Very Underwhelmed

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We were upsold on this range by an associate that assured us that KitchenAid was commercial grade and therefore would be higher quality and longer lasting. But I can't find a single thing about this range that justifies the price tag and it feels more like a low end unit with a high end name. To start, we were assured that the top had a special coating that would clean easily. That has definitely not been the case. One small overboil and we have a stain we can't remove. The convection oven, one of the primary features we were looking for, can't possibly be a true convection as we were told. I have baked biscuits and cookies that were just barely browning on top and the bottom ended up just this side of burned and very hard. Not even close to the even baking I would expect from a true convection oven. For a 'commercial grade' oven, the drawer is awfully flimsy. Lastly and one of the most disappointing things is that it takes much longer to preheat than our previous range, a Kenmore. I wish I had that and my money back as we have been extremely underwhelmed with this purchase. In no way does it live up to the $1,300 price tag.

Overly complicated set up for oven use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The stove top is not as difficult to clean as others have stated (and I am a messy cook), but it is more difficult than my last smooth stove top. I clean it EVERY time I use it with Cerama Bryte. The placement of the burners is strange--they are off-set. One side is different from the other side, and they are difficult to see. The oven settings are not intuitive. I'm sure I'll get use to it and it might even make sense, but not yet.

Also, the stovetop sits lower than I'm comfortable with. All controls etc are at the back, which is handy, but some of the fonts for the descriptions of functions are pretty small and hard to read
