    Trouble @ First

So overall I would give this stove a five star. I actually had ALOT of issues at first and after searching reviews now (10 months after I bought it) I'm seeing the same issues pop up that people are experiencing. The induction top has always worked amazingly well. The convection oven on the other hand had moments, every 3 weeks or so where it would either stop working and give me an error code, where I would have to shut the power off and on to it so it would continue working The other thing it would do is completely stop working and say "function not available" Once that happened, best buy people were out multiple times, put in a new control panel (not one with updated software) and then finally got me a new stove. So I had that one about a month and the same thing started happening. It would do it about every three weeks, always int he middle of baking. The oven would stop working but the induction would still work. So I kept trying to get best buy to contact "kitchen aid support" and just ask them what the error codes meant and apparently that was way to difficult for them to figure out. So finally when my stove quit working the weekend before Thanksgiving (when I had company coming) they sent another repair person out from a local repair shop that is through the best buy warranty. So FINALLY he, being the one person who was smart enough to call kitchen aid, spoke to someone, gave him the error codes I was getting, got an "updated" control panel and switched some wires and it has worked since the end of November with no issues at all. So yes, I have had a lot of problems, but hopefully if someone else buys this they can see the review and have it fixed correctly the first time and not be completely frustrated for 9 months when you spend ALOT of money on a stove. Yes I would recommend it because I truly do love the induction top and the convection oven now that it is working constantly. The warming drawer is a very nice feature, and unlike the other person who rated this stove, I don't mind the cleaning function, I just think that you have to stay on top of it.

Trouble at first, but it's great when it works

We've had this for about a year; over the first 9 months it just stopped several times--sometimes the cooktop, other times the oven. We had to switch the circuit breaker off and on to get it working again. Because it was intermittent, they had trouble finding the cause. This past summer the control panel was replaced and--so far--it's working well. And, it was sad to give up our old cookware. But… That said, my husband--the cook--loves the stove. It heats so quickly and maintains a constant temperature. When adjusted up or down, it changes to the new setting instantly. The glass cooktop is easy to clean and spills can be wiped up as soon as they occur, when it's easy to do so. A couple of design suggestions: make the circles indicating where to place pots more visible! They are hard to see. And use numerals to indicate temperature, instead of words such as "keep warm," "simmer," and "low"--each of which contains several settings.

    DOES NOT WORK

We purchased this Range on March 20, 2014. I have used it since then and it has worked fine until we used it on Thanksgiving. The Range STOPPED! It just stopped cooking the Turkeys in the middle of the cycle. We did everything to try and reset it but unfortunately we lost our food because we had no way to finish cooking it. Since then the repairman came out and worked with Kitchenaid to find the problem. They ordered a new "control board" and now it's on backorder!! It will be 3 weeks before we get the part and we don't even know if that will fix it. That means I will not have a range for Christmas either! DO NOT BUY KITCHENAID!!! DO NOT BUY KITCHENAID!!!

    AquaLife is NOT self-cleaning

This is a whirlpool product. In addition to whirlpool they make may tag and kitchenaid ranges. I have one with the aqua life "self-cleaning" oven. It is NOT self cleaning. YOU MUST SCRUB. I have made numerous complaints to Whirlpool and Maytag. They will not address this issue and instead have expanded this technology to KitchenAid ranges as well. I am very disappointed in Whirlpool corporation. I wish I had bought an Electrolux or Bosch.
