Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced a working whirlpool cooktop with a new kitchenaid because I was replacing downdraft so thought might as well replace my older cooktop with a shiny new one. BIG MISTAKE! This cooktop takes forever to cook food or boil water. I have come to a conclusion that's because 1. Grates are very thick 2. Grates make a cross right in the middle of burners and hence block the flame 3. Grates sit too high so a lot of heat is lost due to these issues and it takes much longer to cook food. In addition, igniter is too loud. How can a reputed company launch a product with so many flaws. This cooktop can make your kitchen look pretty but not do the job it's meant for. I so wish I had not let installer take my older cooktop for recycling. I would gladly accept my older appliance back over this one. Thankfully I purchased geek squad protection. Best buy is allowing me to exchange it for a different cooktop so I am now researching which one to buy.

Has the low profile and especially the center burner has two state of burner in case you need to have high heat you can turn on the outer burner which gives lots of BTU.
