the JennAir was the design and placement of the knobs. They were too flat so it made them difficult to grab. They were also set too close to the burners so they were always very hot to the touch. The downdraft was impossible to clean. When you removed the grate, the slot was too narrow to get your hand down into it for cleaning. The Kitchen Aide has the knobs down the right side of the cooktop and away from the burners. The knobs are larger so they're easy to grasp and cool to the touch. The downdraft opening is wider and you can easily clean all the way to the bottom. A real joy to cook on.

All burners heat up fast and knobs are easy clean. If I had to be picky, the silver strip has a slightly sharp edge at the ends and it feels like it should be rounded.

We purchased a house with an older model downdraft stovetop. We replaced it with this KitchenAid stovetop. The dials are conveniently located to one side, and the downdraft has a flat vent cover. The previous model's cover was not flat and prevented anything to lay crosswise across the stovetop. To keep the top from getting scratched, I wipe off the bottom of my pan before placing on the stove. It cleans easily and looks great.

We bought the KitchenAid to replace a 30 year old JennAir cooktop. The dimensions were the same so installation was a breeze. I love the dual zone burners that give me an option for every pot size. Still getting used to the control knobs but it's easy to operate and looks great too. So far, very happy!

The Kitchenaid downdraft cooktop performs very well. Boils water very fast, cooks evenly and most importantly cleans up easily. We also like the dual burner feature and hot surface light. The downdraft fan is very strong even on the lowest setting. Would definately buy this item again.

A plus is an extra convection oven for use when the main oven is otherwise occupied.

Great cooktop! I particularly like the special setting for melting butter or chocolate. And this cooktop has the best downdraft I've ever had.

Great product however we had issues getting everything with the line up with the vent when we were installing it.

Good cooktop for downdraft options. Wipes clean easily. Fan is strong, but could be a stronger.

We really like the dual burners and it works great, but the black glass gets very dirty and is hard to keep up. Our previous electric stove top didn't have as much glass surface to keep clean.

We bought this cooktop to replace a 30+ year old Jennifer Aire and the difference is incredible. This really added a professional look to our kitchen.

Other places had the stove top but was a lot more and would had to wait 2 weeks it was cheaper and had it in 2 day

We replaced our old Jenn air for this unit even though generally kitchen aid owns jenn air

I would recommend to get that stove with very easy to use.
