ZERO STARS - REGRET my KitchenAid purchase

My new kitchen is 100% equipped with KitchenAid appliances. `The induction cooktop is barely beyond 4 years old and has required 2 major repairs that more than double the price of the original unit. One buys kitchen appliances with the expectation they will LAST. When my range works, I love it, but this is inexcusably terrible quality for a purchase that should last a decade at minimum. What's worse, replacing this unit is complicated by the fact that a new range may not fit the cut out in my fancy stone countertop. I cannot adequately express how much I regret this purchase.

    Scratches & Terrible Customer Service

Extremely disappointed. This unit surface scratches just by using it. The glass surface does not appear to be manufactured correctly. Called KitchenAid and they're not willing to do anything. How can a cooktop that comes in direct contact with pots scratch so easily? I'm using brand new Al-clad pots. KitchenAid's first response was the pots are made of the wrong material (Hard Anodized Aluminum) and that's what is causing the scratches. Checked the pots and the bases are made of Stainless Steel which they recommend. Now KitchenAid changes their story and says the pots are "curved" and that's what's causing the scratches. Use and care guide says nothing about curved. How is a flat stainless steel surface curved and causing scratches? Very sad that KitchenAid doesn't back their product and changes the story to hide from the truth. These pots are designed for induction stoves and conform to their use and care guide. Will never purchase KitchenAid again. I'm sorry I just spent $15K on products a company does not back. A company that changes their story to screw the customer.

Stopped working before first month of purchase ....Customer service is booked one moth in advance ( kitchenAid customer service) for repairs. Don't allow the brand to fool you. I will think twice before buying any KitchenAid product ever.

We purchased Kitchenaid induction cooktop. After less than one month light use, it made a loud bang and completely shut down. After waiting long period for parts and installation with in one month unit did same thing, this time popping circuit breaker. We are told another two weeks minimum for parts and service. After waiting 56 minutes to talk with someone at Kitchenaid and then after talking with two different people we were told there is nothing they can do. Not helpful at all.

We have had this cooktop for a few years now. We had the 30" model prior and it worked great so when we remodeled we replaced it with the 36" version. From day 1 the large center element has not heated up properly. With a large, full pan of food the heat is too low all the way up to the "7" setting. At "8" it burns. I have ruined countless meals because of this problem. Upon searching the internet I found comments on Houzz saying they can spontaneously combust! Do not trust this cooktop!

Purchased cooktop back in Jan 2019. The original or replacement has broken 4/5 times with the error code F47 flashing on 2 right burners and middle burner. Numerous repair visits and phone calls with Kitchen Aid to sort issue and it is still not resolved. Currently trying to return product but they are not making it easy and trying to repair or replace. I think they are trying to make it out of warranty period so then I will be stuck with it.

Mine stopped working at 3 years and although there was an extended parts warranty, the replacement part they needed was discontinued so it was not fixable.
